Came in today for 2 front tire replacement I ordered from Tire rack. After waiting an hour to get them installed they put on the wrong tires! Not sure how that's possible because when they pulled out the right tires they had my name and information on them. After waiting another 30minutes to get the right tires installed they lost 2 of the lug not covers. Some of the employees claimed that the car came in with them missing but i had pictures with all of them installed before car was dropped off. After a sweep of the shop they were found. It's great to have young kids working there but make sure there competent in what they're doing so that customers like myself don't have a bad experience. read more

I paid $1500 for my tires. Made an appointment. Kai quoted me an hour. Its been an hour and my car is STILL in the home depot parking lot!! To say I am dissatisfied is an understatement! I have my 3 kids, including my two year old toddler. I Informed Kai I needed to leave by the hour time frame due to a family emergency... I check my car... still in the parking lot. Why would they quote an hour and not be transparent with the timeframe? All they could offer is their apologies but what is that going to accomplish besides making me more upset? When I arrived, Kai said my car was next. Its been an hour an 20 minutes... my car is yet to be brought into the shop. I WILL NEVER COME! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME . THEY WILL BLAME THEIR LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND TRANSPARENCY ON THE CONSTRUCTION. Id rather drive a little longer to Salinas or San Jose to get better service. I was on my way to work in Fresno and the unfortunate event, the tire light went on and it was 7am and luckily I was just down where Sonic was so I headed here. Added some air as I noticed there was a single nail in the rear tire which I know is repairable. Upon opening, I was taken care of and explained to the sales rep what the issue is which is a nail in the tire that should be patched up and they said they can get me out within a good time. Service mechanic came out and said they can't repair it but I was looking at the area, it was a repairable area and he refused to repair it and insisting that I should replace all 4 tires even though 1 tire was a few months old. That shows that he didn't bother to look at the other ones and trying to make a desperate sale. I ended up forking up and paying for a single tire and the threads were still good for a few months because I had to go on my way to work in Fresno. I didn't want to argue since I am not that type of person. The transaction did feel right and I felt like the mechanic was pushing pressure and was desperate for some tire sales. I've been a long time customer at America's tires bringing my other cars to other locations but this experience wasn't right. I did emailed the corporate office just to express how I felt and was promised that someone from the shop would give me a call to follow up on my concern. This was August and no one reached out even they said the second time someone would call. Seem like there some inconstancy with this stores and the others. read more

First of all I never write reviews with this being my first. Doug at America's Tire was incredible. Long story short, I was driving from LA, hit a pot hole on 152 and my tire went flat. Had my car towed to his store and even though they didn't have my tire in stock he found a way to put a loaner tire on so I could get home and had the store closest to where I live order me the right tire. I usually have these guys swap or repair my tires but the last couple of times they would forget to reset my tire pressure alarm, or forget to put the valve back on my tire, and the most recent was I had to go back to them because the alarm went on after I bought tires and one of the tire pressures was low so they had to put air back in (all of my tire pressures were fine before going in). These things need a final checkup before the car is given back to the customer. read more

Greeting was fine. I had an appointment so all was good. When I checked my newly installed tires before leaving, I noticed a lot of weight on the wheels and also noticed the yellow dot on the tires was not aligned with the valve stem as it was supposed to be. I told the rep about it. He took the vehicle back to have it corrected. When I got it back the second time, the valve caps were missing and they had put gold colored steel valve stems on my silver wheels. Very poor attention to detail. read more

I called America's Tire and the guy who answered (Nick I think?) was awesome. He provided a very reasonable quote over the phone and said as soon as I can get the car there, he would have it completed in 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES! i'm always satisfied with my visits here especially this location. the employees are knowledgeable & as long as you have an appointment you're out within the hour. i replaced my tires a little over 3 weeks ago & unfortunately got into a crash & popped one of the new tires. i was expecting to pay full price since i didn't add on the warranty, but since i had bought the tires within 30 days they covered the full cost of the tires for me. all i had to pay was installation & a small price different. i walked out paying way less than half than i was expecting. money is tight right now so this was an awesome surprise. they will take care of you & the service is always top tier. it is the best tire shops you can go to. before my grandpa passed away he would always take my car here & tell me not to go anywhere else. i listened to him & have gone here for over 10 years now. you can't beat the prices either. any other tire shops are charging TWICE as much WITHOUT warranty. they definitely have me as a lifelong customer. thank you guys! read more

I was referred to them by AAA Roadside Assistance after my tire got pinched in the car wash. My valve was destroyed and needed to be replaced in order to hold air. I was told they would do this for free. I got the service for free but waited longer than needed due to their lack of promptness when my vehicle was finished. I had to remind them to give me my keys back. The guy told me to wait a couple minutes before the sensor would recalibrate and it took 24 hours. Turns out I had a bad sensor. Also my wheel started making noises after this visit. Went to my usual shop and they replaced the sensor and fixed the wheel noise. Probably not going back. read more

