From 1909 Henri Androuet has been on a quest to acquire the finest supply of French cheeses from all regions of France. His mission proves abundantly successful when you see & taste the many exquisite varieties of fresh French cheeses available. You will also find some very nice cheeses from Italy, Spain, England & a few other places, but they sell mostly French cheeses. Some are so rare you will only be able to find them here. There is a large selection of goat, sheep, Roquefort, blues & Brie. Something for every cheese connoisseur. The Saint Nicholas de la Dalmerie is very good & very rare, a must have. The Lingot de la Ginestarie is very nice served with a fresh baguette & champagne grapes. Add some wine & your all set for your picnic in the Trocadero gardens. Roves de garrigues from Provence is my favorite, this cheese is perfumed & taste of the same mountain herbs the goats themselves, from which the cheese is made, graze upon. You really can't go wrong with any of the goat or Brie. However, if your not a cheese enthusiast stick to the harder cheeses as some of the soft cheeses are very pungent even for this extreme cheese lover. If you are in Paris & LOVE cheese it would be a sin not to visit this exquisite little shop. Vive le fromage français ! :)'

The ultimate french cheese shop, the historic Androuet fromagerie has been sourcing and maturing exceptional cheeses since 1909. Although now owned by big money, the shop is still very, very good. The service is very knowledgeable, and you'll find some special cheeses here that you won't find elsewhere.

I love this cheese store and his cheese master. Great Brie. All farm cheeses are well matured. This is France.

I purchased some delicious saucisson & asked nicely to have it sliced since I would not be able to cut it in the hotel room. I was very grateful for that, & later purchased a baguette to take everything back to the hotel. Stopped my the grocery store & also bought some white wine. So far, I'm enjoying this visit in France & definitely will need to visit again. A lot to see and not enough time!!

One must fly to Paris occasionally to secure all the French goods, like cheese, Chanel, macaroons,…read morebeauty products and more and I right? I'd bookmarked Barthélémy when looking for new places to enjoy for a recent solo visit of mine then coincidentally my bff recommended them to me a few days later mentioning Ina Garten loves this cheese store, so I knew it was a must. When you walk through the door you will feel what it feels and smells like to have entered cheese heaven! You will say Holy Cow!!! pun intended but it's not all cow, it's goat, and sheep and everything your little cheese loving heart could desire. This is the most gorgeous cheese store. I have my favorites here in the states... Murray's, Cowgirl Creamery, Rogue Creamery and many others but I was ready to dive right in to the delish French options here. I was greeted immediately and provided with superb service. I had no one particular thing in mind I simply wanted to purchase a whole bunch of everything. We spent a good amount of time going over many of the cheeses and I selected several to vacuum seal to bring home in addition to a couple to enjoy during my stay in France. If you are a cheese lover, you must visit Barthélémy.

They offered several samples for us to try prior to making our purchases, which we appreciated a ton.
