GREAT find in Bend! Wish I could take them with me to CA or at least find a place similar near the bay area. Came here to visit my sister and just get away from life for a few days. Wasnt feeling tense but needed to relax so an hour massage is what I chose. (They were booked for most services or I would have added more) Lindsay was my massuse and she was amazing and sweet! She used some techniqus I have never experienced before and WOW way more effective. The atmosphere is very serene and comfortable even though they were busy. I do like this spa, however their customer service needs some work. I've emailed them at two different occasions and on one of them didn't hear back. The second one, they emailed back after a couple of days with a very bland and heartless response. I then replied back to clarify, and they did not respond (it's been well over a week now). The spa facility is cool. They have a sauna and sand room. I recommend going into the sand room! The locker rooms are tiny, but they do provide you with a secured locker. Customer service!! I have been here a few times and I can't believe I haven't reviewed them sooner. I have only had facials and massages...but the services I have had are consistently GOOD. They care about your experience with the spa as a whole not just your service. Only once was my technician late (she apologized and it was for an understandable reason). Front desk is organized and attentive. When I go to a spa and justify paying more for services I am picky about the customer service and overall experience and this place does not disappoint. Every time I have been to this spa it has been a great experience. The first time I went for a facial which was amazing. The second time I went, I got a pedicure and the nail tech McKayla was great! Felt overwhelmed when first walked in by all the products. Talk about sensory overload. You'd think a "day spa" is clean, organized, and minimal. The welcome my partner and I received from the front desk was sub-par and that's being generous when saying "sub-par." The only reason I gave this spa 2 stars is because they sell some local items. Can't complain about supporting local. Maybe will give another visit as bad days happen to everyone. read more

Went there to get rid of the tense moments of 2013 and had a very good experience. The decor is soothing and tasteful, the ambience is calm and quiet, and the staff is extremely positive and courteous. The changing room area was big enough, included lockers and a shower, and was very clean. I had a 90-minute custom massage (mine was deep tissue focusing on back and shoulders) from Tammy and it was excellent. Note that this spa includes aromatherapy with its massages, and was the extra feature I was looking for. Also available and used was a small steam sauna. (It is very small and co-ed; might hold three people who don't have personal space issues.) Lastly, I bought a few bars of soap and some aromatherapy oil, and the prices were reasonable, the products were locally made, and most importantly to me, there was no hard sell, like I often see. I'll be back on my next vacation to Bend - location is convenient, prices are reasonable, and staff is friendly and not overly "new age". read more

After being here several times for both massages and facials I am yet to have an unsatisfactory experience! Tempe did my facial, she was so sweet and fantastic. She used all natural products by Eminence Organics which I loved so much I ended up buying many of her product recommendations following my appointment and my skin has been very happy ever since! I usually don't write reviews, and really wanted to love this spa, but there are some things Anjou needs to address. The online scheduling for my facial was easy, but once I arrived at the spa the receptionist was unfriendly and the locker room and lounge area were super tight. This would have been fine had the atmosphere but relaxing, but other patrons were loudly talking/laughing (which is out of Anjou's control but it is standard to remind guests to use quiet voices) and you could hear the loud pop music and talking/laughing from the staff room just off the lounge area. My treatment was great once I got into my room, but the steps leading up to it were disappointing. read more

I WAS a loyal long-time customer - since it first opened - until management basically told me that three days was a reasonable duration for my manicure to be perfect . . . I had contacted them last week when the polish starting lifting - peeling off my nails - on day five. Excuse me, this is not my first manicure. Three days??? Really? I didn't even get a response to my complaint of pink-stained nails when I removed the bright deep red (it was gorgeous) polish. I have never had polish stain my nails. Never. So, instead of exercising over-the-top customer service by showing concern and understanding - not even so much as an "oh, we are so sorry" - I get blown off as peeling staining polish is normal and perfectly acceptable. The spa is great but the receptionists who answer the phone have an attitude as if you're inconveniencing them. How do you get away treating customers this way? I came in to get my nails done for my wedding and had the pleasure of great conversation and lots of laughs with the gals that worked at Anjou. The space was so clean and calm. I am a rock climber and they were able to transform my nails into something beautiful. I loved their relaxation space while my nails dried. I am excited to come back and feel like a fancy lady again. i went to get my nails done there the other day, manicure and pedicure and i have to tell you it was a joke! but cost $100!!! the girl didnt even soak my hands in warm water to soften the cuticles! Also, the old nail polish she used bubled up on my nails right after i left, it looked horrible! I had to repolish them. The ambiance was nice but the quality of work was the worst i ever gotten and i get manicures every week. read more

