Definitely not the most professional urgent care I've been to but did the job alright. The office was okay but lacking in many ways. The receptionist was very kind in my opinion in person but not over the phone (she was very dismissive and was having a conversation with someone else while answering my call). Most people working had casual attire on which I guess is okay as long as care is given, it just takes away from the professionalism of it being a medical facility. For example: the guy who took me back before the doctor saw me was wearing sweatpants and a puffer jacket. I got my ear checked out by doctor Mustafa who was more professional and friendly and he sent me on my way with antibiotics to pick up. He said I should be feeling better overnight or within two days and my ear problem hasn't gone away but hopefully my antibiotics just need a few more days to kick in. Overall, this place was okay. Attire isn't everything and no one was rude or disrespectful. I definitely wouldn't NOT recommend it but there is probably a more professional place within a 5 mile radius. read more

This Urgent Care office on E. Stadium is a hidden gem. I was seen 3/3/26 for extreme hives on length of both legs. I was examined by a medical assistant, a medical student and a nurse practitioner, who treated me with respect. I was given a steroid injection, prescribed a steroid taper and steroid ointment. My hives were gone in 6 days. Also, free parking is available. I am grateful this Urgent Care is available. read more

Went to urgent care for my knee. X-rays were obtained and not reviewed with me. They did not examine my knee and told me to go to the ER for an MRI of my knee. At the ER I was informed that MRI's of the knee are not done in the emergency setting. This is frustrating as I was given the expectation of an MRI being performed in the ER - I wish the lady I saw understood the medical system enough to know that. The Urgent Care team would not even tell me their thoughts on what was going on with my knee as they "did not want to speculate". Not really sure what was done for me today - no answers, no thoughts, just an erroneous referral to the ER for something that no ERs perform (MRI of knees emergently). If you have a knee injury I would NOT recommend going to this clinic. Total waste of time and money. read more

HE WOULDN'T EVEN LOOK ME IN THE EYE He was staring at the floor like some idiot who doesn't know what he's doing. Dr. Chinoy Shakeeb is an embarrassment to the medical profession and has no compassion for ill patients or respect for women. My daughter and wife arrived at 11:15am on a Sunday with my daughter suffering with a severe cough and chest congestion. My son and I sat in the car in the parking lot so as not to crowd the waiting room. After waiting for 90 minutes (and provided no information from the staff despite multiple inquiries) they were finally led to an exam room. 45 min later my wife inquired about when they would be seen; a reasonable request after a 2 1/4 hour wait, the staff said they didn't know when the doctor could see them but would be happy to take a series of chest x-rays for her. My wife indicated that she wanted a doctor to look at my daughter before determining if checks x-ray x-rays were needed- They push the x-rays multiple times as if they were trying to get the revenue for the procedure. The doctor finally stuck his nose into the exam room 15 minutes later and told my wife that he hadn't eaten lunch and needed to put a number of prescriptions in to the pharmacy and he would see them afterwards. Obviously displeased my wife told them how long they've been waiting (now 2 hours 45 min) and his response was that "she was a disgrace to humanity". Absolutely frustrated to the point of almost crying, I told the front desk staff that they had better not charge our insurance anything as we had not been seen by a physician and we left. During our entire afternoon there, I witnessed multiple other patients complaining that their prescriptions were never filled they never heard back from the doctor along with a list of other issues. I would avoid this place at all cost. I will be writing a letter to the medical board and complaining about this physician. read more

When to location on a Monday for some testing. Blood drawn and urine test. $500.00 fee had to be paid before being seen. Taken into exam room. Waited over an hour to have blood draw due to crew doing nothing with no other patience's in the building. Left, Urine came back i 1 day. Good. Blood, took seven days of many phone call for results going unanswered. They kept say they were waiting for the lab. Promise to call back after each call was made but never happened. Finally, after 7 days the lab called and said them coulkdn't process the sample. WHAT A JOKE. Either these clowns didn't ship the sample or it went sitting somewhere and went bad. Either way, I could have died in that time. Asked to have refund for cost of test, still waiting for another call back . Run, don't walk away from these ass clowns if you need help. read more

