Amazing delicious sushi!!! The best in SGV for sure!! The quality of the fish is super super fresh. I can tell that the chef really take pride of every dishes he made which is rare in todays world. Me and my girlfriend come here at least once a week, we really enjoy the sushi and atmosphere. It is very cute and cozy. The food can take a while because Richie is the only chef but who cares just enjoy your family or partner while waiting for delicious sushi. This is a hidden gem. Some people might whine and complain saying that food takes too long to come out but the only reason that might be the case is because they take their time to insure that every plate you get is perfect. Oh man.... was I surprised about this place!!!! Anaba Sushi is located in a sad and lonely plaza where the only other restaurant is a Chinese budget restaurant. When I first drove into the plaza, I was very skeptical about this place, and was debating if I should go in or not. However, since this place only opens in the evening (5:30 - 9:30pm) it must mean something. When you walk into the restaurant, it gives you a nice comfortable feeling and in the cozy side. The entire dining room is well-decorated with Japanese decor. Looking through the menu, I see they have a large selection of Rolls, and also a good variety of Nigiri and Sashimi combinations. Be sure to try their Glendora Roll; it is extremely tasty and the best part is the sauce it comes with is not sweet like many other places that only use Sweet Sauce on their rolls. You get to choose which fish you want on top, and the sauce it comes with is excellent with a touch of lime and other ingredients. Their Sashimi Combo fish is very fresh and it really does melt in your mouth. Since I arrived here at 5:30, when they opened, I was seated right away, and during the dinner, I noticed this place filled up pretty quickly. My overall experience here was spectacular. Don't judge a book by it's cover. This plaza does look strange, but once you try their dishes, you will be so glad you came in. Anaba Sushi is great. I will definitely return here. read more

Yesterday, I came in with a party of 4 and we ordered: yellowtail sashimi, salmon basuga, Harry Potter Roll, Incredible Roll (not my fave but still good), Mango Salmon Roll, mackerel sushi, and salmon sushi. Amazing sushi! We don't order rolls we just go nigiri. Salmon yellow tail ahi are amazing. What's even better is the belly of all these fish if you are lucky enough to go when they have it. I went to this sushi restaurant, thinking I found a hidden gem in Glendora, boy was I mistaken. This is a non-exaggerated account of what happened: Small place (fits 20 people at the most, including sushi bar) Arrived at 7pm- Friday night, 2 adults 1 child 1 sushi chef, and 1 waitress, a party of 7 and a party of 2 at the sushi bar We waited 10-15 mins to order DRINKS, by that time, I had already wrote out my order on the ordering sheet We order several sashimi platters and 1 entree (from kitchen) A few more parties of 2 and 3 walked in around 7:30pm It was 8:05 when we received our MISO SOUP and EDAMAME 8:30 (1 1/2 hours later), we receive 1 of our orders (yellowtail carpaccio) -Mind you- party of 7 was there before us, and received their first order along with ours. By 9:30 (2 1/2 hours later), we received our last plate of food (all of which was ordered at 7:15). Crazy-- that's all I can say. Sushi chef behind? Yes, clearly..... then hire a 2nd one.. sigh. Oh.. quality? Didn't taste fresh, and was butchered, clearly chef was in a rush. I didn't care to even wait for our food any longer, as each dish was served 20-30 mins apart from each other.
