We were visiting the area for first time and wanted some great Mexican food. Ron (the new manager) greeted us at the door. He was welcoming and accommodating. There is a great outdoor space, service was outstanding! Ron came around several times to check on all the tables in the restaurant and made everyone laugh, even his staff. I love al pastor tacos, so when I saw an al pastor quesadilla I had to try it. Very cheesy and still had that great pork and pineapple taste. Brooke loved her steak chimichanga. Well a few years have passed since Andales opened and finally decided to try it again. I'm happy to say I am able to give it 5 stars this time! I ordered the Queso Fundido and the Quesabirria Tacos to go. My order was ready on time, packaged nicely, and still warm when I got home. The queso was super good! They do not shy away from the portion, and that includes the chorizo in it. The queso had such a good flavor and was nice and gooey versus watery. They gave enough chips for it as well. The tacos were fantastic and hardy. Me and my son were both impressed with the size of them! I dipped mine in the queso for added deliciousness lol. The tacos also came with a nice portion of rice and beans. I can happily say, the food today versus when it first opened is like night and day and I would gladly eat here again! read more

I was shocked to learn that there's an Andale out this way. So me and my friend hurried to stop after working up an appetite from shopping all day. Mistake number one was sitting at the bar. The bartender spent the majority of her time talking to her friends. It was a significant amount of time before she even took our order. For a second I thought it could be because it was Taco Tuesday but it was nearly empty! I'm hoping and believing that it wasn't intentional but it felt as such. When it was time to order the bartender was legit not able to answer any of the questions that we had. Everything came out separately. Let's start with the appetizer. I had to ask multiple times to get chips and salsa. When I finally got it I ate it quickly becsuse I was starving and asked for more which I never received! My friend ordered corn and it legit never even came until her entree came out. One person got they steak while the other two of us hadn't gotten our food. Well the next person got their meal and here I am still waiting for my food to come out. Which is a tad bit concerning because. When the bill came out there was a plethora of stuff on it that my friend did not have. Now as far as the food I throughly enjoyed vegan tacos. It was incredibly flsvorfu Misc We didn't get any silverware. The most disturbing thing was when the bartender bit off of a fork to try some food her friends offered her. I gave a one star because there is no option for no stars because it truly deserves that horrible, horrible horrible they sat us outside which that's where we wanted to sit however, the ground had all kinds of garbage all over it broken glass. They actually sat us at a table that had broken glass underneath then order some food to take home and they forgot the shells that go with the fajitas tried to call and there's no option to get anybody. The portions are nothing like they used to be. I paid $18 for two tacos that had absolutely nothing in them and for that were not worth it at all. Hostess/ server was sitting in the corner when we walked in. Not nice or friendly and didn't come over after making eye contact multiple times. If I'm going out to eat and spending a lot of money I expect GREAT service. Especially $30 per person. I did not want to end up ordering and waiting another hour. Will never be back. A very live and fun spot with a good and different menu than that of a traditional Mexican restaurant. ie, bone marrow tacos, which were pretty good. An extensively big margarita selection. All of the food at our table looked really good. *They also came around with free tequila shots, that ups the service! My biggest con is that it seems to be pretty expensive for what it is. $20 for 3 tacos or $25 for 4 tacos. $6 a taco is the highest I've seen in the area. And $13 for a queso dip seems a tad high compared to other places. Most dishes are at least $25. Margaritas $15 (which is probably on par with other places. But if you're fine with that price disregard this half of the review. The food is good, but I'm not sure it's worth $250 for a table of 4 (our party). Waited and waited for nearly 30 minutes only to find that Genius (forgot his name) could not find the remote. Either he is very incompetent or he did not want to turn on the game for us. We left ! Last night at 5pm the bartender a woman first initial A gave my nieces credit card to a guy who ran off and charged up $ 500 before she realized it and was able to cancel it. The bartender and manager Ean were not concerned and did confirm she gave the card to the guy. Ean the manager, confirmed as he looked at the video. They would not tell us what the guys name was on the card he had left. This could have been an inside job Went in today , no response from owner or the son who is Eon(sp). We filed a police report, drove all the way to John Audobon way. The lack of assistance or apology by manager/ owner is horrible. The fact that they carried on like this is no big deal is unbelievable. Do not go here , they don't care about you. read more

Very nice establishment, conveniently located at the intersection of Main and Transit in Amherst. Adequate parking. They bring water to your table in an empty tequila bottle, which is a nice touch for this Mexican food eatery. Besides a nice assortment of tequilas and Mezcal's, they do have a full bar staffed by a bartender who knows how to mix a drink. There are large screen high-def televisions strategically placed around this large space, with someone controlling the channels from an unseen location, and they change channels fairly frequently without explanation, at least on the one occasion that I was there. If there had been a Bills game on, and the channel was changed, it would've resulted in property damage for sure and possibly personal injury, but since it was a news program, nobody really cared that much. Multicolored tasty warm tortilla chips are brought to the table automatically with a salsa that by most standards would be considered quite good except that I hate cilantro, so for me it was dry chips. I probably could've asked for a salsa without cilantro, but I didn't think of it. The entire experience was made quite enjoyable because of an attentive waiter named Ian. He knew the menu and worked hard to keep the food coming. The menu itself is quite deep, and although seafood options are limited, everything else of a Mexican nature was covered nicely. I do need to come back to try more of their offerings, but everything that I ordered was cooked properly, nicely seasoned, and was presented attractively on the plate. read more

