Jeremy & Dave showed up on time & were very knowledgable about siding. They showed us the two main options they had which were fiber cement & vinyl. The way the description was written in the contract, was very broad. (my mistake for not micro-analyzing it). When asked to correct the job to our liking, I was told, at first, it would be a ridiculous amount of more money. My initial reaction was that I'd wish I'd gone with another Company. HOWEVER, at the end of the day, their work left on my house represents their business.... A large company would WANT TO DO RIGHT for the customer--which turns into more business for the company--WHICH IS WHAT THEY DID. THEY MADE IT RIGHT. ... Manager/owner, Dave, made it right! He listened and addressed our concerns and was very helpful (Within just a few hours he was at our house helping us). We ended up getting more work done by Ameriside. The workers' are awesome and professional.... OVERALL, VERY HAPPY WITH THE END RESULTS .... I would highly recommend Ameriside. 3/30 - met with Dave Palmer, President of Ameriside. Dave was anxious to revive our interest in his company, after the poor showing by his salesman/Design Specialist. He was very pleasant, and straightforward about his company. We were very clear on what we wanted, a Milgard Door and a Pella Window, but Dave was very determined to sell us his choices, not ours. He indicated that if we insisted, he would sell us what we wanted, but repeatedly stated, delivery could be a problem, and quality was far less that what he wanted to sell us. He also insisted that our desire for a Milgard Door with the Magic Touch handle was misguided, and that door/locking mechanism was not as it was promoted. We took the time to confirm that the door was in fact just great, and met all the things we liked about it, both form and function. I upped my rating to 3 stars because Mr. Palmer took the time respond to an earlier review. But I couldn't go any higher because he was so negative about Milgard products and services, a line he carries and sells. read more

Had someone come out for a quote on insulated exterior vinyl siding and replacing two windows. The guy told us $35,440!!! Mind you, our house is tiny (850 sq ft), and no crazy craftsmanship to be expected. He said that their prices have gone up over 1/3 in the past year alone! Ridiculous. The process from estimate to installation was smooth and quick dispite one little hiccup. My windows were ordered before I had HOA approval and changes needed to be made. I wasn't hasseled about it and new windows were ordered. The installation was done quickly and efficiently. The gentlemen who installed the windows were careful not to make a mess and cleaned up afterwards. They even put my valences and blinds back up. I bet they would have taken them down too if I hadn't done so already. I am very satisfied with my new windows. They are beautiful and improve the look of my condo immensely. Andy was unenthusiastic, salty and him and the online correspondence was unapologetically rude. Outside of that their estimate was $20,000 ?!! For 7 windows and a French door? Really am not sure what to put here. After much research, I chose Ameriside for new windows. The windows themselves are beautiful. That was not the issue. Customer service and response time was. They took down my fibrous woven wood shades and reinstalled them wrong. They had told me to wait to draw the shades and to let the caulk dry. When I put them down, they kept catching on the bracket, which would eventually break them, so I had to manually move them, every time. That was quite a hassle. So I emailed Ameriside, got a response (cc'd to someone else, too) to come out and check. Never heard. So emailed again, was told they were busy and someone would get back to me later....thought that was rude, as they caused the problem. In the meantime, I reached out to the person who originally installed the shades. He came out on his own time, did not charge me, and had to totally reinstall them, as they had been put back wrong. I eventually did hear back from this cc'd individual, but too little too late. Really disappointed in their customer service. PS. Yesterday I received both a phone call and an email from two different people from this company suggesting I change my review or delete it completely. This makes me very uncomfortable. read more

