The glassware is also eye-catching. The Co-Op is three stories of antiquey goodness. While the furniture is extraordinary, someone always beats me to the punch. They's always a sold sign on each beautiful piece. The Co-Op mostly has glassware, but this is definately a place to check out if you're into antiques. I've found a few vintage instructional manuals that have come in handy. There are a few drawbacks to the Ransomville Co-Op. The first being is that they are not consistently opened. I have dropped by many times only to find a sign saying that they'll "be back soon." Now I always call ahead to make sure someone is there. Another thing that bothers me are the posters strung up around the Co-Op. I think one "you break it, you bought it" sign should suffice. Or even one in each corner. There just seems to be a lot of them. But overall, this is a nice place.

They carried almost all of the merchandise I was looking for for my (hard-to-find gifts for) daughter. Staff (or owner) were friendly and helpful. It can get busy (and crowded) inside so be mindful and tread lightly. There are enough items on the front porch to browse through that it took me at least 20 mins to check them out even before entering the store, which took me even longer inside. Just so much to see. They even had "Royal Baby Commemorative Mugs" celebrating the birth of Prince George displayed in the front window (no, I didn't buy one, although I was tempted). I really would have liked to explore The Scottish Loft more, but it's a small place and at the time we visited was very crowded. I wanted to check out the food section for some lemon curd and ginger nuts, but the food was all kept in a very narrow hallway at the back of the store which was totally blocked by an elderly lady with a walking device literally as wide as the hall. I look forward to browsing in this shop some other time (preferably during Niagara on the Lake's "off" season).

While most antique places focus mainly on glassware, the Country Doc has a good variety of items. The owner is really nice and that is something I value when I browse antiques. The place may be a little crowded, but that means more items! The house is two stories. But if you go around to the back of the house, there is a room with more items.
