Angel View is right off Highway29 in YuccaValley--a nonprofit thrift store supporting children and adults with disabilities. The store is packed with a wide array of household items, clothing, jewelry, and loads of unique frames. Prices lean thrift-store fair--closer to mid-range than super-cheap--but that's reasonable knowing the proceeds support a good cause. Staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful, especially during donation drop off. Had a lovely visit at Angel view this week. What a store! They really have it all--clothes, electronics, interesting items and a robust art section--was interested in quite a few pieces. There was a great print of two zebras in the wild which was fantastic. Also, almost picked up a coffee mug that said "owl always love you" and had a picture of an owl. A lot of cute stuff. The radio was playing the local rock station, which was pretty cool to hear 90s classics from Tool (Sober) the Red Hot chili peppers (Zephyr) and Fuel (In My Hands Again). The customer service was on point--when I tried to buy a coaster, and I didn't understand where to insert my card into the reader, the cashier was very helpful by pointing out exactly where to insert the card. Overall, a pretty cool location, and I was surprised how much it was going off on a Tuesday afternoon--lots of locals perusing the various hidden treasures to be found at this intriguing angel view location. read more

I love Angel View. I always find things to buy. I love the clothing and the candle holders and really everything in this shop.

I have found some wonderful bargains here over the years. Sometimes there are dry spells, just keep checking. Now sometimes things are overpriced for merchandise they got for free, but if that's the case I just won't buy it. Prices in general are better than Palm Springs. I miss the days of real thrift stores and not amateur antiques roadshow appraisers. Over all this place has a friendly staff and some good items. It's worth a visit if you're in town. read more

If anyone knows anything about me is that I love a good treasure hunt in a thrift store. I was visiting my friend in Yucca Valley. And my mom loved this thrift store. We used to spin hours and it looking for treasures. My mom is no longer with me so anytime I'm up in that area I have to stop there because it's something that I did with my mom and I have to honor that tradition. So, I'm checking out everything...The prices have gone up a little bit. The prices rival thrift stores down the hill which is kind of interesting to me...at the end of the day, I did my whole run around. I found a pair of jeans I liked a candle holder and a necklace. I love the candle holder I had a piece of Himalayan sea salt that I attached to it. Not everybody likes a good thrift store hunt it's something I grew up doing and it's in my blood. It's in my core. My very being. Because my mom is no longer with me I feel that it connects me to her. And because Angel view was one of her favorites anytime I'm ever in town I always have to stop... read more

I was able to schedule a donation pick-up. The team that arrived was friendly, and they were quick to pick up all items providing a receipt before they left. I'm very appreciative that they were able to pick up all the items from my home, saving me several trips to the domain center. I highly recommend their services if you need bulk donation items picked up from your home. read more

Moved to 29 Palms a couple of weeks ago and found Angel View. Bought a pretty lamp with bulb for $5. Chico top for $7 and willow basket for $1.99. Huge selection of clothing and housewares. Missed out on 2 chairs for $20-gotta go back every week! read more

Diamond in the rough! If you're a thrift store enthusiast like I am, you'll know that Joshua Tree is a bit of a thrift/resale mecca. There's tons of thrift stores that all cater to that unique Joshua Tree desert aesthetic that's a blend of Western Cowboy wear and bohemian chic. Most every store, from the higher end resale stores to the more budget friendly thrift shops will have neatly organized racks and beautifully arranged shelves of artfully curated items, each piece reflecting a gem that the owner found and would be worthy for a photo shoot. Even the less curated thrift stores that are a little more packed in each resonate their own unique personalities, with collections displayed artfully that still reflect a Joshua Tree vibe. Angel View is not one of those stores. When you walk into Angel View, it feels like you're walking into a Goodwill or Salvation Army. Big wide open space with bare walls and rows and rows of low racks for you to sift through. Mainly "normal" items such as everyday wear and household items rather than the fur coats and cowboy boots you find at other stores. BUT WAIT. I ended up finding a pair of cowboy boots just my size in super good condition, and it was only 30 bucks! Literally any other store those boots would have been 60+. I also bought a box of Christmas lights for 5 bucks. Like a HUGE box, literally over 80 feet of lights. Granted half of the lights didn't work, but hey it was 5 bucks. There were also some other items I was interested in but this was our last stop of the day and I had already bought enough things. There were only one or two men's boots at available in the store at the time I was there so I think I got lucky, but what I'm saying is don't count Angel View out. They may not have the same selection as other stores if you're interested in the more unique items, but if you do find something you like you'll get it at a much cheaper price than other thrift stores in the area. Also, they have a really friendly staff, everyone who works there is very welcoming and kind, I had a really great experience shopping there. read more

