We came in for a late lunch around 4 o'clock, just after their buffet hours had ended. We were a little hesitant walking into the restaurant since both the parking lot and the dining area looked empty. However, the staff was warm and welcoming and we were seated immediately. The food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. The Malabar parotta and mutton biryani (made with zeera samba rice) were a pleasant surprise. It came with raita and kurma- brought back fond memories of Tamil Nadu. The mango fish curry was finger-licking good, but the crab pepper masala was just okay. The person who brought out the food(I believe he was the chef) was very polite and professional. The bill came to around $90 including tip. Although I felt the food was slightly overpriced, the quality of the food, ambience, and service made it worth every penny. Honestly don't even know where to begin. Took my daughter Courtney here for what was meant to be a QUICK meal and it turned into a full test of patience. Staff moving at the speed of a snail on annual leave, no communication, just vibes (bad ones). Order was wrong (shock), chips were cold, drink tasted like it needed counselling. Courtney was starving and trying to be polite because she's a good girl, but I could tell she was disappointed and as a MOTHER that's where I draw the line. No apology, no urgency, no pride. Loved the food. Anjappar in Raleigh has been our go to place for a long time, so we are definitely excited to have Anjappar not too far from our home. We did the weekend buffet and it was delicious! Loved the vegetarian and non-vegetarian variety. Gobi (cauliflower) and fried chicken appetizers were my favorite. Loved the variety of desserts - double ka meetha was soooo good. Manoj was the server in our side of the tables and he was prompt. He helped us with the drinks and other little requests we had for our children. My only negative is the weird stink when we enter. It's not the curry smell, it's something else. I hope it was temporary. read more

Delicious buffet with lots of variety, not cheap but good quality for what you pay. There is plenty of space for small group I tried a little bit ofpst.ofmtjr items but the butter chicken (although a popular American dish) was still my favorite with parotta. Great great experience! It's been open barely a month and they were packed. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and attentive. There was not a dish we didn't like and we can't wait to go back for their lunch buffet either Friday or Saturday! The restaurant itself is nice looking and clean. The one thing that stood out, although we didn't ask, was there was a mini water bottle on the table and no offerings of other water. Again, we didn't ask about water or free refills but it was something we noticed. read more

Food is great. Equal opportunities to enjoy for a veg , non-veg or seafood lovers. :) The place is a bit crowded and seems a bit chaotic. They serve buffet. All the chaos doesn't really matter if you are there just to eat the food. The buffet allows you to try the stuff. I would have given this place five stars but The only thing that did bother me is the lady who was going around asked me to pay even before I was done eating. Even though she said she thought I was done, I had a full plate of food in front of me uneaten as I was getting ready to eat. Either they were in a hurry to close for the afternoon or she was just making sure people were paying well before they left. We had a very disappointing experience at Anjappar. We made a reservation for 7 people a week in advance for Friday at 6:45 PM. We were seated on time and placed our order right away. By 7:45 PM, we had only received two appetizers. By 8:30 PM, our main courses still hadn't arrived. We tried multiple times to get the servers' attention, but no one bothered to come to our table or give us an update. We were there with two small kids and a tween who are used to eating by 7 PM, and it became extremely uncomfortable for them. On top of the delay, the staff were very rude and unapologetic. In the end, we simply walked out without being served our mains. Overall, the service was extremely poor, and we will not be visiting again. read more

Pineville is so lucky to have Anjappar, it's a wonderful new addition to the neighborhood. The food was so flavorful and authentic. We have been looking for an excellent Indian restaurant (my partner is from London, so he has been spoiled), and this certainly exceeded his expectations. No liquor license yet, but they are brand new. We look forward to going back soon to try other menu items, there were a lot of options, vegetarian included. Good with allergies, too. read more

We went here seeing all the hype on instagram. This place is just another substandard South indian diner...We went there at 16:30pm and one of the menu item we wanted ..they said was served after 5pm ... not a big deal we chose other items on the menu ..but the guy recording our menu did not care ..he could hv easily said it he can bring the dish at 5... it anyways took us about an hour to eat there ,but he just shrugged his shoulders .Water ws served in a tiny plastic bottle n drinks in small plastic lid sealed cups giving it a feel of a road side cafe .. Dosas were ok n served cold ... the restuarant wasnt even busy ... Overall we were not thrilled with our experience at all ... for the space n decor they hv .. this place can do better ..if they drop the average road side cafe feel .. n improve food quality n get their staff to care . read more

Worst buffet food. The fish curry was gross. My wife and I got violently sick after eating here.

The food and overall ambiance were good, but the experience was affected by the restaurant not offering table reservations over the phone. This resulted in a longer, unplanned wait time, making it difficult to plan our visit. Introducing a reservation system would greatly improve convenience for guests, especially during busy hours. read more
