When I asked if the had carnitas, I was told they had chicharrón, which was almost the same. Well, I ordered lengua and barbacoa, because I had chicharrón from Oaxacan joints, which was fried, then stewed pork skin. I never really dug that texture. Well, I am an idiot. THEIR chicharrón is more akin to Colombian. It's pork belly. Get it. It's friggin' AWESOMELY tasty. The lengua and barbacoa? Fantastic. My girlfriend got three pork tacos with pineapple. They were stellar due to high-quality meat that was perfectly prepared. The pineapple added some great flavor to the dish without adding sweetness. My barbacoa burritto (no rice by choice) came heavy with exceptional meat and flavor. Absolutely incredible and well balanced. And their guacamole is phenomenal. Presentation was good and the crunch on the tacos was just right; not too crispy, not too soft. My girlfriend has the Carne Asada plate with her rating being a 3/5 stating the carne asada was thinner than she prefers and portions being slightly uneven. Overall i'd give it a 3/5 but i give it a 4 due to excellent service. The ambiance is slightly lacking but is something that could improve overtime.