First time checking this place out. Had high hopes but was a little disappointing. Salsa and chips to start. Salsa was bland and chips were stale. Service was pretty slow but nice. Ordered a cheese dip for an app and was ok but over priced for what it was. Then for dinner a fajita. Really big serving. Almost worth the very large price, but the flavor was bland (asked for but never got hot sauce). 2 small tortillas provided don't come close to enough but I took most of the fajita home and I have my own tortillas. Whenever you go into the restaurant they start you with chips and great salsa and it's amazing !! Our server definitely needed more training... After about 5 minutes of being seated and looking at the menu our server finally came over with some glasses and chips and salsa then left again. She did not even take our drink orders. When she did come back for the drink orders, we asked what was on tap and she read the list off of the little thing, but it didn't say what type of drink it was just the brewers name, she didn't know what any of the drinks actually were. We asked what the "12 Gates" was, she said she thinks it's raspberry. Then we asked for an IPA, and she said the 12 gates was an IPA..... so Kyle ordered the 12 gates, and guess what... it was not an IPA. So Kyle walked to the bar to look at the taps... it was a lager. & I ordered a Paloma. She brought our drinks over and walked away again, still no ordering any food for us... Paloma 6/10 Tastes like sprite honestly. Not grapefruit at all. Chips & Salsa 9/10 The salsa was a very good mild salsa. I liked that the chips were multi colored as well. Tableside guac 7/10 I don't recommend from here.. Very plain avocado tasting. Needed some more salt, cilantro and lime to bring those flavors out. Tacos Chicken - 9/10 seasoned beautifully and cooked well. Very good. I added some of our guac and salsa to them as well. Chorizo - 9/10 Seasoned and cooked well. It's always prepared well and served timely. I also can recommend their salads. I've had them for lunch on a few occasions and it was also good. My wife and I were impressed with the tasteful Mexican type decor in the restaurant. The menu was vast and included some unique options at average prices. We went for lunch which was a little cheaper than the dinner menu. We were pleased with the service. The food came out at a reasonable time and the chips and homemade salsa were delicious while we waited. We were pleasantly surprised with how tasty and fresh the food tasted. I especially liked the yellow rice which had a nice buttery flavor. Overall, it was a great lunch. We recommend this place. Stopped in with a friend for a late dinner. It was still pretty busy at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night. The restaurant itself reminded me of a cafeteria. We were seated, and someone came over to take our drink order right away. The service was good throughout the meal. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a cambo platter because I can never decide what I want LOL. So I ordered from their small bites menu. You can really tell this restaurant is hitting its stride. The food was very good, well-prepared, and full of flavor, and everything felt a bit better than the last time I visited. A lot of that has to do with the manager, Marjorie I think it was, who does an excellent job running the place. She's attentive, professional, and clearly cares about both the staff and the guests, which makes the experience smoother and more enjoyable. We have wanted to go here for a few months and came for taco Tuesday, and that's what the birthday guy wanted! We arrived about 6:40 pm and were immediately seated and then given complimentary chips and salsa. Our server came over shortly and she was very nice and attentive. It wasn't overly busy which made us happy too. I asked for a side of guacamole dip which was $7 but very good. This was not the table-side guacamole that is also offered. When we ordered our margaritas, I casually mentioned to the waitress that it was my husband's birthday. The menu is very big and pinning down an item is hard! We finally made our choices of four tacos and Chicken Flautas which are fried chicken taquitos. It comes with an amazing avocado salad and Mexican rice. We both thought the food was good, but maybe a bit "American-ized" versus something more authentic. We did find it odd that it was almost a night-club music theme that was being played. When we were wrapping up, the waitress asked if we wanted dessert, but we were full. She went away and next thing I know, I saw a blazing sparkler headed our way! She brought over sopapillas, which is fried flour dough pieces with chocolate syrup over them and whipped cream. What a surprise! It was a delight and complimentary! You might as well call this a nightclub. Seriously... if you are looking for a place to have some good Mexican food and relax with some conversation with some friends or family, this isn't it. The food is great, don't get me wrong, it's delicious. But it was so loud in there that you can't hear the person next to you. We went on a Thursday night with my family (including a baby... BAD IDEA), and it was insane. There was a DJ, Kareoke, waitresses wearing half clothes, etc. I am not writing this to complain... Because prior to having kids, I would have loved the atmosphere. But I am hoping this will help someone decide to go elsewhere if you are looking to have a nice family dinner. Or, if you are looking for a place to party then you should keep this place in mind! Oh, and prepare to take out a loan for your meal. Everything is $25+, and a regular margarita is almost $20. Insanity!!! One scoop of ice cream ("fried ice cream") is $10. Horrible customer service!!! I placed an order online only to get home and realize that the shrimp ceviche needed more time to "cook" the shrimp. They were grey and obviously still raw. Called and while they agreed that ceviche should not have been served they were not willing to give me a refund or offer any compensation as I ordered off of a 3rd party site, which I only did because it came up on their website. All they would do is apologize and tell me to try to get reimbursed from the third party, a number which I called and did not get an answer or ability to leave a message. My husband returned to the restaurant with the raw food and only after threatening to call the department of health and notify everyone in the restaurant that raw seafood was being served without customer knowledge did they finally reimburse us the cost of the ceviche.
