Anika is the real deal. I came to her about a month or more ago and needed help with my interview skills and to better present myself for my sports career. We discussed my passions and it helped me realize why I want to work in sports, but additionally she taught me certain skills within myself that I didn't know were even considered skills. I honestly don't know where to start, so I am going to write about my journey with Anika. My wife Alexa and I met Anika a few months ago. We were having issues as every couple do in a relationship . We both have been going through changes in our lives which put a lot of stress on our relationship.We decided to fix it by doing couple therapy. I remember the first time we talked to Anika we thought we had a lot to say! But when it came down to actually talking everything through, we both didn't know where to start. But Anika somehow knew what we were both trying to say. She would ask us questions and guide through the process and I remember every time I answer a question, I felt better and better that what I was feeling or saying was totally normal or in Anika's words: 'it makes all the sense in the world for you to be feeling this way". Relationship therapy is hard. However, Anika taught so many new and easy tools to incorporate into our daily lives which really helped a lot. She taught us how to actually communicate and listen to each other and validate each other's feelings! She taught us how to repeat what the other person is feeling and put ourselves in each other's shoes and not point fingers! Which is what we were both great at lol. Anika not only helped us with our relationship A LOT but also made us feel like we are in a safe place. I am proud of myself and my wife for doing the work eventhough we still have a long way to go.
