The chicken tikka was not the usual crazy orange colour but was nicely cooked with the green sauce a little spicy. We liked it. We experimented with Ghobi Manchuriya after we were told it was cauliflower. Nicest cauliflower with onion and capsicum with spicy sauce we have had. At this point we did call for more water. Both bottles were chilled and appreciated in our hot weather. The Mango chicken was sweet and the Malai Kofta had crunchy peanuts. Normally we wouldn't comment on rice or naan but these were good too. We arrived for Friday lunch at noon and the parking was a bit scarce. There is parking in the street. Image to this shop twice, and today I had a chance to try butter chicken and naan combo, that cost ke $10. Not to bad considering location at the food court. My butter chicken flavour was a ltitle unusual for me. I taste a very strong flavour of cloves that in my opinion over powering the whole dish. QA little too sour as well ( not off taste) I think that's the acidity that came from yoghurt, On the other hand, my naan bread was freshly baked at tandoor Claypot, it was soft and fluffy, love it. The sauce suffered slightly from a snotty texture, misfortune at the hand of cornflour. The sauce flavor was good though. Palak Paneer: LOADS of cheese! And good cheese too. Texture of the curry wasn't great and it could use more spice, but otherwise good. These guys could be a serious contender(may have been an off night) I think the phone system here is on its way out. Very crackly and flat, hard to hear and understand.

It is near the turnoff to Galston. There is plenty of onsite parking too. There was way too much food on this voucher for two people and it was such a good advertisement for the place. It is not a small restaurant and also has an area sectioned off for a private party. Whilst there appears to have always been an Indian restaurant here the current owners have been here for less than a year. I think I will have to come back on a Saturday night when they have their entertainment.

It does not finish a vat of oil per dish - there is no glistening layer of fat on top of your dishes, yet at the same time, they are generally not dry so that the spices get stuck in your throat. A perfect balance actually. 2. They have the options of spicy vs mild, and their dishes actually mean it. More often than not, even mild will be ridiculously spicy in Indian restaurants, but at Ginger, mild (for me at least) was so definitely mild. Not flavourless, but certainly not flavourful from the hit of chilli! But at least they cater to all palates. 3. They don't mess up your order. And this is after not using notepads. That is just SO boss. 4. There is no overdose of gaudy Bollywood music or overdone Indian decor. It is subtle, comfortable and smells of delicious Indian cooking scent everyone. Your meal isn't interrupted by whistles from songs or jangling, which is such a change! Overall, I would recommend Ginger to absolutely everyone! LAMB BIRYANI BADSHAI Not the best biryani but far from the worst. Nothing was wrong technically rice had a bite to it, lamb broke apart, there was something missing though. GARLIC NAAN Naan is an absolute must to clean up your curry. Fluffy and light, no complaints here. Conclusion Solid restaurant offering as many proper vegetarian as non-vegetarian mains that pack a ton of flavour.
