I would give negative stars but I'm not given the option I was reading these reviews and every single one of them except for two are all one star reviews. And then the other two reviews are just two star reviews. How are you guys even in business? Funny someone else had already written that in a review.. I'm flabbergasted! The customer service is not even subpar. We've been fighting with them because they keep saying we have a 1000 gallon tank on our property when we literally only have two 500 gallon tanks but they're charging us for 1, 1000 gallon tank and a 500 gallon tank. Our invoice on installment says two 500 gallon tanks why they switched it to 1000. I'm not quite sure but I think that's illegal and it's called fraudulent. So this also means that the contract we have with them is now void because they are in breach of that contract! An it's their own contract. The guy when we called the customer service line asked us why we paid the bill if it was wrong? Do you wanna sleep in the house that's 32°? It's warmer outside than it is inside. And another telling sign that the contract is now void is that we are forced to make a payment due to economic hardship. The customer service people are ignorant. We were on the phone for two hours. When in the first 5 mins I said I wanted to speak to a manager. The guy try to handle the situation on his own, which clearly he was incapable of doing so an hour and 45 minutes goes by an he was like well I can't help you with them. I'm gonna have to transfer you to my manager. Well, no sh*t! 15 minutes later, they hang up on us after waiting on the phone for two hours!!! Every time my husband has me call they tell me I'm not on the contract or I'm not on the paperwork so they can't tell me anything. I was the original owner on the account! I'm the one who made the first initial appointment now all of a sudden I don't have authorization to discuss it. Im the one who made the account! And then when my husband try's to put me "on the account" they never add me. I went onto the website and added my number in hopes hopefully they'll talk to me but still no! There's no communication from the office to the customer service center. They do not communicate AT ALL! When you tell the people at the office that they're charging you for 1000 gallon tank and it's a 500 gallon tank they won't even look at the receipt that states that they put two 500 gallon tanks on my property they just tell me well talk to the driver. What does the driver have anything to do with my account? That's not his job! He put down two 500 gallon tanks because that's what's on my original receipt! The office had to have changed i! We've also been charged with late fees even if the bill was paid in full! They also are charging us for maintenance on the propane tank that is rented from them. They are supposed to take care of the normal wear and tear on the propane tank, not us and they charge us a service fee of $300 to service their propane tank. My husband and I just got out of a lawsuit with Christian brothers because they took off with one of the trucks for three hours and stole all of our shit out of the truck. So we sued them and we won. Looks like this is gonna be another one of those cases if we don't get any resolution ASAP. And yeah, we even signed our rights away for a NO jury trial. The judge was the jury and we still won! For the simple fact of stealing and being in breach of their own contract. I'm so sick of big corporations feeling like they can take advantage of people it's so disgusting to me the lack of integrity these days is beyond me! Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves! And why is there a no run out contract but I still have to go check the propane tank to see if it's getting low on propane in order to call you to let you know that my propane is getting low. Why is there a no run out contract if I'm still having to call them when I'm running low to order more propane. It should be a self monitoring contract not a never run out because we have run out. If it's a no run out contract shouldn't they know when it's going to run out? They don't monitor it? The contract doesn't make sense! It should be, You monitor, you call us, we fill within the month. read more

Terrible service. First they "accidentally" cancelled our automatic delivery. Then when the tank ran out, they promised an emergency delivery in 24 hours. Then, the next day, when they hadn't delivered, they claimed on the portal the request had only been placed today and it was no longer emergency. The folks in the Phillipines who take the calls are kind, but have very little ability to provide information on dispatch. No local number to call. Once the tank is full, we will cancel and go to another provider. read more

Would rate a 0 if I could... One of their propane delivery trucks turned around in our newly asphalted driveway, ignoring the caution tape. It pulled up some of the asphalt. I have no recourse because "I am no longer an existing customer" (used to be a customer but had lots of bad experiences with them). Adding mine to the ever growing list of bad reviews. Before Covid, I was their champion, but their new system is absolutely horrible. I usually order (now) at 40-50% and even then they will let me run down to zero before they come out. Starting at 10% I am calling them every day and they say they will be out the next day and then never come. Really, I cannot believe they would keep lying to us. Evergreen, CO. Been trying for weeks to get a propane delivery. I created an account as a new customer, called to schedule the safety inspection and gas delivery. When we bought the house the tank was low, 12%, I told them this. Been calling every week, stressing the urgency, each time they said someone will call back to schedule the safety inspection, no one ever did. Today we ran out of propane, in the winter in the Colorado mountains, and I've been on the phone for an hour (mostly on hold) trying to get someone to provide us some service. read more

