Andrum is a centrally-located, 100% vegetarian restaurant in downtown Gothenburg. It's small but houses an equally as intimate and quiet atmosphere, if you come at the proper time. Come during the lunch rush, however, and it will likely be packed. Diners can choose from various entries or eat from the buffet, which (as I've been told) is relatively the same from day-to-day. What the actual foods are is a bit unclear if you don't speak Swedish, but nothing I had was bad. And everything in the restaurant is clearly labeled as to whether or not it's vegan, which is a huge plus. The pricing is acceptable (79 SEK, or $12, for the buffet) for Swedish standards. Chef/worker was able to walk me through and told me verbally and pointed out visually which dishes were vegan. It was very embarrassing that when I went to pay one of my cards was not accepted and the chef/worker let me go back to my hotel with different payment (I was walking around very light). That was extremely nice and I don't think back home I would be given the same courtesy. Upon my return she had made fresh vegan creme for a raspberry chocolate cake I was in the middle of paying for when I found out my first card wasn't accepted. After eating out for days, we were seriously lacking vegetable while traveling. Thus I decided to go to this place for vegetable consumption. The flavoring is somewhat I am unfamiliar, though I have eaten plenty time Indian Pakistani food prior. Had my first meal in Gothenburg here. It's another vegetarian smorgasbord, so you can eat to your heart's content for only a few Swedish kroner. Some of the dishes weren't that great, to be quite honest, but for the quality and variety here, you'd be hard pressed to find a better bang for your money elsewhere in this city. Price is very reasonable and food is filling! It's buffet only and serve yourself. Food was decent but nothing spectacular and maybe a little disappointing. The cauliflower and beet salads were not that impressive. Pasta salad was a bit stale. There was a potato casserole with too many onions and Unsatisfying spices. Nice little place with friendly, but not too overly cheerful staff. I only came for fika, so I'll have to come back for lunch one day. I really like that there are a lot of vegan options and they are clearly labeled. I tried the blueberry pie and a chair latte. There was a mix up and I get a latte with real milk by accident and they remade it for me with no problem. Such a nice staff. I took away one star because it got really crowded and there was only one person to ring people up and make my latte even though there were like 4 other people in the back. Just a nice Vegetarian restaurant they always have at least two vegan options on their buffet (just ask the staff) If your not into to buffets I recommend you to try "Andrums Vegan burger" it's more like a sandwich than a burger great if your not super hungry! read more

The food here is awesome. The buffet costs $10 per person and it's so worth it. I would recommend it anyone.
