Five star all the way…read more Aside from the corny name it's a delightful 1950's American themed place. We hadn't intended going here. It's just of Main Street, through an archway, into a courtyard with other restaurants. We had to eat but we had no plan and as you'll know if ya haven't a plan ya can't fail. As we walked along the street just up from the crooked house we were approached by a young chap waving a menu and offering a Monday night special of a pizza at about £4. I was more concerned that they had some of the glorious stout I was discovering in different places. Good porter has been a revelation for me in this first ever visit to Poland. He said they had one type and it was potent. around 8 proof. This was the clincher as neither of us are big pizza fans. So he escorted us into the restaurant and got us seated. The young lady serving was very attentive to us the whole time and spoke great English. We could choose from six different pizzas at this price. We ordered one each, I like fish so I had tuna, olives, my wife opted for ham & pineapple. I had a fantastic stout and my wife had a lager. The pizzas really were darn tasty, fresh, hot and served on hot plates that felt they weighed two kilos apiece. Actually on reflection we should have ordered only one between two as neither of us could manage a half each. We are that generation who hate wasting food. We began ordering sitting at an outside table. It was warm, dark and all rather pleasant but a rain shower just as our pizzas were delivered made us go inside. It was pretty big inside, really bright, clean and mostly white and red. As I said the walls were adorned with 1950's America memorabilia - sadly an era gone never to be seen again.

Nondescript sandwiches that seem to say "This ain't Paris, hun." Nope. It's a freaking convenience store and even convenience has its limits.

Great selection of local or regional, and world beer, but always brewed by independent producers (no big companies here: don't even try to get anything made by Heineken or SAB Miller). Good coffee. And peculiar and somehow inspiring selection on non-alcoholic drinks. The hipster hub of the city ;) and the foreign (Scandinavian) students.

A nice beer menu with tasty beers tops it off. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth the money! The bar personnel is fluent in English and are more than happy to help you choose your beer. Cheers!