I was on a routine delivery route??? Ran out of propane twice during the winter months. AmeriGas delivery guys were extremely rude when they finally showed up over a week without propane. When I asked them to wear a mask when they entered my home the guy blew up saying,"I don't have to wear a fu&king mask." Then stormed down the stairs. Sorry if I'm immuneocomprised. I offered him a clean mask but he refused. They also refused to check for propane leaks and refused to bleed the lines and start the pilot lights. I could go on with complaints. This is the second time this horrible company has left us without heat. Even though we placed our order weeks in advance. The first time they did that we had no heat for two weeks...in 15 degrees in the mountains. Two weeks!! Now it's happened again....we have no heat, we call them and they say someone will be out in 24/48 hours. That was a week ago! As I write this, I'm sitting in front of a space heater so my baby and I can stay warm. Negligent, cold and uncaring. If you are looking for a propane company, look somewhere else. Took the day off work to meet the driver for required safety inspection ... he went home instead. Asked neighbors for alternatives - Fred's has 5 thumbs up so far. It's been 20 days now since I placed an order. I've called them 7 times. I've been assured my order has received a priority AND emergency rating. I'm repeatedly told that I'm "on the route" for that day's delivery. I've even been told by a supervisor (somewhere in Asia) that he "guarantees" I'll receive my delivery that day...that was 2 days ago. Do not use this business , avoid at all cost. Last year We ordered gas fill . 10% in the tank. 5 days no fill. Temps went down to 8 degrees . 3% in the tank. Still no delivery. Numerous calls. If you are looking for a propane provider in the Front Range area do not use AmeriGas! AmeriGas has failed to show up for multiple scheduled visits and never even calls to inform us. They are incredibly non-responsive and disorganized. We would have dropped them long ago, but because the leased tanks came with the property that we recently bought we are stuck with them for now. Recently, we were at 35% full when they were supposed to come and now, we are at the 20%. We are below the "needs fill" level and the weather is starting to get cold. AmeriGas please show up for once! We have a second broken tank stuck on our property that belongs to AmeriGas that we can't use and they won't fix. My partner did hundreds of dollars and days' work of work (that AmeriGas should do) just to jump start things so AmeriGas would show up. Now they won't even call to cancel on us. I'm currently trying to figure out if there is a regulatory agency that I can get involved. We are looking into crane/tractor rentals (and spending more of our own money) to try and get THEIR busted tanks off our property so we can switch providers. We rely on them for heat in the mountains and they let their customers freeze. Shame on you. read more

The WORST service!! Placing my propane order seemed relatively easy, however billing has been a disaster. I own my own tank and tend to shop around for prices prior to ordering propane. I was quoted a market price for my order prior to placing it ( which is why I chose Amerigas). However, when my bill came the price wasn't what I was quoted, it was higher of course. I have sent emails, called, been placed on hold for a minimum of an hour and still no one would answer or help with this. The one person who actually did answer (after holding for an hour) was rude and completely unhelpful. Made me sit on hold for an additional 20 minutes to "file a dispute" then I was conveniently disconnected before I could verify the case ID. This company is a joke! read more

Another 1 star winner for not being option of 0 stars. Horrible service had to wait last year for 3 weeks (2weeks after they collected payment). I told them that it'll not going to work. The whole saga is in BBB claim. I am loosing my patience them to pick up their tank that they refused to sell to me while even their employee that came this summer was amazed how that is possible. Anyway I went with different provider that used for over 10 years. The AmeriGas was called on Oct 2nd to get their precious property. The tank still sits on my property for over a month. I called on 11/02/2020 again and was put for over an hour on hold w/o any luck to get someone alive on the phone. Bottom line is if AmeriGas tank is still there after the 1109/2020 I just want to let them know here that metal collectors has it. read more

They have blocked people out of their tank when they were the cause of the problem, not showing up two or three times when they said they would. Their prices are awful and their service is terrible. I often seem to be giving Amerigas a "bad review". And I don't want to. The people in the Evergreen Colorado office are the nicest people in the whole world. The service men that deliver are spectacular and professional. My driveway is broad and level and my tank is easily accessible. My problem is that I can rest assured that once a year the Evergreen Office fails to refill my tank even though I am supposed to be on automatic refill. I run into a problem at least once a year, usually over the December-January months. My tank says 20%. I call them. They promise to come out in 7-10 BUSINESS days. A week later when my tank gets to 10%, I go into the office. I ask for the route that I am on. I'm never on a route. I plead. I am polite. I understand. I truly do. But every year I get down to 3-4% and a nail-biter. I hate it. Why can't Amerigas just fill my tank without drama or a 3 week delay? And their website is often down with some incomprehensible "server time out error". I would like to leave a review on their website but half the time I can't get to the website. I'm so frustrated. I wish there were any other company in town that I could switch to. read more

WORST customer service I have experienced!!! I'd give them a -10 rating if I could. They absolutely do not care about your needs. I put in a request to have my tank moved so I could build a garage and after 4 months...yes that's right 4 months!!! They still had not moved the tank 20 ft. I told them if they do not move the tank by the end of the week they can just come pick it up and cancel my service their response was "OK"..This was in September 2014, its now Feb. 2015 and guess what.. the tank is still sitting in my driveway!!!
