But, I wanted to give the place another chance. Yesterday I called, and was told that my groomer was not in, that I will have to call the next day or the groomer will reach out. I then asked what would happen if that groomer was booked at the time I need my dogs to be serviced, and was told not to worry I could get with someone else and we would get it figured out. So, today comes around and I get a call from my groomer, Mandy I believe. She asked me when I was needing services, I told her and she immediately said she was booked. Okay that's fine, well I will just get with another person then. Her response was "alright thanks for calling." Which left me dumbfounded. She definitely was just trying to get me off the phone. I then said, well I mean at this same location I will book with someone else, and again she said, oh everyone's booked. Very rude and unprofessional dialogue. I got frustrated with her customer service.. and explained I was told otherwise and before I hung up she started to apologize. She then calls my phone again and leaves me a voicemail saying she wasn't trying to be rude, but because of the way I, the customer, handled her , that I was not allowed back to their place of business. I called back and asked to speak with a manager, and she claims to be so, yet doesn't know who told me the information the day prior. If you want to avoid unprofessional customer service as well as groomers mistreating your pets, please go elsewhere. I have the voicemail and am happy to post it anywhere it gets justice.

Pretty Eyes, (my service dog) and I have been to several Pet Supply stores and my preference thus far is Wheat Ridge, off of Wadsworth. Immediately we are greeted with smiles and how can we help. BATH PLEASE for my dog, to be clear. They hand us a bucket, ask if we prefer 3 towels, OH YES! Fortunately we have our own brushes, for all too many other patrons have taken off with what was offered for years. No Problem and off we go. Pretty Eyes is READY to get CLEANED with special shampoos and conditioners. The on duty gentleman scurried towards the back to clean the plethora of previous customers, while stating, they have been inundated with Doggy Washes this day. NO Problem for a few moment wait. I unleash my Service dog and open the gate, she is off to her favorite side, jumps in and waits. I must mention, the water hose is "Very Durable" a bit stiff in operating, although they are generous in offering aprons, expect to get a bit wet and be prepare in managing the volume first before starting the wash including your choices of shampoo/conditioners. Yet, the choices are wonderful, from Oatmeal shampoo to shampoo/conditioner in same bottle and more! Ready to towel off! They do have a LONG hose for drying, it is a pitched sound, your dog may or may not care for, HAVE YOUR TOWELS READY! This is a fun time, and NO RUSH. Their set up "A Bucket" for all the fur no longer needed, a place to toss your wet towels and leave your bucket or return the bucket to the front desk. GREAT SERVICE. There is also an extra pricing if you choose; either $14.00 per visit or if one pays up front $40.00/each bath will cost $8.00 Have fun!

My dog and I are so happy to hear that Deeana has taken ownership and that the Barking Lot will be reopening. I cannot imagine the sadness an owner may be experiencing when dealing with the loss of their furry family member, nonetheless, they should take a second to think about who was at fault. Any facility defects should not fall upon the new owner. The facility was not maintained by, nor was it the responsibility of Deeana when she was not the owner. Since becoming the owner I know she had mentioned doing several updates to the place, which I am sure address any and all potential problem areas. To fault her for things outside of her control is both ignorant and slander. The business has yet to even operate under her ownership and I think she deserves to be given a chance to actually run her business before people judge her prematurely.

During the conversation, the manager stated that I was "begging for a job," which I found to be unprofessional and discouraging. Comments like this create the impression of a hostile or toxic work environment and are not appropriate when someone is simply seeking employment. Additionally, I was concerned to observe that an apprentice groomer appears to be grooming dogs without proper licensing or supervision. If that is the case, it raises serious questions regarding safety, compliance, and professional standards. I plan to review the relevant regulations regarding grooming practices. If necessary, I will consider reporting the situation to the appropriate authorities, including the ASPCA. My hope is simply that all animals are being cared for safely and that the workplace maintains a professional standard for both employees and clients.
