I had a bigger job done by Pruden Tree Service this time. After 20 years of Kenergy repeatedly trimming a large white pine near the easement of my side yard, it finally toppled over onto its heavy side on a calm day, no wind assist. It was 80 feet tall with 2.5' to 3' diameter trunk. Tree was there when I bought the property. Kenergy could have taken it at any time. They prefer to kill trees slowly over a 32-year period and let the home owner clean up after Kenergy gets it to fall away from the power lines. Pruden took care of that mess, and I had them take out a similar-sized or bigger tulip poplar, still standing, closer to the house while they were at it, between my breakfast and lunch times on Friday AM in mid September 2023. Huge crane, bucket truck, wood chipper, stump grinder, two dump trucks, chain saws, rakes and four men plus dynamic boss David Pruden executed the task flawlessly. I did not plant any of the problem trees in my yard. One miniature holly bush is all I take credit for. One each tulip poplar and white pine remain, both even taller than the problems just disposed of. I hope to keep them under control with the aid of Pruden Tree Service (PTS). This company is an absolute scam. The address listed on their website does not exist. The picture…read moreof their building does not belong to them. I accepted an estimate to have a tree removed. They scheduled several dates with me over the following three months, and failed to show up nearly each time. I eventually got a better estimate with another company. Bark Tree and Land said they wanted to keep my business, and agreed to match the newer estimate, they also agreed to cut down two dead limbs from another tree that hangs over my property. In the end, they did not fully remove the tree, they did not remove the two dead limbs, they charged me more than they agreed, they broke my concrete steps, and I have no way of finding them to serve small claims papers. Do NOT use this company. I'm attaching an image of the tree that they claim to have removed. I'm having to hire another company to finish they job that Bark Tree and Land failed to do.
