I've never been compelled to write a review this negative, but Andy's Irrigation earned it. What started as a simple repair turned into a three-week circus of incompetence, miscommunication, and outright disrespect. My irrigation system was leaking, and since I'd used them before, I gave them another chance. Big mistake. It took them a full week just to send someone out for a consultation. Then another two weeks to schedule the actual appointment. When the supervisor finally showed up, he claimed the original quote was wrong--despite the fact that turf was discussed and photos were taken during the consultation. He didn't have the right materials, and worse, he tried to upcharge me for their own mistake. After wasting three weeks of my time, he shrugged it off and left. No resolution. No accountability. Later that day, Rebecca called me with a casual "I guess we need to reschedule." No apology. No urgency. When I expressed how unacceptable their service had been, she didn't even respond--she hung up on me. Yes, hung up. This company has clearly outgrown its ability to care about customers. They're disorganized, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. If you value your time, money, or basic respect, do yourself a favor and RUN from Andy's Irrigation. read more

We had been using this company for our drip irrigation system for many years, and had been very pleased with the service and felt we were charged fairly. Recently, when one of our Hunter jar top valves would not shut off, the technician came out, diagnosed that it was "probably" a bad solenoid, but didn't have the part. He came back several days later and replaced the top only on that valve, which solved the problem. That took maybe five minutes at most. We were charged $108 for the valve, though only the top was used, plus $170 for labor. The Hunter jar top valves retail for about $18. I feel that marking them up to $108 when you're not even replacing the entire valve, but only using the top part is pretty unreasonable. And the labor? Five minutes cost $170 - what is that, like over $2K per hour? Seriously? This is not the same company that we used to deal with, and sadly, we will not be using them again. read more

I'm so sad to write this because I had SUCH amazing experiences with this company in 2017-2018. I don't know if the company was sold, or if they had management changes. They certainly have new folks in the office and new field technicians because I never get my usual people that did such a terrific job in the past. Long story short. They just aren't doing the same amazing job as before. I called for a quarterly maintenance check and the technician spent MAYBE 5 minutes at my house (I KNOW it takes longer than that because I used to watch the previous guy do this). He seemed in a rush and not very thrilled to be at my house. The reason I needed the quarterly maintenance was that my plants were not looking healthy and watered. He basically fixed a sprinkler head (not related at all to the plants) and said I'm good to go. I'm sadly going to move on from using this company. They have done SUCH an amazing job in the past but I'm super unhappy with their work as of late. read more

In those 10 years, my system ran smoothly with minor incidents of only cracked irrigation tubing that I was able to repair myself.... standard in sunny AZ. Good diagnosing but bad (costly) execution. Mitch reinstalled two of 3 irrigation boxes carelessly so the boxes aren't centered over the valves. As a result, any future servicing will require digging the box back out to be able to reach the valve screws (waste of time and my money; they have a high hourly rate). Mitch even noticed and said that he did this wrong but did not offer to fix the problem! I later had a different person from Andy's Irrigation come out to diagnose a leak; instead of replacing the line that was leaking he put in a patch (still charged the very high rate); when a place within a foot of the patch leaked a day later, I replaced the entire length myself. They sure know how to keep themselves in business but nothing value-added for the customer. read more

I've used Andy's Irrigation for several years. Robert does thorough investigation and repairs. He found a busted valve regulating my drip system that unbeknownst to me was leaking quite a bit of water into the valve box. Explained everything and replaced. Found and addressed some root incursions that could have become bigger problems. Did some tweaks to increase pressure to the pipettes. If you use them regularly for msintenance, it seems they schedule very quickly for emergency repais, gushers, obvious leaks, etc. Reasonably priced, and friendly. read more

Due to recurring leaks, we needed our 11-year-old drip system redone. Alan as Estimator inspired our confidence July 14 in his knowledge of irrigation systems and expert evaluation of our needs. His estimate came in $1300 (32%) less than another company! Alan returned Sept. 2 to assess additional work we desired and added just $200 to complete the full job. Chris & Antonio came out Oct. 1 & 2. They both could not have been finer in their manners and in the pride they took in their work! Antonio is a craftsman with a rake; pulling back our existing gravel with minimal mixture in of dirt. Chris used a jackhammer to dig trenches for our new irrigation lines due to ground's exceptional hardness after months of scant rain. We requested a drainage trench be added to our yard on the south side where rain puddled. Chris & Antonio volunteered at no extra cost to pack the dirt removed from this trench and pack it into the existing landscape mound in the back yard. Chris even wrapped the new water pipes with thermo tape. End result: Andy's Irrigation did more work than the other company agreed to do, paid great attention to detail to insure we were well taken care of and pleased, and completed this job at an extremely fair price. Andy's Irrigation bid on a job for our HOA. We are not satisfied with either the timelines or quality of their work. After more than a week on what should have been a one day job, they are still not finished. They had to come back three times too re-glue leaking joints in the pipes they installed incorrectly. Perhaps worse, their bid included cutting one piece of concrete sidewalk. They first came without inadequate equipment and 8 days later they still have not finished cutting the concrete saying they have to get the right equipment and promising it will be done at the end of the week. I will echo what the first reviewer said, these guys are great. Whatever my irrigation system was watering, it wasn't my plants - it was perforated and clogged and the tubing was rotted. Andy and his team did a beautiful job replacing the valves, piping and tubing, reprogrammed everything, left the yard looking better then they found it. Reused the pieces that I had that were good. The crew was hard-working, friendly, and very careful. Since then they have been responsive when we had a few follow-up questions. Can't recommend these guys enough, they did an outstanding job, were a pleasure to deal with, provided a great value and have been responsive with follow ups.