I've waited a couple of weeks to write this since I'm considerate that this review may or may not hurt someone's job. This is my personal opinion from my personal Experience. I had a male come out to my home for an estimate. He arrived about 10 minutes late. Came in, was very polite and before I knew it, he was taking measurements. After doing so, he said he was going to write up the estimate but actually walked back into my home with bags of window samples and whatnot. Long story short, he tried to up-sell me and from a $16,XXX quote, he had brought the price down to $7XXX. And honestly, i lost interest when I saw how frustrated he became after I told him I was going to think about it because it didn't fit our budget. He immediately told me he had lower priced windows that would Work but I had already made up my mind. He was clearly upset when he asked me if I was going to have him drive "all the way back to lake forest without a sale ". I get it, everyone had a job but what a terrible temperament this man had. His pressured sales tactics were also an inconvenience. The price quoted from this location was a couple, and I mean a couple of hundred dollars difference from the company i decided to go with but that was totally worth the customer service and the estimate experience. Well....where do we start? We bought a fixer upper on the border of LA and Orange County. There was a lot to do inside but the exterior needed something else....it was such a hotch potch of styles, materials and colors that we had no idea whether to paint it or what to do. Then my wife suggested siding....well I was a bit skeptical but we saw the Ameriside reviews and after more research I agreed it would be the way to go. Frankly it seemed the best/only way to sort out the exterior into some kind of uniform look and also the 20+ year guarantee on the siding and the elastomeric coating that Dave suggested clinched it for us. Dave was great. He came and met us at the house multiple times to talk about the siding layout, colors and all the little details, down to replacing the gutters. We were so confident with his expertise that we decided to also go with Ameriside to replace the gutters and front door - both of which were severely dilapidated. We were not disappointed. The quality of work was outstanding. All crews were highly experienced and paid attention to detail. Disclaimer. This is my personal opinion based on my personal experience I had Ameriside come out for a quote a few months ago and I was very disappointed. I've sat on this for a while because I didn't want to make any rash comments on someone's business but it's bothered me enough that here we are. Two guys showed up, one guy said he was an EMT Before and he was really nice and professional. The other guy wasn't. ( I believe his names was Jeremy) They came and measured. At the end the guy gave me a hand written paper with two prices. When I said they were my first quote and I'll get back to him he got visibly agitated and literally took the paper from my hand and said that was his special pricing and I couldn't have it because I wasn't hiring them right then. The paper didn't have a letter head or anything official. He said it was his job to move the company forward and I need to trust that he's the best deal out there. For the record they were the highest quote by 2000 dollars with Home Depot being the next highest. The experience just left such a bad taste in my mouth that even if they were the best price I wouldn't use them based on my experience with that sales guy. I realize bad things happen and mistakes happen but this was my experience and I feel people should be aware. read more

There were so many important decisions and considerations to take into account before choosing a replacement windows. There's security, privacy, design, look and window function. I was in escrow on a house in central LA. I requested an estimate on siding repair vs replacement with Ameriside via their website. I received a callback/text the next morning offering me a date and time that was centered on my schedule. Jeremy came out for our inspection and estimate and did an amazing job. Walked me through options, did a thorough inspection of the existing siding and windows, showed me problem areas, answered all questions we had, and had a super quick turn around on a quote for the estimate. I was extremely impressed. He was very kind throughout our meeting, and extremely generous with his time. Dave even checked areas outside of the scope of siding work to provide his option on a leaking window frame I mentioned, located some wood trimming where termite damage still existed after I had another company come to replace it a week earlier. He also spent several minutes with tips to clean the garage door as he was leaving. He also offered to replace an old garage door trim which I'm glad he mentioned because after his crew completed the siding job, the house looked brand new. His installation team lead by Jose soldiered on working full days through the heat wave, communicating often and cleaning up at the end of the day without skipping a beat. They are super nice guys. They are not at the very low-end of cost, but you get what you pay for and they go above and beyond. I have to say that their pricing is VERY reasonable for their work. These folks are extremely professional, their crews are polite and clean up after themselves. Their work is impeccable. Shockingly impeccable. As far as the work we contracted, we had a porch covering built and our house painted with cool wall, which is an amazing product. My patio covering is custom and absolutely GORGEOUS. They customized the covering for us and it is just glorious. The paint and exterior/structural cosmetic repairs they did on the house