You never speak to a local person. Only foreigners. And we lease the tank. They told us that if there is a repair to be done on the tank "we" have to pay for it. We don't own the tank so why should we have to pay for it! And they want to charge us $420 to come get the tank for discontinuing their poor service. AmeriGas is terrible and their customer service sucks! They don't care about their customers at all . So we are switching to another propane company. I wouldn't tell anyone to use AmeriGas. Never! I just cancelled their services because their propane price was twice the average in this area. I called their customer service 4 times but got foreign reps. Now Amerigas is charging me $420 for a cancellation fee when I should be getting a credit for unused propane and return of their tank. I'm so fed up with their accounting tactics and customer service. DO NOT use Amerigas ever. There are several reputable companies out there that won't rip you off. read more

We had Amerigas service for 12 years. Now they have no local offices in or near Ellijay, GA. Customer service is totally automated, Until you get a foreigner you can't understand and they don't understand you. I hate Amerigas. read more

Absolutely the poorest excuse for a business. I placed an order and scheduled for delivery. Delivery did not happen. Called and was placed on hold for over 40 minutes to be told that they lost my order. But that they would waive the expediting fee to have it delivered with zero compensation. I would never recommend AmeriGas to anyone. And will warn anyone away that I can. read more

We are Amerigas customers (formerly Heritage Propane) in Ellijay, Georgia. We prepaid our propane on July 1, 2020 and are on automatic delivery. The last fill we had was May 20, 2020. We do not live here full time and leave our heat at 50 during the winter months. We checked our tank on Dec. 22 and it was at 36%. My husband called and they said we would get a delivery between 12/22/20 and 12/30/20. So far no delivery. We called the 800 number and waited over an hour to speak to someone. All they could say is that they had our request for delivery (why do we need to request a delivery when we are on automatic delivery?). They told us the delivery was 7-10 days from the request. It's 1/1/21 and no delivery and we need to head back home to Florida. What to do? I would never recommend Amerigas to anyone. Look for a local propane company. read more
