St. Paddy's at Angelo's was such a fun experience. The garlic bread was perfectly toasted, buttery, and had just the right amount of garlic. The deep dish was amazing with a great cheese pull, and the thin crust might have been my favorite--super crispy and loaded with cheese. The whole place was decorated for St. Paddy's, with fun photo ops everywhere. Ended the meal with cheesecake and chocolate cake, both so good. They're even doing a make-your-own clover pizza this Sunday, which sounds like such a fun activity. Definitely a great spot to celebrate and enjoy some really good pizza. Service was top notch!

Better than the chains for stuffed pizza. I would recommend out of towners to try this place instead of the typical chains although not a lot of tourists would come to the south side.

I had the pleasure of spending a Friday afternoon at Angelo's Stuffed Pizza. I have been here before, about two years ago. When they first introduced their birria heart shaped pizza. The pizza was amazing, but I only had the opportunity of eating one slice from how full I was. This time around, I wanted to try more things. To start, my friend and I tried the teriyaki and buffalo wings. I really enjoyed their buffalo sauce; it is house-made and tastes more on the spicier and buttery side as opposed to the vinegary and salty taste of other buffalo sauces. I wasn't much of a fan of their teriyaki wings. Sort of reminded me of soy garlic but sweeter. Both of these wings paired well with the other of fries we got. I think they were beer-battered fries, fried perfectly. For our next course, we got the chicken carbonara. I was blown away with how good this pasta was. I typically shy away from carbonara because most of the time it is bland, but this pasta was well seasoned. From the sauce to the juicy, flavorful chicken. I was impressed, better than most of the Italian spots downtown. To end our dinner, we had the opportunity to try the pizza of the month: chicken alfredo with fresh basil. I didn't realize they were growing basil in the front of the restaurant so when the chef came out to pick some to put on our pizza, I knew I was in for a treat. The pizza was amazing, cooked to the perfect temp, not drying out the chicken or the basil. You could tell they perfected this recipe before putting it on the menu. The chicken was the same chicken used in the carbonara so the seasonings really complemented the alfredo base. Our second pizza was a 6 inch personal deep dish. I really wanted to try their deep dish again to remind myself how good their marinara sauce is. It is sweet yet savory. Quite the contrast to other deep dish marinara sauce in the city. I enjoyed it! And for only $10 during their lunch hours, I was impressed. Other spots in the city charge almost $15 for a personal pan. Overall, I enjoyed Angelo's a lot! I spoke with the owner after our meal and he was a very nice guy! You could tell he has a lot of passion for food and pizza, and it shows. I would recommend Angelo's to anyone in the Southwest area of Chicago. I promise it is worth the trip!

Came with an appetite and left with a new favorite dine-in spot. Definitely an underrated place! If you're hungry for something whether it's a burger, pasta, pizza, wings, etc.. this place has it all. I'm for sure returning more often! 10/10 service, food, and atmosphere. The decorations during the festive fall season are cute too!

Double bacon something burger, no bacon..

If I have the luxury to dine in during non traffic hours, I will.. The menu is extensive and they don't disappoint. The atmosphere is easy going and the decor will keep you captivated while you wait for your order. The music varies. Yet is low enough not to have to shout over. Making it that more of an enjoyable dining experience. This was the double bacon something, or other without the bacon. Angelo's has thee best burgers and the best pizza in the city hands down. Fresh ingredients, freshly made, and just beyond words. They have all of my guilty pleasures, so they won't be seeing me too frequently. Just know that I love you guys, and greatly appreciate your hospitality and quality of food.. I'll be seeing you.. Sincerely, A Lifelong Southsider Update.. grilled chicken is so dry .. pita sauce is just as bad as blu cheese

The friendliest staff in Chicago. The food is great and the namesake stuffed pizza is amazing, but the tavern style and Sandos are also really great. The restaurant is cool and casual with a ceiling mural, photo backdrop and garage door that opens in summer and spring

Astounding is the word I'm choosing for my experience of the food I had in this place. Angelo's Stuffed Pizza located in the southwest side of Chicago, Archer Heights. Once you enter the lovely restaurant is full of surprise and wonders, from the decor of the vine walls covered in lights and the noticeable yellow neon sign in the back that reads Slice Slice Baby to a recreation of the famous painting The Creation of Adam with a pizza twist. This place is full of charm. Ive been seeing this restaurant every time i drive around the neighborhood and i have always wonder how the food will taste and today was the day to try this place. Upon arrival the hostess greeted me with a smile and so much joy that made me feel welcome. I order the a Bella Stuffed pizza, its comes with Sausage, Mushroom, Onion, Bell Pepper, Pepperoni, Ham, Baby Spinach, and Jalapeño. it took around 45 minutes for my order to be finish but the wait was so worth it. I grabbed a slice and the cheese pull was mouthwatering, so much beauty for my eyes to take. The taste was delicious the sweet sauce of the pizza with the spiciness of the jalapeños complimented each other like a perfect dance and my mouth was the dance floor. Perfection, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The stuffed pizza was definitely the star for me however I was a big fan of the wings as well! The restaurant goes all out with holidays and has a lot of great instagram worthy spots! The service is super friendly and they make food to order so it's always piping hot!

