    Dark Chocolate Honeycomb
    Kristina M.

I LOVE dark chocolate and was excited to try these when we stumbled upon the retailer. It was very pricey. For two small honeycomb and two small pieces of almond bark , I paid $15. The chocolate was not flavorful, the honeycomb stale, and the almond bark uninspired. This was a very disappointing and expensive chocolate experience.

I didn't try the chocolate but I had a small affogato. It was a single shot of espresso with a tiny portion of vanilla which was just perfect for me. Service is kind of slow but that's expected when it's busy. The employees were friendly.

6 piece mix in a box including Dark Caramel, Cappuccino and Belmont.

I am reviewing the location in Oxbow Public Market. My wife and I just spent a weekend in Napa and while at Oxbow we stopped by for some chocolates. We decided to do a six piece box. We both tried the cappuccino and dark caramels. The cappuccino had nice chocolate flavor and good coffee flavor but not overwhelming. The Dark Caramels were my favorite of the three I tried this visit. Dark chocolate gave a nice bitter note to the caramel. The reason I am giving 4/5 stars is once in a while you will find a flavor that doesn't match up to the rest. The Belmont sounded like it would be my favorite. Described as "vanilla cream rolled in roasted almonds and chocolate". The outside was great! The inside disappointed me. It was one note. Overall we will definitely come back when in the area. More often then not you get a great chocolate.

It's chocolate. There's not much not to like! They have plenty of options, their display cases are organized and well stocked. They have chocolate wine bottles and other goodies as well. The customer service was great. The lady was patient with our indecisiveness in picking our chocolates. We tried a number of pieces. But specifically I liked the glazed almond crunch, which tasted almost like nestle crunch but with flakes of almond, and the peanut crunch, which was pretty much chocolate covered peanut brittle. It was delicious. Yelp check in also got us a free truffle, so we opted for the cappuccino truffle, and is was so yummy, just the right balance of coffee flavor and sweetness with that perfect chocolate shell. Anette's Chocolates is a great candy/dessert option to have at Oxbow Public Market in Napa.

Super cute chocolate place. I love their truffles and all the interesting items that include chocolate and either wine or liquor. They have ice cream in the back too that was really popular. We stopped in twice! I loved their chocolate covered marshmallows.

My friend Parcia and I stumbled across this place while we were on a weekend adventure to napa Valley. There was a yelp check in offer for a free truffle. They had the most friendly service and they actually had a giant selection of choclate to choose from. I got my free truffle and a few other chocolates to snack on. I took a bite and the choclates were packed with flavor and just made me supe happy. This is just the best place and im so happy to have found it. This will deffinatly be my napa Valley stop for whenever I'm in the hour. So happy to have found this place. Its so amazing.

Came during the truffle festival. Tried the truffle hazelnut. Very yummy! I didn't think it would come in such a cute packaging as well!

It looked absolutely delicious so we wandered down to the chocolate shop, not realizing that it's a full chocolate shop with wonderful dipped selections and began our journey there. Many of the chocolates that are served there can be easily paired with your wine tasting because certain chocolates and certain wines go wonderfully together. Dania was so nice and information friendly. She let me have samples which I was totally happy with, and I was definitely able to purchase more items because of this. You look through the windows of the cases you just want to eat eat eat. The shop definitely lives up to its name--vintage, small, and cozy. They have a variety of sweets, especially chocolates, on display. They also have other specialty items and pairings. Service is quick and nice. My family did all the ordering since I was with my pup. I got a Mango Tangerine Sorbet, which was refreshing and tangy. They use Double Rainbow Ice Cream. My family got their desserts and enjoyed them. I recommend coming for their chocolates, and I'd be interested in their pairing. This weekend, my cousin brought my aunt, who loves chocolate, into the shop. They stood by the display and attempted to ask questions about the chocolates. The employee repeatedly responded from behind the register that she "couldn't hear them" and refused to walk over to assist. Feeling unwelcome, they decided to leave. When they told me what had happened, I went over to the counter to understand what was going on. There were no customers waiting, and I calmly explained that my family simply wanted help purchasing chocolate. I asked if she would be willing to apologize and rectify the situation so my aunt and cousin could continue shopping. Instead, she repeatedly said she didn't want "anything hostile" and wasn't looking for "problems," even though the conversation remained calm and respectful. When I asked to speak with the manager or owner, she picked up the phone and offered for me to speak with someone. When I asked if it was the manager or owner, she said she was calling security. I was stunned. At no point was anyone aggressive or disrespectful. We simply wanted service. She then pointed to the Pride pins on her apron and shared that she had been bullied by others because of them. I made it clear that no one in my family was bullying her and that we only wanted assistance buying chocolate. I've spent many weekends in Napa and love Oxbow Public Market. This interaction was completely out of character with the hospitality I've come to expect there. Calling security on customers who are politely asking for service and requesting to speak with a manager was unwarranted and deeply disappointing. I sincerely hope ownership addresses this, because no customer should leave feeling unwelcome when they simply came in to buy chocolate.

My absolute favorite is the Dang Dazy milk chocolate--its velvety texture paired with crunchy almond and hazelnut bits creates the perfect balance. The Earl Grey dark chocolate was also incredibly good. While the richness of the dark chocolate leans slightly dominant, you can still catch those subtle, fragrant notes of Earl Grey in each bite. At around $3 per bonbon, it's definitely on the pricier side--but considering the quality, creativity, and variety of flavors, I think it's completely justified. It's especially heartbreaking to share that this is widely considered one of the best artisan chocolate shops in California, and they're now closing their only store in Yountville due to slow business and rising costs. Losing a place like this feels like losing a true gem. If you're anywhere near Yountville, make the trip and show them some love while you still can.

Earth & Sky Chocolates is actually in one of the converted train cars. They don't have a hanging sign, just one posted on the nearby pillar, so it's not immediately obvious which car they're in. If you're coming from the "front" of the station (where the depot is), it'll be the last car on the left. This is actually their second location, with their main shop in downtown Napa. They also have a website where you can purchase VEGAN and non-vegan boxes or even subscribe to a monthly box. Calistoga Depot is a recently opened market(?) along their main street (Lincoln Ave) repurposing the second-oldest train depot and train station in California. All the train cars had their interiors redone and are so worth the visit, every one of them seems to have a unique aesthetic. Be aware that each car is an individual shop. We had thought that everything was closed because of the tinted windows, not-quite-open businesses in some cars, and very few people at the time. But Earth & Sky Chocolates WAS open, and we got some great treats from there. Bonbons, brittles, little caramels, and (most importantly) HANDMADE MARSHMALLOWS! My friends and I each tried a passionfruit mango caramel and were shocked at how much it REALLY tasted like passionfruit, which made the caramel very light. Main thing for me is that this was all very pricey. Definitely more of a special occasion kind of thing. But with the local Calistoga Depot Distillery next door and the wineries down the street, they're also a convenient stop if you're looking to do wine-chocolate tastings.