This thrift store has a lot of clothes. Unlike a lot of thrift stores (cough cough Goodwill) the clothes here are in very good shape for the most part. The prices reflect the quality to some extent but in this day and age are reasonable for most things. They don't arbitrarily mark up things just because it has a certain label, etc. I found quite a few awesome bargains in newer athletic brands and some vintage stuff as well. T shirt prices are kinda high at $4.49 but they don't mark up stuff like Nike or Under Armour performance shirts, like some major thrift chains (like, I dunno, Goodwill) does. So that's a win. The guy running the register was friendly and helpful and said they're trying to put out 1000 new pieces of clothing a day now that they're discontinuing carrying furniture and larger items. Shame on the grey haired manager here for verbally abusing me for sifting through non-donated clothes from a friend here. I have been a loyal customer here for almost every other day in the desert having lived here for years. She accused me for "stealing" donations outside and inside, and threatened to ban me from the store. I am curious to know where $17 buddha statue profits go to and $20 jacket proceeds go to when are dropped off on the curb? Best of rewards and riches to you. read more

This place shouldn't even be allowed to call itself a thrift store! They think everything more than 5 years old is an antique and price things outrageously high! $1000 for a fake Eames lounger and ottoman that is totally beat to crap? Come ON! And then there's the lovely service. I mean that sarcastically. There is one lady who seems perpetually hungover. One time I brought something to the counter that didn't have a price so I said "Hi, these don't have a price" and as she was looking for a tag she was muttering under her breath something about "Idiot can't even look for the price tag..." and i had to say "Excuse me, do you realize that you just said that out loud? Then there's the fake friendly co-dependent gay man who seems to think that the whole store would fall to pieces if he weren't running around having a fit about something. I like the giant guy. He's nice and I used to see another nice lady there but I don't go there very often now mainly because of the outrageous prices. Don't waste your time. read more

Rant: Angel View Thrift store Yucca Valley for judging my truck load of quality clothing and misc items as non-acceptable. They looked or "judged" from their door. The old lady wrinkled her nose and said "no thank you". I had baby jordans and good quality baby/toddler clothes from good stores. I have never had my donated items rejected by a thrift store that openly accepts donations. read more

This place is great its ears and full of me stuff they've got a really good clothing selection and the cashier Carol is so nice. She makes shopping there very pleasant experience. A desert gem. read more

I usually have no problem donating here. A lady named Maureen was at the donation area today and refused a mirror we were donating. But kind of in a cranky way. She said she wouldn't take it because there was a hole in it on the wood. That would be fine, but as she was saying it I looked down at some donated plastic thing that was busted up. Too bad, we had a brand new bike rack and a working smart tv we wanted to donate, a long with some recent books. I will not donate or shop there again from the way we were treated. I have always liked that store, but hear this Angel View...one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. Most your other employees are very nice. Her..not so much! read more

The best part is the price as they are extremely reasonable versus a lot of the other thrift stores are more expensive. They host a large variety of furniture though that is very specific for homes and apartments as well as a good amount of household appliances. Parking and shopping is a breeze read more

This place has something for everyone! I always bring my 90 year old Mother and my 17 year old daughter. We never leave the store with out buying something, there is so much goodies, its like a treasure hunt. Very nice and clean. The workers are always very nice. read more

10-26-19. last post was about the bugs we got from angel view bed on 9-26. a bed we bought months earlier. thought we beat them...gassing...washing...bleaching over and over. spent a lot of money...they seemed to be gone...now they are in our living room! thank you angel view! you are awesome! beware of this place! read more

After living here 32 years it was time to downsize. Wasn't interested in doing a garage sale. I simply packed all my extras up, called Angel View and they happily picked them up as well as furniture too. Even took two extra pieces of furniture I hadn't told the lady on the phone for pick up. Drivers were very nice and professional picking up all my items and even gave me a receipt. I now have less clutter and any proceeds from the sale of these items helps someone else. read more

By far, my favorite thrift store in town. In between classes at CMC, I usually come here to de-stress from all my work or just look around. They constantly have new items out, which I love. Everything is reasonably priced - clothes are in good condition, and media items are affordable as well as furniture and kitchen items. They have really interesting items every time I go, so even if I'm not buying anything at the time, I still enjoy looking around. And to add to that, the staff is always so kind to its customers. Lot's of great kitchen and knick knacks. Furniture is very reasonably priced. I visited this shop about four times during my week in the area. Each time, I found more awesome stuff. I don't know where they get their donations, but they get some crazy and unique stuff! I am an avid thrifter from CA to TX and all points in between and this was one of the best I've ever been to. read more

This store is very helpful in dropping off stuff. They have a good selection of every day use items. I've donated a lot of items recently because i like their attitude and the way they help people. It's always been important to me to make sure that donations go to a reputable organization. There are a lot of shady thrift stores claiming to help people and don't. I'm completely confident with Angel View thrift stores. read more
