This is our first experience of buying a home in Canada, although our time coincided with actual crazy market time. In NS province, we are new and knew not much about the local places. For us, it was very important to find an agent who knows everything about the province. So, we found Andrew. A local family recommended us, Andrew Murray, as they worked with him and were satisfied with his work. Andrew recommended us to his colleague Simon, who met us during the first visit to the house. We were a bit sad about why Andrew decided to give us another specialist and he didn't come to work with us. We had no experience at all working with agents, and we did not know what to do. We viewed the first house with Simon. We are very pleased with Simon's work. He is a real professional in his field and very attentive to details. When we did not understand something, he explained to us everything several times and in as many details as it can be possible. Simon helped us to choose a house not only just for clients but more as for his good friends. We had lost many offers due to the current market. Simon every time was very active and responsive, doesn't matter if it is the day, night, or weekend. We remember in one day he had surgery and after it, he went to view a house for us. During these almost 5 months of working with Simon, he became a very close friend to us, an advisor, a guide, and even sometimes a psychologist. Sometimes we had disagreements about which house needs to be viewed or no. Here Simon shared with us his opinion which many times helped us to find the right way. Simon did everything professionally, he is not only an excellent realtor for us but also a good advisor and teacher. Since we are from another country and many things are completely different, thanks to Simon, we learned the whole system of building and buying houses in NS. He always gave us enough time so that we could understand everything and choose the right one. We trusted him 100% and we do not regret it. We also recommended him to another person from Montreal who is looking for something here in NS. Simon was present at all provided house inspections and he was present and involved in all stages of buying the house. The most important factor of Simon is that he has humanity, unfortunately in our time, this is a very rare quality that people have. Thanks a lot to people like Simon! We don't know anything about all other colleagues from Andrew's team, but we are convinced that Simon pretends to be and should be nominated in the company as the hard worker realtor of the year. We are happy that we found finally our house and on another side, we are sad as our communication with Simon is minimized. I worked with Angela Leaman and Andrew Murray of Leaman Murray KW Select Realty. They were excellent and I highly recommend them and their office. I sold my house through Angela and Andrew and was impressed from the moment I first met with them. They are professional, yet approachable, and I felt like I was their top priority at all stages of the sales process. Their communication was excellent; they got back to me very quickly and I never felt like I was bothering them. Angela did most of the negotiation on my sale and I was so impressed that I can't imagine using anyone else in the future. She is a force of nature! She is direct, straight-forward and always had my best interests in mind. She thought of many things to protect me during the sale and provided emotional support when things got difficult. Angela's assistant, Melissa, is fantastic and helped me with numerous things throughout the process. Andrew was away for a portion of my sale, but any dealings I had with him were great. He has a great sense of humour, speedy communication and strong suggestions. Angela and Andrew recommended about four different trades people, from plumbers to roofers, and all the recommendations were spot on. Angela, Melissa and a professional stager helped me with staging my property and I was really pleased with the outcome. The professional photographer they use is also top notch. My first offer fell through, but Angela worked hard to bring in another offer, and also provided lots of information and research when I had questions. I am currently working with Angela and Blake, also in the Leaman Murray office, on buying a property. Blake is very helpful and I can rest easily knowing that Angela will be in my corner to negotiate the best deal possible. We had Simon Hintze as our realtor, we would highly recommend going with him and/or this company, they are great! They point out things about some homes that I doubt even a lot experienced realtors with other company's notice! They are not afraid to say when a home is not worth your money, and I give great thanks for that. Our price point was rather low, so borked homes fixed up with floors that'll cave if u move the fridge are rather common in the process! They have a considerable knowledge base involving homes, and when they say something is a certain way, they know what there talking about! As to the home we bought, a nice little 2 story home up in Pictou County! After over at least 40 different viewings, we finally found it! We technically went with Simon twice, the first time however didn't yield anything due to having to back out due to financial issues. Each time however, Simon was sincere, caring, and did everything in his power to help us! On top of having a massive knowledge base, they also have plenty of supports, whether it be inspectors, contractors, lawyers, you name it! They know a guy! Either way, I'm not being payed or incentivized to leave this review, I'm just really happy to finally have the home me and my partner we're looking for!
