We have visited Amish Oak in Texas on a couple of occasions, and the staff is fantastic. The furniture is super high quality, great craftmanship! And, while a bit expensive, worth every penny. Buyer Beware! If you buy furniture from the San Antonio store you will need to pick it up in New Braunfels or pay to have it delivered from New Braunfels to your San Antonio home. None of this information was discussed at time of sell and ordering of my furniture piece. Reason given, because person working San Antonio store is too elderly to manage any delivery and apparently does not have any help to manage moving heavy furniture. Very disappointed with lack of customer service. Do not shop this store unless you plan making a trip to New Braunfels to pick it up. Worst Customer Service! read more

We have a dining table and chairs and a king bedroom suite, all built to our specifications. No, they are not inexpensive, but high quality, long lasting furniture isn't cheap. We've had the dining table and chairs since 2010, and the bedroom suite arrived this year. We use both every single day and the older pieces still look brand new. No one answered the phone. No one called back when a message was left. We went all the way down there to find that the specific item advertised on their website was not in the store. The person downstairs was not interested in helping us and blamed it all on someone 'upstairs'. read more

I called this business and asked if they had wooden outdoor rocking chairs. The sales woman asked if I wanted gliders or rockers and I said rockers. After driving 100+ miles to go there, I walked past the selection outside the front of the store and went in to ask some questions. It took several minutes of me yelling "hello" before anyone came from the back. When I asked about the wooden outdoor rocking chairs, they said all they had was out front. I said they aren't wooden, they are all plastic and this was a wasted trip for me. So I went outside to see if I could find "Made in China" stamped anywhere and another sales woman came out and asked what was the problem. I said the problem was these were plastic chairs after they told me they had wood ones. She said these are "POLYWOOD" and I said "POLY" means PLASTIC! So then she asked me what kind of wood was I looking for and I said THE KIND THAT COMES FROM TREES. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO BUY ANY KIND OF FURNITURE. EITHER THEY REALLY DON'T KNOW THEIR PRODUCT OR THEY ENJOY MISLEADING PEOPLE - SOMETHING A TRUE AMISH PERSON WOULDN'T DO. read more

I was very disappointed with the lack of Customer Service or attempt to try to help resolve a problem. The female manager (who declined to identify herself or even greet me in any acceptable manner), presented an attitude if impatience when I posed a problem to her. Her attempt to check on what could be done, was a very "Half Assed" effort to check out the situation. I left the establishment with an unfulfilled feeling, as if my business wasn't worth her time. Customer Service is very important to me, as a service business, I attempt to find solutions for clients who approach me with a problem. We are very satisfied with our experience at Amish Oak in Texas, New Braunfels store. Our purchase was a West Point Dover Leg Table, 36" by 48" solid top: Oak, stain OCS-113. We requested a customized boat shape top with round-over edges, because the table was intended for a high-traffic area in our home. The table was built and delivered within the time we expected. The table is exactly what we wanted; it is both elegant and sturdy. With the customized features, the table was well worth the price! read more
