We grabbed a white wine flight that was extremely well curated, every pour was refreshing and easy to enjoy. The flatbread was surprisingly really good too and paired perfectly with the wine. The back patio completely makes the experience though. Beautiful weather, live music setup, relaxed crowd, and just an overall easygoing Los Gatos afternoon vibe. The guava mimosas were also a standout. Light, fruity, refreshing, and perfect for patio sipping.

We started with Sangria (both red and white) and tho I like the white a bit more, both are really good. We also had the "a little bit of both" share charcuterie, and that was much more than expected! Not fancy, but 2 cheeses, 2 meats, assorted nuts, olives (have pits be safe!) and grapes with a few slices of a nice crusty bread and these really good large cracker type bread that was just perfect to have with our sangrias. We sat outside while a great local band played, the heaters were perfectly warm, nice string lights, and a good atmosphere. We also ordered a coffee and a beer later on, but I forget what kind of beer. Was good, I just don't recall the beer or ale. Staff was pretty attentive most of the time. The reason for not 5 stars: while I was in the industry for almost 50 years, our server seemed to get bored with us at some point and we had to flag her down. It was busy so I understand but the attitude changed a bit. Also, we wanted an item on the menu from The website and it wasn't available as the website wasn't updated. Minor issue, but the server seemed annoyed. Next time I keep the menus so that doesn't happen again. Still, totally worth the visit and since I live in the area now I would love to become a regular! Next time I want to try the flatbread

A wholesome venue…read more The Emilio Guglielmo Winery is a gorgeous venue. I came by for the anniversary Pasquale Esposito concert and had a great time. The staff did a great job at decorating the space and making this outdoor concert feel like an intimate experience. The table setup made the crowd feel like they're apart of a community. At sunset, this winery has stunning views of their vineyards. The concert was great. Pasquale is a resident guest of the winery and has a phenomenal voice. The food offered (chicken marsala, sausage and peppers, and balsamic vinegar dressed salad) was underwhelming. The selection was limited and food was cold. By the time I got to the food table, they had run out of the sausage dish. The wine selection was very good though. I particularly liked a few of the white wines offered during the event. The staff and servers were all friendly. It is apparent they all enjoy working here. The donation-pushing felt a bit tacky, however. During the entirety of my visit, I felt like I was being asked to donate (at the table, during dinner, before and after the performance). Of course their cause (providing music lessons to children) is incredibly important and has left a clear impact on the program's students, but it ended up taking away from my experience (especially considering the high cost of the concert tickets). Side note: the parking situation is challenging. There are very few handicapped parking stalls with a tiny lot. On concert nights, parking is located across the road at the neighboring high school. If you are visiting with anyone that has mobility issues, definitely come early to secure close parking. If you get the chance to see a Pasquale Esposito concert here, I would definitely go!

The valentines dinner was great. We found about the Valentine's Day dinner when we went wine…read moretasking at Guglielmo. I became a member and received an email about it so I decided to reserve our seats. We were able to select each entree and had the option to call back and edit it if we wanted to. Upon arrival, we were given a glass of champagne and walked over to our assigned table. Our seats were pre assigned and were sat with 3 other couples. A harp was playing the whole night. It was a delightful evening. Throughout the night, the wine kept coming. I never had an empty glass.

Ladera Grill was recommended to me by a friend so wifey and I gave it a shot…read more #1. Parking is a premium in this area so look for the parking garage nearly across the street from them. #2. The ambience is pretty nice, they have nice animal pictures throughout the restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating, a full walk up or sit down bar, and TV's. 3 stars. #3. The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I couldn't have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. And for dessert we had tiramisu. It came plated beautifully with a raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid flower. The flavor while not the best I've had was still pretty darn good 4 Stars. Overall food and dining experience at the restaurant easily hits 5 stars! Total bill for said food - tip $124 pricewise I felt it was well worth it. Oh I will be back!

Pizza, lemonade and dessert for kids priced at $12 drinks not included. We got our boys lemonade. Appetizer was Calamari which was fresh melted in your mouth. Husband had the old fashion while I had a cab sav from Paso to go with our food. I had the cioppino and my husband had the Atlantic salmon with risotto. My only comment was the crab in my cioppino was not fresh. I can tell that the crab was already cooked when added to the dish.... Yes I can tell. Overall food was great. I wouldn't order the cioppino again because of the crab. DJ was our waitress. Loved her. She made us feel like family. With a 3 and 7 year old she made us feel comfortable and interacted with our boys. Makes a difference when you have great waitresses!

We both opted for the red wine tasting and appreciated the variety. There were one or two I didn't like as much, but I loved being able to taste such different wines. We also decided to splurge and share the white wine tasting. I loved their Rose and one of their white wines. We ended up buying a bottle of the Red Syrah and White Fiano as gifts for friends. What really took this place up from 4 to 5 stars was house hospitable and kind the staff was! Dana in particular was so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, asking how we ended up in Morgan Hill and congratulating us on our recent job offers. She even brought out some complimentary champage because she was so happy for our recent life changes! I have lived in the south AND the midwest, two places known for hospitality, but have never had a better experience with hospitality than here at MHC. Can't wait to come back and try more wines while I am chilling in "MoHi" for a few more weeks!

We chose to do our tasting out on the garden patio. Once we got out there my first impression was of neglect and sadness. I hoped it wasn't going to be a reflection of the wines we'd be tasting. Unfortunately it was. All were bad, some worse than others. The "champagne" had no bubbles. We noticed this before we began our tasting. They all tasted like they came from bottles that had been opened weeks before being poured for our tasting. My fiancé asked if they had tasted the wines that morning to QC, and the tasting room hostess said she had. She either has no clue what the wine should taste like or she lied. Maybe both. We heard that this winery has been changing hands frequently and that in the past had produced good wine. I will keep my fingers crossed that who ever is the current owner will be able to turn this winery around. In the meantime I couldn't in good conscience recommend anyone making time to taste here.
