Besides me there were three other ladies in the store, all workers. Or I assumed they worked there because one was behind the counter and the other two were putting things on shelves. I walked around browsing for about 10 minutes and not one of them bothered to greet me, ask what I was looking for, or offer help. I didn't find what I was looking for so I eventually left without even a word being spoken to me. The store has some cute jewelry, NOLA themed gifts and other home décor, and the prices were reasonable. But I won't be back to shop because there's nothing like feeling as though your business isn't important and you're invisible to employees. Customer service should matter.

You don't smell anything and the sun eats the plastic up. I took them back today and was given $0.75 for each unopened air freshener, totaling up to $4 and some change. So yes, walk in to the huge nursery but don't feel overwhelmed. There will be a well-informed employee there to help you. And you don't have to go hunting for them. Perino's is paradise at this time of year when most of our minds are geared towards making our outdoor spaces beautiful, even if in a month or two we will be hiding inside from the heat. Perino's has it all from annuals to perennials to shrubs to trees and everything in between. Yes, you're paying more for things than you will at HD or Lowes, but the quality is profoundly superior to what you'll get there (sidenote: it's depressing to see the wilting flora at the big box stores, clearly due to lack of watering. Then they put them on sale but c'mon). Perino's has sales at times, too. Proof of quality: I see in my last review 12 years ago that I mention buying a star jasmine vine. It was my first time there too. Shame on you, Tina. You should be ashamed for accusing me of something that was NOT my fault. You sold me a broken statue and had the nerve to say that it was my fault. Luckily we took pictures of the statue in store before we purchased it. I returned a statue of Mary that was too big for our mantle. I called the store to find out the return policy. She told me I had a week with a receipt. But to return it the next day. I go into the store the next day to return it. While she was checking out a customer, she stopped what she was doing to "help" me. She opened the box, barely had time to inspect it and already accused me of "breaking a finger of the statue". I was livid! It front of everyone in store, she was loud enough for everyone to hear what she said! I tried to explain to her that I only took the statue out to take a picture and check the mantle. And returned it back into the box. When I told her I had pictures of the statue, she ignored me and helped everyone else but me. Luckily for me, the owner came out and asked if I needed help. She stuck to her words and still LIED to him and said that I "broke the finger". So you sold me the item that was DEFECTED. So when I called to return the item, you already knew it was damaged and tried to refused my return! SHAME ON YOU! You probably charged the poor Priest that accidentally broke the glass when I was shopping there the day before. Because when you found out what had happened you kept saying "oh my god...oh my god..." YOU SHOULD NOT BE WORKING THERE! ESP AT A CHURCH SUPPLY STORE WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN BE HONEST!! I will NEVER return here again. My first and last time here! I'll keep going to MULE's and Pauline's.