I recently went out to archer Heights and tried Angelo's Stuffed pizza. I was expecting good pizza, but I found much, much more. First, the pizza is amazing. Of course I got deep dish pizza, and of course I ordered pepperoni pizza. The pizza was great. The sauce was good and had a slight sweetness to it. The cheese was very gooey and made for an nice cheese pull. Next, the onion rings were very good. They were bread heavily and had a very good crunch to them. I also ordered the Porky's Double Patties Burger. It's basically and double bacon cheeseburger. The patties were thick and juicy. I was told by the staff that the parties were made in-house and you could taste the difference. The interior was very cool. Their ceiling was painted a light blue and with murals. This place is worth a drive out to Archer Heights.

Cheese pull for the stuffed pizza!

Pizza was delivered 2 hours late with no notice. It's honestly overpriced and I suggest ordering from the Domino's down the block instead.

The restaurant is not busy at all. We were seated right away. Our server was nice and attentive. We ordered pizza and pasta. Pepperoni and Whipped Ricotta Pizza - cooked perfectly, fresh ingredients and delicious! Served hot! Short Rib Pappardelle - to die for! This is very tasty, the pasta is cooked al dente. The short rib sauce is ssosooo delicious! We sat by the bar overlooking the open kitchen. It was nice to see the chef make the pizza and make the pasta. Normally I hate those kinds of large group dinners, but this was the perfect spot for it. The service was absolutely wonderful. I don't know how our server stayed so cool and calm with a group that size. We got a variety of things. EVERYTHING was amazing. If you have seen any of my other reviews, I always get a meatball when I'm at a place that has them. They almost never live up to my expectation. But this place has the new gold standard for a meatball. It was everything you want. It is fork tender, full of flavor, no chewy ground up bits. The pizzas were authentic and thin. With fabulous house made red sauce that wasn't too thick and overwhelming. The flavor was A+ The cocktails were so good! All made from scratch with love. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a group or a date. They have a full bar, and also great seating with perfect lighting. This is a new favorite for me in the city.

The ambiance is nice with the restaurant not too dark but still has moody lighting. The entire time we sat down there was a huge group of people waiting for a table, so definitely make a reservation! Caesar salad was interesting, it has chopped celery inside which I didn't realize until I started eating. I don't like celery but my sis does and she liked it in the salad. Pappardelle alla porcellino and chicken vesuvio were AMAZING. Pasta was fresh and the chicken was so decadent. Both mocktails I were delish. The tiramisu was SO GOOD. I came here for a business dinner with about 6 others. The only frustrating part of our experience was we made a reservation online weeks in advance and when we arrived we were told that they basically overbooked every night and when you reserve a seat you're just saying you're coming. So we showed up and were told we were going to wait an hour. It sounds like they are super busy, but there are better ways to ensure the restaurant is selling every available seat rather than offering basically fake reservations that don't mean anything when you get there. Someone in our group complained enough about it that they sat us and did honor the reservation which we appreciated - given that it was a business dinner though, I think it was awkward we had to do that. It just was a LOT of work to organize multiple out of towners getting together and to show up and potentially wait an hour would have been so inconvenient. They really should fix this problem. The reservation issue aside the experience was great. The service is just sort of meh I didn't feel like they were above or beyond and didn't note anything exceptional there. But the food..... the food is the main event for sure. Everything I tried I loved. I had just had Italian the day before so I didn't want anything that felt "too Italian" (lasagna, pasta, pizza, etc) so I got the braised short rib over polenta which was a nice change of pace. It was amazing. Some of the best polenta I've ever had. I am already looking forward to the next time I can go back! The food here is outstanding. If you are able to go, I would highly recommend it.

The octopus surprised me because octopus can be hit or miss for me, but they did it really well! The table bread was also pretty good and cheesy. The Caesar was just fine. Nothing special but not bad (which is good coming from me since I'm not usually big on kale). Of course all of the pastas were yummy. The fusilloni was definitely my favorite from the noodle shape to the sausage and cheese. The ricotta dumplings were suuuuuper cheesy which I really liked (though I could see why others wouldn't) and had a melt in your mouth softness. The rigatoni was tasty, but kinda just tasted like a normal red sauce so would probably try something more interesting next time. We really enjoyed the chicken parm, too. Had to use the menu to fan ourselves, other patrons were doing it as well. The fritto misto was ok, the breading tasted like it was old or had been sitting out. Not as crispy as we'd hope. To be honest felt like frozen calamari quality. The Alla Vita chopped was pretty standard, kinda reminded me of Olive Garden salad lol. The stars of the meal were the tagliatelle and cappelletti pasta. Both were super flavorful and pasta cooked well. The bone-in ribeye was a little on the sweeter side, definitely lacked a crust and salt. I'd pass on the steak IMO. Our biggest qualm was the timing of the dishes coming out. The pasta came out 30-35 minutes after the appetizer and salad which is fine, but the steak coming out 15 minutes after the pasta kinda ruined it. We'd love to eat the entrees (steak and pasta) together, and not finish our pasta first or let it go cold then eat steak alone.. ya know? We had ordered crispy potatoes but cancelled due to the wait. Ended the night with mango passion fruit sorbet with a prosecco float. Big mistake on the prosecco float haha it was so tarte and bitter, would def recommend trying the sorbet alone! Overall, glad we finally got to try this place. Focus more on the pastas and skip the steak. Very beautiful inside.
