Issue this time was inadequate blending of the concretes, all added ingredients were blended on top 1/3 of finished product, bottle 2/3 of each cup was just plain custard. We had to use spoons to complete mixing of both concretes. Plenty of workers inside, having a great time as a group, not paying attention to the finished product. Perhaps a training issue!? Great Custard - I believe it's one of my favorite chains. While it really good, their prices show they are also proud of their product. I think you are close to $8 for a large shake/malt and $9 for a large concrete. Staff is normally efficient. I would not say they are friendly though - not unfriendly just not overly welcoming. This is not frozen custard. Traditional frozen custard comes out of the machine in a tube and usually it's at room temperature. This may be a "frozen custard mix " that is put in a soft serve machine and dispensed. Way too sweet and not traditional basically you're paying for soft serve. Which is not traditional frozen custard. The product itself is fine, but you shouldn't call it frozen custard, if you want soft serve your price and your quality are fine, but I must again state that this is not traditional, frozen custard. read more

Got the BootDaddy frozen custard. It's a big portion, great treat post-workout! Andy's is a drive-thru so there is no seating inside but they have them outside. The menu is very big and I love that! Always a great option for some frozen custard. Unique creation options and seasonal flavors to choose from each day. They are open late so that's very convenient. One thing I will say constructively though is: their system could be more efficient. They have plenty of staff working but having someone run up to take an order then run back and do something behind the counter which creates a real inefficient system. I've been here a few times on my work trip so far and noticed the nights it was really backed up, the staff seemed more hectic and flustered trying to find someone to keep covering the order window. read more

I've been salivating ever since Andy's advertisement about a new flavor creation called "cannoli"! I can't help it!!!! It's in my Italiana blood ! Who would've thought that this ice cream at Andy's called a Cannoli Concrete would be like eating cannoli's from a cup with a spoon? I could taste just the right amount of everything from pistachios to the cannoli shell, two mini chocolate chips, and that delicious mascarpone cheese blended custard. Andy's has just about every fruit & flavorings,, marshmallows, nuts- really anything you could possibly want to be served with their delicious chocolate or vanilla custard. If I wasn't so fat, I go every day!! As it is, I hadn't been in a couple months and kept waiting for just the right time to go and check out this fantastic flavor for myself!!! (By the way it is wholeheartedly tested and approved by Bo, my four legged 10 month old child) I like the fact that the same young woman that I had the last time I was, there was still there and waited on me. I'm always impressed when employers can hang onto their employees, especially in the food service industry. I happened to use the drive-through because I had my dog with me and the service was excellent . They don't keep a tip jar visible and don't ever ask but I always do my best to tip generously.. Almost the entire facility is made of window glass so you can see everything that's going on inside. It's always been very clean. First time trying Andy's at the recommendation of my friends! We went through the drive-thru and got there just "on time" around 8pm on Saturday to avoid the huge line that started wrapping around the store when we left. I got the Bootdaddy concrete, and while it was super tasty, I didn't care for the cookie pieces inside. They were a bit too crispy and hollow for my personal tastes. (I like the cookie pieces to be denser if it's mixed in with custard.) The custard itself was also great but not the best I've ever tried. It was thick and flavorful, but didn't have as thick consistency of a consistency as I would have liked it to have--the concrete melted really quickly in the air conditioned car. I'd probably be back if I was in the mood for ice cream, but not if I was in the mood for custard. read more

COVID rules kind don't apply when it's drive through anyway. We were going to drive out to the airport in a few hours and at the last minute my buddy spied an Andy's and called an audible. Now, I'm from the midwest where we have our own frozen custard spots and I was kind of skeptical. I've had other custards from the region and found them to be ok. Andy's though was good, I went with one of their Blackberry concretes-you know, to be healthy. A quick turn of the corner and a short wait and their medium was rolled out-not everything is bigger in Texas but this definitely lived up to it. In the unlikely event you've never tried frozen custard, it is much richer and creamier that soft serve ice cream due to the amount of yoke and heavy cream. Went to drive thru, placing order is easy, as a person takes order, there were 4-5 cars in front of us, but line moves really fast. Service was good, concrete was already little melted when we got and in just couple of minutes it totally melted(felt so fast, and I dint like that). I came here after receiving a free treat due to a less pleasant experience at one of their other locations. I ordered the exact same thing to see if the quality of their custard would be the same as the other location and I was pleasantly surprised at how much better it was! I asked for extra butterscotch to make sure there was actually some in my concrete this time, but it was an extra dollar or so, so I just asked them to make it regular. This place is so cute; it has the esthetics of a local ice cream stand with the convenience of a drive thru. I was pretty overwhelmed with the choices of malts and concretes I could get, but I did notice they had quite a few holiday treats like eggnog and Santa shakes. I got a medium size Apple Pie Concrete (~$7.50). One spoonful in, I could already taste how creamy, rich, and authentic their ingredients were. With this custard, I got an actual custard taste, and not vanilla soft serve. The apple pieces in the custard were cooked perfectly - they still had a bite to them and were slightly tart. The pie crumbles were plentiful, but I did wish there was slightly more apple in the custard. HOLYYYY SMOKES! You know the second you roll up to Andy's that it's going to be something memorable. There is usually a line for the drive through, but it is well worth it. It certainly takes me back to some of the Frozen Custard places we'd hangout at in high school. It's nostalgic to say the least. They have an assortment of different options, but by far my favorites are the concretes and jackhammers. Concretes are typically blended custard and jackhammers are filled with a center of your choosing. My goto is always the bootdaddy concrete... it's vanilla frozen custard blended with Oreo cookies, Carmel and Hot Fudge. Ooooo boy, it is delicious. I've also had their Root Beer float and that was equally as scrumptious. I believe their sodas are made in house - they are absolutely delicious. The frozen custard is very rich, so it might be tempting to get the largest size (been there done that) but usually even a small is plenty for me. Keeps well and can be eaten as a leftover too. I can tell you that I was enjoying every mouth watering deliciousness that I knew my doctor would yell at me for having. Love dem belly busters. My go to is the triple chocolate concrete. A small serving will satisfy most. If you are a 4:20 PM aficionado then any medium serving will set you straight. We always do the drive through and the young folks working here have obviously been trained well as they are very polite and never seem to make a mistake. I do like that when they are busy they have a person taking orders in the drive through using a tablet to expedite my calorie intake.
