Amerigas is the absolute worst on all levels!! I moved in January to the East Coast and notified them in December. The new owners opened an account, taking over the tank rental from them. In March, I got a bill for this year's tank rental plus a late fee . . . nothing before that. When I called, the customer service rep seemed to be in the Philippines. He told me my bill was for the prior year's tank rental. I pulled up my account and showed him that it was paid and the new bill clearly stated it was for 2025. He argued with me for quite some time before admitting that it needed to be reviewed. I have since received 3 more bills with another late fee and made several more phone calls without resolution. Their answer? Call us in 72 hours to see if it has been resolved. Time to get my lawyer involved. A zero rating would be too high for this nonsense. read more

2nd time this winter dec. 2022 to February 2023. They let my tank run to 10 percent. Been calling since 30 percent for fill. Driver did not show. They have gone down hill In 2 years. I wonder if they will file bankruptcy soon? I am at 9 percent now and will be empty in 2 days. February 14, 2023. read more

I would have given them a zero but that wasn't an option. There is no America left in AmeriGas. They need to change their name. No local offices anywhere near me. Customer service isn't able to change my address. Constantly having huge problems getting them to deliver in anything remotely resembling a timely fashion. Time to switch companies. read more

1) Once again trying to get a delivery from Amerigas. They have transfered me from agent to agent for one hour, still on hold. In the red at 15%. Have not heard one good thing about this company. I highly encourage anyone to NOT sign up with Amerigas. 2) Spent a total of 9 hours on the phone in December to get my pre-buy account corrected. They kept charging me a non pre buy price per gallon. 3) I have an underground tank so I inquired about purchasing the tank and they said I could. I called back to make the purchase and they said they decided not to sell the tank and I would have to pay to have the tank dug up. Now I'm ready to contact Gary Harper, on channel 3. read more

I have tried to get a bill of sale (Amerigas) for my tank which I paid for. I also cancelled automatic home delivery 4 times only to learn another truck was on its way to fill my tank. I paid $1297.27 on the 13th of this month via VISA. I cannot fill the tank without the bill of sale which I signed and returned on the 13th. I have called 22 times. Even your managers hang up. I would suggest everyone switch to Barret. My last 2 bills for 30 days each was over $2,000+ (for a month). If this is not taken care of I will simply forward my position paper to the newspaper and State Senator labelled Blackmail . Bye the way, this firm refused to initially sell me the tank or lease it. read more

So, they let us run out of gas on a weekend in October, and we were on autofill and we had just purchased a 500-gallon tank from them. To add insult to injury they have an after-hours calling service that does not answer their phone--I assume because people leave them nasty messages because they suck so bad. read more

Amerigas is supposed to monitor and deliver propane, automatically, to my mom's cabin in Highland Pines--6300 ft elevation. They allowed the tank to run empty in January of 2023, yet told no one of the issue. No call. No letter. No heat. And because they couldn't fill the tank without an adult on site, it simply sat there until I drove up and checked on it on 3-11-2023. I called and scheduled an emergency fill for 3-13-23, only to receive a text message saying the fill had failed. Calling them again, they told me, "oh yeah, an adult needs to be there because we let it go empty." Another emergency fill was scheduled for 3-14-23, with the understanding I'd drive up from Phoenix to meet the technician. 3-14-23 came and went with no one showing up to fill the tank. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

I wish there was an option for a zero star. Worst company ever. On automatic delivery. No fuel was delivered NOW DAY 6 with no heat ij the coldest part of December l. Called 5x for emergency delivery since their system is "on the fritz" I've spend hundreds of dollars on a hotel. They didn't tell the driver I was in a hotel so now I have to wait LONGER for them to check for leaks and turn my gas on. This is the most ridiculous company I have ever delt with. I called them on the phone to see about getting service to our new home and what it would take. I spoke with two people on the phone. Never had a visit. Never got service. The guy I spoke with told me that since the house wasn't complete there was no reason to do a site visit and to call them back when the house was ready! But a week or so later I received a bill for $216.98 for a dispatch fee and a site survey. Again, no one EVER visited my location. So I called to dispute the bill and had to sit on the phone with some guy from India for over an hour. And all he did was say he would put in a dispute. Ridiculous. This just cost this company my business. I will not deal with a company that fakes invoices. read more

Horrible customer service with Amerigas! We have used them before with no problems but now.... we ordered propane on November 29. It was to be delivered on or before December 6th. It never came. We called and were told it would be here in 48 hours. It's now been 72 hours. Today we have spent probably 2 hours on the phone with their out-sourced customer service agents. One said the best he could do was get it to us in "72 hours". Another 72 hours!!! We are sitting at about 10-15% currently. We repeatedly asked speak to a supervisor. They WILL NOT let you speak to a supervisor, if there even is one at their location. After numerous times placing us on hold, they hang up on us! Then they have the audacity to say they can deliver on an "emergency basis" for a fee of $300!!! The last agent said he'd elevate our situation and their delivery team will call us with a time. My guess is we won't see it until Monday at the soonest. We got each agents' names (Robert, Ron etc) but they "are not allowed to give us their employee number. All this being said, just beware!! read more

We had Amerigas pick up our tank because after 20 years of doing business with them it was going to take 10 days to deliver a tank of gas to us. It took YG 1 day. Amerigas charged us 59.99 to pick up the tank and then proceeded to charge us 35.00 a month interest on the debt of 59.99. We mailed them a check for 95.99 on February 17, 2019 (mailed in Dewey going to Prescott) and they held it for 3 weeks so they could charge us another 36.00 in interest. These people are just awful and dishonest. read more

Signed up for service when it was Flame, and then Amerigas bought them out shortly the start of my service so my contract was with Flame not these twits. After 5 years of service it was time to dump them, so I called and they told me to run my tank down as close to (0) as I could, so I did...I ran it EMPTY (VALVE WAS LEFT OPEN) Called to have the tank picked up back in Dec of 2020 and said they would get there ASAP. 6 months later the tank was still here called again and they told me because of COVID they had cancelled all pickups of tank til further notice (DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD GET COVID FROM A PROPANE TANK - BUT OK). I told them I don't think so and to get that thing off my property now or else!. So after a couple of days they finally came and got it, and now this is were the fun starts....get a closing bill, they are trying to charge me a pump out charge for $149.99 and a service call for another $69.99 - remember the tank was EMPTY so what was there to pump out the fumes?. Called the NO SERVICE line and was told that I was right, the tank was indeed EMPTY however that is the minimum they charge and it could even more if the tank was partially full.....the total bill was $307.26 just to have the stupid tank picked up. I'm going to send them a bill for storage of their tank for the 6 months that I had to see that ugly thing here, because why?....they are charging me tank rental for those 6 months it sat here. DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE, IT"S THEIR WAY OR NO WAY AND YOU CAN'T TALK TO THEM, AND IF YOU DO USE DECIDE TO USE THEM GOOD LUCK WITH THEIR (NO SERVICE). read more