before painting with cool wall is beyond perfect; my house is older and there were a lot of repairs needed. You cannot even tell where they made the exterior repairs, it so perfect. Not only do I love their work, the people we dealt with are honest to a fault, trustworthy, on-time, polite, clean and appreciative of your business (very refreshing).You cannot get any better than Ameriside. I had a great experience with Ameriside; from the initial estimate visit, all the way through the installation. I did get an estimate from a few different company to replace my windows of my home. I went with Ameriside because Jeremy, the salesman, was personal, he genuinely wanted to help, and was very honest. Also, they match the lowest price, which was awesome. Dave Palmer, the owner, came for the final measurement and was also a very nice guy. He was also personal, and seems more like a friend who is there to help versus just there for business and collecting checks. The installation took about a day (7-8 hours) to replace and install all 5 windows to my home. The windows look very nice and are of good quality. We love the new look, the insulation it gives during these cold days/nights and can't wait to see how it performs during the hot summer days. I hired Ameriside to replace two windows on the front of my house. The rooms face the sun all afternoon and were becoming overheated on hot days, causing me to run the AC for hours. I met Jeremy at the OC Fair. He gave me a quick demo and I scheduled an appointment. He came out, took a look, made a recommendation, and gave me a quote. There was no high-pressure sales pitch, only an offer of a 10% discount if I booked it on the spot. I'd done my homework, checked out reviews, and knew they were highly recommended, so I pulled the trigger. Dave (the owner) came out personally to do the measurements. Like Jeremy, he was personable and professional. He wasn't trying to sell, only to educate, inform, and provide a service. A month later, the custom windows were complete. José and his son showed up a few minutes late--but their office had called ahead to let me know. They were fast and professional. The install looks great. Don't get me wrong, the people who work for Ameriside are wonderful, and they worked beautifully with the HERO program, but the product (in terms of the siding) looks incredibly cheap up close. My front patio looks like it was built for a mobile home park. There are seams that make it really obvious that this is thin plastic rather than wood, the wood slats that they use at the corners are tacky, and the plastic moves under your fingers. I would recommend that if you want to use this product, go see how it looks on other people's homes first. read more

AMAZING!! Where to begin...I took four months to research siding contractors because I refused to settle for "just ok". Tobey came out to the house and offered the first bid. He was very professional and friendly, not pushy or "salesy". He was prepared to take measurements and show me potential problem areas, then explained thoroughly what they would do for me given the job. He set the bar very high that day, as nobody else even came close in professionalism or experience. Four months later I circled back to them as I was done collecting quotes. Dave (owner) called me back personally to refine their quote as they were a little on the high side in the beginning (although you get what you pay for) and came out to the house to walk through all the options and answer all my questions. It was like having family over...he was great. I ended up adding a French door, front patio cover, and deck prep to the deal after talking with Dave. They started the job immediately with an incredible crew of very experienced, professional, and seasoned guys who were also very personable. Chang is a master at his trade...his attention to detail was impeccable. He is not satisfied with anything until and unless it's done well and correctly (think water tight, leak integrity, aesthetics, etc). Gerry and Jose were also very skilled and experienced, and great to be around. They always showed up right at 8am, cleaned up every day, always came when they said they would, and were very responsive to any questions and concerns along the way. They finished our house and separate garage in mere weeks. Today is our first warm day of the year, and we are so thrilled and amazed that the Certainteed Siding that we chose based on on Dave's consultation is keeping the house as cool as if the AC was on, even though we have not turned it on. The patio looks AMAZING, and the French door gave our kitchen a whole new look. Robin was also so kind and patient working with me as I arranged for payment. I had some technical difficulty and needed a couple extra days to make arrangements, yet she was never threatening or rude. It is VERY difficult to find reputable, professional, dependable companies in any trade these days, but I am confident that you will not find a more upstanding company to work with if you are in need of siding, or anything else they offer.