I went there to get my shoulder checked out because I was in a lot of discomfort for months. The doctor did not seem like she believed me at all. I got an x ray and it showed nothing so she was very dismissive and it was extremely disheartening considering I had been struggling for MONTHS. I went to a different doctor and now I'm a couple months into physical therapy and am soon to get an MRI and every other doctor I've been to believes me. I had a good experience at Urgent Care on a Sunday, when my doctor's office was closed. I had tested positive for covid earlier in the day and went for a prescription for Paxlovid. The wait time wasn't bad at all--about 15 minutes, although I realize wait times can vary depending on how many people are waiting to be served. The clerk at the front desk was very efficient and pleasant, as was the doctor and the physician assistant whom I saw first. In Ann Arbor for the day and feeling poopy (again) I decided I wanted to rule out strep throat since my poor little tonsils were on fire and I didn't want to be a super sick elf come Christmas next week. Time to nip this 'ish in the bud. I called my regular doc and they didn't have any appointments so they recommended I come into urgent care hours that evening. Well, in the evening it gets SUPER busy so I decided to just run blindly into Ann Arbor Urgent Care and hope for the best. And the best I got. What a fab spot! The space is like your normal, run of the mill doctor's office. Nothing fancy but they did have some lovely decorations up to celebrate the holidays. I was the only one there (it's a Christmas miracle!) which meant everything went super speedy. The folks behind the desk were really nice and, after filling out some paperwork, I was pulled almost immediately in. A nurse came to check my vitals and swab my throat. She told me the test would take about 5 minutes and that the doc would come back with that info. There were a few other patients in the back so I had to wait a bit to see the doc but still that wait was NOTHING compared to what I had to endure my last urgent care visit a few weeks ago (I told you I've been sick a lot). When the doc came in he was super pleasant and had a fantastic sense of humor. He was cracking jokes, making me laugh left and right. I really appreciated it when I was feeling so crummy. The good news: I didn't have strep. The bad news: it was a virus so I just had to let it run its course. Drat. He gave me some tips on how to feel better faster and sent me on my way. I checked in with the front desk who told me I was all set and the clerk said in a very sincere way, "I hope you feel better!" which I actually haven't had anyone say to me in the few times I've been in and out of doc offices the last few months. It warmed the cockles of my heart. I don't live out near here but I'm in Ann Arbor enough for work and play so at least I now have an amazing spot to rely on should I end up feeling crummy again. A couple of weeks ago I sprained my ankle pretty badly. Finding an emergency room with a reasonable waiting time AND with a working X-ray (there had been power outages; you'd think that would have back up power...) was not proving easy. A friend recommended Ann Arbor Urgent Care. Off we went There, I was seen by Kristen Suarez. She was great. Knowledgeable, empathetic, professional but still wonderfully personable. She recommended X-rays, but no one was in at the moment who could take them. We waited (not long) for someone who had been called in on her day off to cover for the usually scheduled person. Amber to the rescue! Amber arrived, clearly having rushed in, but jumped in and with an equally professional and personable attitude had me taken care of in minutes. Kristin came in and talked with us about the X-rays. Amber came back in to wrap my ankle. We purchased the bandages and crutches there (better price than just about anywhere else) and off we went. She continued to tell us that my daughter would be seen in "just a few minutes". 40 minutes later she still was not seen. We cut our losses and left. The doctor I saw here did a lot of things wrong, but the worst was definitely that he brought me SOMEONE ELSE'S POSITIVE COVID TEST RESULT, which not only almost gave me a heart attack but is a major HIPAA violation. I came in with a 103 degree fever due to a non-contagious infection, and the aforementioned doctor forgot to run the covid test they made me take, then came into my room telling me I had covid and handed me a test result sheet with someone else's name in big letters on it. Then he got snippy when I asked how much longer it would take to run my actual swab (I was alone in a room waiting with a crazy high fever and it was miserable). When he finally came in, he had no idea what I was actually in for (mastitis) and started telling me I needed a mammogram because I had a big breast lump. Yes, from the mastitis! I had to beg him for antibiotics after he tried to argue with me that I couldn't have mastitis because my breast wasn't red. (Guess what, I did have mastitis, the redness showed up later that night). After literally fighting with him to get a prescription, he also prescribed me a topical antibiotic cream (??) which is 100% not how mastitis is able to be treated. It was such a bizarre and hostile experience. It's hard enough for women to have doctors take us seriously and to get proper ob/gyn care when we need it most, let alone dealing with doctors like that who don't understand basic conditions. Oh yeah, and.... maybe double check the name on covid test results first?? read more

