You are in the hands of professional barbers if you come to this barber shop. It is apparent that they value their relationship with their customers and vice- versa. Everyone is on a first name basis. The barbershop is clean and spacious and barbers are courteous. My husband and I are both very pleased with the outcome of his haircut. This business only accepts cash. read more

There are seats for 12-15 people including an old church bench in the shop. There are approximately 4 barbers and 1 student chair available. The shop is contemporary and new. Large space so no bumping shoulders. All of the staff are well versed barbers and familiar with a variety of styles, cuts, and shaved. Excellent experience. read more

Ads say walk-in welcome, but the 60 year old presumed-owner was as rude and condescending as possible. I thought I was in NJ with his crap attitude towards customer garnished with a derisive tone. If it's too late in the day to do a cut, Dude, then just say "We're closing soon, can I shedule you for tomorrow?" Not too hard, right? Nope, just had to be a jerk. I'm Brand new to the area and I thank God there are other quality shops around. If you want good service, go to Mr. J's. They give better service without the attitude. Better hours too. read more

Excellent barber shop with great cuts. I love the vibe there. You can expect to wait awhile if you don't call ahead, as they can get quite busy but it is worth the wait. read more

I tried to pay him again and he put his hand out to shake. I just gave him a hug! I feel as though I made a friend with a very special person. I cant speak highly enough of my experience!!

That was the first of many for my oldest grandson, 16 years later, he's still ONLY going to Mr J's Barber Shop with his PopPop, but today they added a third! Mr J's Barber Shop is tradition, it's family, and it's been a solid business in Chambersburg for decades! I should mention, haircuts by appointment! Yes! He's THAT good!
