Horrible experience with Chris Brough. I was treated like the client of a public defender even…read morethough I was a paying client. I spent a total of 1 hour with this man before resolution - a resolution I negotiated! I had a simple divorce, and I did all the negotiations myself. As a mater of fact, Chris first pass over the settlement agreement (one they got WRONG) had me paying out money and he said it was "a good deal." I told him to write up the agreement I gave him - one in which I RECEIVED money. I had to coax my own layer into a better deal. Is that how this is supposed to work? Keep in mind that prior to this I only saw him twice and both meetings were less than 30 minutes. So, all the preliminary work on my case was done and came out to $1,865.50. The initial filings, serving papers, etc. The remainder of the activity - that they claim comes out to $2,900? Really, for them to just write the settlement agreement I negotiated for MYSELF. I had to go back and forth 3 times because I kept finding errors (their mistakes not mine - I was playing editor). Then the man is late to court, and we are reduced to signing papers on the chairs in the court waiting room before going in. I received little to no communication on the process or usable advice. I got more advice from my ex-spouse's attorney than my own. Throughout this process I was flying in the dark. When I told them that I reached a settlement with the former spouse all he cared about doing was dragging this out for more billable hours. Chris wanted to stall, stall, stall so they could get more money - this was not in my best interest at all. Attorneys are supposed to represent their client's best interest - if that's what you are looking for stay away from this place. They see clients as cash cows and the audacity of his arrogance is something to behold.

In 2020 myself and my significant other went to King Law to have wills done. It was a very good…read moreexperience with lawyer Barbara Henry. Back then they charged a flat rate of $250 each. Unfortunately in 2025 we needed to delete 2 names under property and household goods. We were charged again a consolation fee, even though we were already a client, and a total of $900 to make those two changes. I feel that this was an over the top amount of money to do this, being that they already had the will in their system. I will NEVER go back to that practice because they are way over priced and really didn't do much as I can see. Also, our appt was at 1:00 pm, which we arrived right on time, but waited almost 10 minutes for the Lawyer to show up, I'm sure I will be charged for the signing as of 1:00pm instead of when she finally made it to the conference room. Dissatisfied is an understatement!!