Took my girlfriend in with a fluctuating fever, severely swollen lymph nodes, abdominal pain, and dizziness. The MA taking her symptoms couldn't speak clearly without mumbling, routinely stared off into space, and didn't pay attention in general to my girls symptoms, because she WAS TEXTING instead. The person who tried to take the blood sample was an obvious amateur, who couldn't get one, even though the veins aren't small or fleeing (I'm a former phlebotomist), so all they could go off of for diagnosis was a urine sample. When the DOCTOR came in is when the farce hit it's peak. He was utterly dismissive of symptoms, didn't listen to anything we said, brushed through what they DID have for diagnosis ("Huh. You have a lot of protein in your urine w/e.") and gave a formal diagnosis of "Flank Pain". Yeah... His diagnosis was literally one of the symptoms. Pathetic. I can't believe he passed medical school. Must have been some cheap online degree. We later went to the ER and after actual testing ended on the diagnosis of a severe Mononucleosis infection, which required 2 immediate IV saline bags. 0/5 Stars. Absolutely insulting waste of an hour and $25. Flank pain my ass. read more

Everyone was very helpful, and the wait was short despite the number of cars in the parking lot. Ana was very understanding of my issues and Jamie (assistant) was very competent and nice. I had lots of questions after going to the UM hospital ER the previous day (broken collarbone), and Ana was able to give me answers. It felt way more personal than talking to my ER doctor, who I felt was very dismissive and just wanted to be done talking to me. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in any clinic anywhere. There are some serious communication issues between the doctors and the staff. Basically, I was forced to reveal all sorts of private medical information in front of a waiting room full of people. The doctor made me speak to him on the phone in their own waiting room while he was just behind the door--I could hear his voice. I kept begging to just be able to speak to him in person because I was uncomfortable having a private conversation in front of all the waiting people, but he ignored every request. The doctor was rude; he kept shouting at me and talking over me and refused to listen to any question that I had. And it was all about a relatively simple matter that could have been handled in a two-minute private conversation. I will never go to this place again, and I would suggest you avoid it unless you have no other options. read more

UPDATE: 3 months later and the wound has healed (finally). The scar is atrocious and looks worse than the wound somehow. Please don't waste your time here. -- Came in with a huge gash in foot (needed stitches and bleeding a ton). Waited forever. Staff super unprofessional. NP not very knowledgeable (I asked some questions, she didn't seem confident in answer). Asked about how to keep wound clean/should I get it wet in shower etc... Got two different answers (one from NP and other from a different nurse). Called my dad after (he is a very experienced ER physician in CO - 20 years- and deals with stitching people up all the time) and he advised me against both of their care tips to avoid infection. Also the lady who worked the desk kept coming in to gape at my heel (before stitches and after stitches) because "she likes blood." Never going back. read more

I told them I wanted to wait in the car (so I don't spread germs) and have them call me when it was my turn. I had high hopes for this urgent care after they took me back to be seen by the doctor almost immediately, but the list of positives end there. The doctor proceeded to try to talk me into becoming a regular patient at his other practice and ordered a slew of blood tests. The technician came in to draw my blood and it took her no less than 5 times to find my vein- you can see my veins through my skin...should not have been difficult! The doctor told me to come back in a week to go over the tests. The visit left me feeling like they were only mildly incompentent and I chalked it up to not being my regular doctor. I went back in a week only to be told that they had drawn the blood wrong and the lab couldnt test it. So glad for the phone call, guys. Good thing I didn't have a horrible disease that needed to be treated immediately. I then saw a different doctor as the original doctor wasnt there- this doctor lectured me about not going to my primary care doc for my issue and said I didnt need any of the tests the other doctor ordered. I left frustrated, but not as frustrated as I was when a month later I got a bill for almost $400 for tests they didnt even get to run as a result of incompence on their part. When I called them they claimed my insurance had denied their claim and said I would need to speak to my insurance company. My insurance company had no record of them ever submittong the claim. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere foe your urgent care needs. Two friends recounted similar stories of this place, so I don't think this was an isolated incident. read more

