Most areas of law are covered. All that is required is a phone call to the Service, or the completion of an application online. For a $40 fee, you get the name and contact information for a lawyer who specializes in dealing with the problems you confront. A 30 minute consultation to have your questions answered and advice given is the result. If both you and the attorney agree, further arrangements can be made for representation, but there is no obligation to go forward if either side does not wish to. If retained, agreements as to the nature of the work, and the method of payment will be set forth in a written document. Often, enough information is exchanged in this short time to provide direction to solving the problem quickly and without further expense. A little information can go a long way.