I was visiting Bend for the first time, and our friends set up massages for us here. I can honestly say, after all of the massages I have ever had, this one was by far, the best. I just had a baby and there are so many muscles that strain from carrying her around all the time. The massage therapist was so in tune with what my needs were, she was simply amazing. The facility is adorable, very cozy and warm. I am in love with all of their products too, all animal friendly and organic. Yes, I really liked my first experience - a Seasonal Pedicure & On the Go Manicure at Anjou Spa! Leslie was very skillful, gentle and pleasant. The zero gravity chair, the peaceful ambience, and Leslie's low-key personality all made for a very relaxing pedicure, and the manicure was thorough even though it was "on the go". I've spent a bundle on manis and pedis at the Biltmore Spa in AZ - and I have my favorite technician there - but I loved not being hurried, but feeling pampered, and the polish coverage was perfect, no gaps! I have been to MANY spa/salons in Bend & I have to say this is by far the best one I have been to! I received a deep tissue massage and it was my best yet! Also they have complimentary wine or beer, a relaxation lounge, a great steam room, and very nice locker rooms with lovely showers. All of those extras are included with any service! I loved it! This was my first visit to Anjou and did nothing more than the Seasonal Pedicure ...but even with this brief intro, I can definitely say this was the BEST pedicure I've ever had. The work was on my feet & toes but I felt entirely relaxed and refreshed after the experience. I worked with Leslie, who was friendly and informative and I didn't feel obligated to chat - just sat back and enjoyed the experience on my own terms. The chairs were amazing - laid back and enjoyed the blue sky above. Went to the spa with a group of 7 girls. I booked us all appointments over a week in advance and when we showed up they were ready for us. We all got pedicures which were very relaxing. The only downside is only two people can get pedicures at the same time, so we were there for 3 hours. The waiting was made better with the cocktail we all received and the bottles of wine we were allowed to bring in. The staff was great and welcoming and the place had a great atmosphere as well! read more

My boyfriend decided to make last minute reservations for a couples massage and we were placed on their wait list and were called which was awesome. We have been to a few places in town and always like trying different places. We went a few minutes early and were seated in the waiting room after were were shown around and changed. We were greeted by Sherry and Ashley and were taken to the room. Pros were: the massaged were great and they really took their time to make sure we were happy the. The Con: you could here all of the noises outside which was definitely annoying when you are trying to relax. We know we will be back but maybe they can do something about the noise. read more

BEST EVER!!! I can be quite picky with my massage places because I have my one go to place in Ashland, OR that nothing else has been able to compare. Until Anjou! The minute you walk in, you instantly feel calm. Excellent customer service! The massage was amazing, especially the aroma therapy with it. But to top it all off, you get to then use the wet and hot sauna that allows you to sweat all the toxins. Add that with the complimentary drinks, and beautiful bathrooms, etc., Anjou is by far the best massage place I've been to in YEARS!!! read more

I was glad to have picked this spa during my holiday in Bend. I had a wonderful 30-minute facial and my partner had a 60-minute massage. We were told to arrive early to enjoy their relaxation room, which we did. We were offered a beverage, we chose a Moscow Mule! Such a surprising and great inclusion. A coworker and I took our boss for an appreciation day. We brought champagne and upon arriving the receptionist took it from us , opened it, placed it on ice and gave it back to us with three chilled glasses. We went for pedicures and they were able to put three pedicure chairs together in a room so we were able to be together, very accommodating. Not only was their customer service Outstanding, they did a wonderful job on our nails. This is by far and away the best places we have visited! We will be back! read more

My family took a long weekend trip to Bend while my mother was visiting from Colorado. We all (including my husband!) decided to treat ourselves to some relaxation. My husband, who is VERY critical of massages said he'd received the best massage of his life, deep tissue. So BIG thumbs up for that. The staff was really friendly and ......calming. They all seemed to want to make sure you were well taken care of. I had a very relaxing facial with add on massage, a pedicure and a haircut. First off, I am always freezing, and it drives me nuts when I pay a lot of money to lay on a table for a service and am freezing. So I was very happy that they asked me how warm I wanted the blanket to be. :) The warmth and facial relaxed me so much that I caught a few needed zzz's. I really liked the product they used as well. While I wasn't there for a haircut, it had been a while since I'd gone and so it seemed like a good idea to try something new. I LOVED my cut! If Bend wasn't so far away, I'd go back all the time. Turns out the lady that cut my hair (Beth) is new to the salon, but I'd highly recommend her! I saw that they had a scrub room and learned that they do their scrubs under a "vichy" shower, which apparently rains warm water over you while they do the scrubs......wish I'd tried it, but something to look forward too. My mother said her massage was also really good and to top it all off, we spent about an hour lounging in the relaxation room with an amazing champagne and local liquor cocktail! Overall, a wonderful weekend experience! We all were able to relax and leave the chaos of our lives behind for a few hours! I will definitely return. read more

Just got my hair cut and had an amazing experience! They have an awesome relaxation room you can sit and have tea, water, or other beverage and just enjoy a quiet place while you wait. I saw one other review that mentioned how they didn't ask if you wanted any complimentary drink. They do have a list of cocktails, wines, beers, but I also had a similar experience of them not asking. I'm sure if you found someone and asked they would be more than happy to get you that, but that was the only downfall. The actual cut was by N. Taylor and she was incredibly knowledgeable about what I wanted and how I should care for my hair. I have fine hair and I tend to not see most people take that into consideration, but she did and cut accordingly. Will definitely be back! And can't wait to try a massage or mani/pedi! read more
