Not sure he did a full exam but he did give me some good advice that changed the course of a very painful injury. And he is just and employee of OM and not a boss as one person said. Just because he has the MD doesn't make him in charge but who knows maybe now he does have a new admin position in this form of health care delivery?

She is a wonderful Dr. She's very friendly, knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manners. Dermatologist is located on the 2nd floor. It's a big department with many dermatologists. Beware of surprise "double billing" fees…read more I scheduled a routine annual physical--which should be 100% covered by preventive care--but walked out with a surprise $500+ bill. Because the doctor asked about my basic medical history (a chronic condition), One Medical sneakily tacked on an extra "sick visit" office code (99203) without my knowledge or consent. When I disputed this predatory split-billing practice, customer service hid behind standard corporate policy. Infuriating bait-and-switch. I canceled my membership and will not be back. Note that I also avoided doing vitamin D and such tests to avoid large bills in the first place.. Was expecting to pay nothing for this health checkup EDIT --- UPDATE (June 2026): Do not be fooled by One Medical's generic public response below pretending they want to "work towards a resolution." I followed their instructions, called their escalated billing line directly, and was actively stonewalled. They completely missed their promised 24-hour supervisor callback window. When I called them back to hold them accountable, front-line staff refused to connect me to a manager, flatly denied a billing hold, and told me I was "holding them hostage on the phone" just for asking to speak to leadership. Their public replies are a complete PR facade. Behind the scenes, they continue to enforce undisclosed split-billing traps for 10-minute telehealth wellness calls. I have canceled my membership and planning to formally escalate this deceptive pricing pattern to the California Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division and Amazon Corporate Executive Leadership. Potential patients beware: the billing department is an automated brick wall.

Sutter Health, if you're reading this, you've got a real problem. People expect battles with insurance companies. What's worse is when your own provider, the people who are supposed to protect your well-being, treats you like you're the problem.
