You did your trigonometry wrong, son. You marked the wrong Angle, see?
When I was a kid, before I'd even started school, I was obsessed with Geography. I'd have my parents buy me maps and atlases and spinning globes instead of normal toys. And little cars so I could pretend I was driving around the world. Years later, that's kind of what I do. I like it better when I have company.
In this case, I went on my first ever holiday with my Dad, just me and him, when I was about 3 or 4, back in the 1980s or something. I was navigating, and we drove all the way to Wales. I told him which roads to take and where to turn and so on. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in Benllech, and visited Holyhead, Amlwch, Caernafon, and Beaumaris where we went in the castle. Very good memories. Sad, distant memories. He still talks about that trip, to this day. And I still remember it. It rained a lot, and we had a lovely time.
This review is for the Island of Anglesey, which for the above reasons will always be special to me and scores 5 stars. It's a lovely secluded little island in North West Wales with a few nice beaches, and ferry links to Liverpool and Ireland via Holyhead. It has a rail link through Holyhead, has two nice bridges (the Menai and the Brittannia), and is a great destination for holidays if you just want to get away from it all.
And this is review #1985, because it was in the 80s (ish) that Dad and I went there. I have been back many times since though. read more