Going to Monterey and Car had blow out due to pothole. Call and was told they can service and will only be 45min. Towed to shop Purchase 2 tires and 2hours later and reminding them about car they finally got tires on and we were on road. They want your business so very polite but very slow service. Their prices are great and if you make an appointment they take you on time. Today I had a screw in one of my tires. They were busy and told me apx 90 minute wait time. They checked my tires, which was awesome because I was not sure I needed all 4 replaced. He told me how they all compared, but I like to buy them in sets. He pulls up the tires I searched. I had my daughter going there for 10 years, today my daughter took her car in for a screw in the tire (she has road hazard) and she waited two hours from 8:30 to 10:30 and she finally talked to someone again to say hey, she's been waiting for two hours to get a simple screw in the tire to get fixed. We are loyal customers and should be treated like that. I was going to go there in the next week to get snow tires and I may go somewhere else. Very poor. This location needs to train its employees with SOFT SKILLS: 9:45 am entered the door and observed 4-5 people gathered around talking behind an associate who helped me check-in for my appointment. He tried to get my information but the associates continued to have a conversation so we couldn't hear each other. The associate who checked me in casually talk to me like I am his next-door neighbor instead of humbly taking my information because the people were too loud. I happily opened the door for him to check the mileage in my car. (Mental Note: That was already interesting because I bought several tires from the Fremont location and I have not experienced anything like this!) I asked him if he could change only two tires but he was nice enough to recommend changing 4 tires because they were all bald. I insisted and asked him if he could change two tires. Anyway, we went back inside and handed in my key then went to the bathroom. Shocking! The bathroom was so FILTHY! (Mental Note: This is not America's Tires anymore! It reminded me of a small gas station at the side of the road that has dirty bathrooms.) I left the store for an hour then when I came back I saw my car parked in the lot so I went inside and was greeted by the same associate. He walked out with me but this time he opened the door. He told me he changed all 4 tires and went back inside then handed me my keys (without the work order receipt). I drove away and noticed the car was bouncing, the steering wheel was following the groove of the road and it was steering left and right. Also, when I sped over 59 mph car was bumpy and shaking. The next morning I drove my car to work which is approx. 49 miles away and felt so scared. Later that morning I talked to another associate who was polite and immediately responded to my safety concerns. He sent me to the closest America's Tires (Hamilton Branch) to do balance the tires. I was flabbergasted to see more than 5 cars ahead of me. However, the efficiency and their teamwork is something the Gilroy staff should replicate. My car was done and fixed in 50 minutes! They used technology (i.e., text message) to inform the guests or customers of the status of the car so they could attend to incoming customers instead of answering questions when their vehicles will be done. You see...EFFICIENCY! They were polite, professional, and efficient. Thank you America's Tires Hamilton Branch! Obviously, the Gilroy team needs to grow and continue to train their staff to develop soft skills (i.e., professionalism, efficiency, and INTEGRITY). Big difference in service but same company. Let's reflect on that America's Tires CORPORATE! read more

After a week later for the tires arrive I asked them to keep one of the good tires and put it in the trunk. I had tried to order tires online as there was a $110.00 rebate offered for online orders. I was asking for a price match with the dealers price and they were not able to honor it as they could not open my links for the match, they told me I could go into the location with my dealers info to have the price match. The location agreed over the phone to honor the dealers price and would charge me $22.00 per tire to mount. I sent my daughter and the clerk Jose kept trying to upcharge each tire by saying they have a "price out the door" when I asked for clarification on the up charge he could give none. We finally settled on my just purchasing the tires to avoid the upcharge of almost $90.00. When he put the tires into the back of my suv he kept slamming the hatch even though the tires were in the way and my daughter tried to tell him to move the tire that was in the way as he was damaging my hatch. Jose would not even acknowledge her. When she arrived at JC tires on Monterey they immediately caught that she had been given the wrong size tires even though I had mentioned the correct size many times. I returned the tires to Americas Tires and when I asked for my rebate form I was told to "get it off the internet" by Jose. JC Tires offered me the rebate form. I jut could not believe how rude Jose was and I wrote to Americas Tire weeks ago but have not had any response from corporate regarding the online rebate and continued tire care. I realize they are a big corporation but it was not my fault that I had to go into the business to receive the price match and they should give me the online purchase rebate as I originally tried to purchase the tires online. Perhaps other locations are better but this one is lacking in customer service and honesty. I am grateful that my hatch was not destroyed and I finally received the correct tires. read more

not sure if i'm the only one who has experienced this, but a couple months ago, went in to change all four tires(for new ones) & they completely messed up the brake dust shield, causing my brakes to sound horrendous. it's definitely embarrassing. went back the next day, & all they said was "just buy some spray & that should take care of it"... even though it was my food delivery car, i'm still upset on how they handled it. won't be going back here. read more

Still, when I arrived for the appointment, having been told to expect an hour for four tires, it took more like half an hour. All the men (only men) in there acted so disrespectful towards me and treated me like if I didn't know anything about tires and made me feel so uncomfortable. The first time I tried to make an appointment in person and I was ignored for a while then they said they were so busy and to "Go wait in your car". After hours of not being helped I made an appointment and ordered my tire online with the help of a friend. I still to this day have never received a call from them. On the day of my appointment they were rude in asking for my information and left without saying anything else. One of my tires got nail. they came out check all my tires to see any other tire have nail too. It took about 30 minutes to fix but they didn't charge anything, not even the labor.
