History
Established in 1999.
Paul O Callaghan has been an enthusiastic and successful angler since he was a child, often getting dropped off by the side of a cavan lake and collected at the end of the day by his father to return home to dublin. It was always his dream to have his own tackle shop, later on in life he found himself buying tackle from UK mail order magazines with his sons and often longed for a fully fledged coarse angling shop in Ireland. Having also played a big part in setting up and running a local pike club and having landed numerous specimen sized pike, tench and bream in Ireland, he felt he had enough experience and knowledge to become a tackle dealer. Not one to do things by half, Paul opened up his store "Anglers World" and envisaged the growth of carp fishing by bringing big name carp and pike brands to the country for the first time. Nowadays at Anglers World, you will still find this commitment to pike, carp and specialist coarse fishing in the product range from all over the world.