Please don't go here. I'm sure this is an illegal operation. I came here for when I was sick for almost a month and just wanted to get better. I was seen pretty quickly (maybe 10-15 min) and the nurse took my blood pressure/temp/oxygen level. The standard and then another 10-15 min later the doctor came in. He did not have a name tag but he was middle eastern (I believe Dr. Ali) and I basically told him what was wrong with me. I've had sinus infections before and this was essentially it so he talked to me for 5 min then wrote some scripts and sent me over the room to the "pharmacy." The scripts were for 1000 mg of penicillin and the pharmacist was shocked to see such a high dosage and went over to make sure. The doctor and the pharmacist went back and forth for about 40 minutes until she finally filled the script. Then she tried to get me to buy all these other items and the cost came to about $100. They said they will send me the bill later. Fast forward to finally getting the statement a few weeks later and they charged me $208 for a LEVEL 4 appt with a Dr. Stevenson. I DID NOT SEE a Dr. Stevenson. So I called the office and spoke to the manager and w/o much conversation he drops the level to a 3 and some money off. I talk to my friend who also goes there quite frequently and she said they charge her $20 a visit and it DOES NOT go through her insurance even though she has it. I'm livid... I see this doctor for 5 min and they put it at a level 4??? I call the billing office and they say that it's all up to the doctor what level to put it and it goes from 1-5 but the office manager says it starts at level 3 and up. This place is a SCAM and I feel like they're doing something illegal since I wasn't allowed to fill my prescriptions elsewhere besides THEIR pharmacy. BEWARE this place!!!! read more

A "REAL" doctor came in , i had to cough harshly for him to hear what was going on. a girl than came in - asked me to take off my underwire bra (understandable) for the chest x ray ... which she proceeded to have ME WALK ACROSS THE WHOLE OFFICE BRA LESS - 1st time i felt so violated. the x- ray didn't take too long either , then i had the breathing treatment, which was alright , they left me alone in there and the thing started drooling all over me. declaration - i have bronchitis - my two options were then 1) get 2 shots in the butt, one antibiotic and one steriod) or 2) sit there for 10 -15 minutes with an IV in my arm (HELL NO!). i opted for the shots --- which they DID NOT DISCLOSE TO ME WHAT THEY WERE ACTUALLY PUTTING IN ME !! ViOLATION 2 ---- the girl literally pulled down my PANTS !!!!!!!!!!!! and didn't say anything before doing it or give me a warning SOOOOOOOO INNAPPROPRIATE!!!!!!!!!! i was like ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW ALSO --- THEY DO NOT KNOCK ON THE DOOR BEFORE COMING IN TO THE ROOm!!! or even tell u their fucking name... she gave me the 2 shots - and it was whatever, then walked out of the room.... i paced around the room for about 20 minutes... and it was to the point where i was like WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON.. i open the door - and they're like oh u could leave whenver u want... welll HELLLO was someone gonna tell me that ever?? went out into the lobby - where the pharmacy was - BIG HOUSE Pharamacy - they gave me 4 things !! at 63$ whatever.. I had my MRI and came back to the urgent care for a follow-up (which I was told would be free of charge the first time I came to visit) and the doctor spent probably 30 seconds looking at the results of the MRI before telling me that I had mild arthritis and that I needed to exercise and lose weight. "Gee," I thought to myself. "Execercise. That thing I used to do BEFORE I WAS IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN. How nice it would be to do that again." After that priceless nugget of advice and a prescription for general physical therapy, the doctor got up to leave. I asked him if I could have anything for the pain in the meantime, and he told me he wasn't "allowed" to write prescriptions for pain management and the best he could do was give me another prescription for what I was already taking. And that was that. Weeks later, I've seen my *real* doctor and have discovered the real source of my pain. Arthritis had nothing to do with it. I'm so relieved to have found a doctor who is actually interested in treating patients, unlike the doctors at this urgent care. Fun sidenote: that follow-up visit that I wasn't going to be charged for? I got a bill for that visit in the mail yesterday. Needless to say, I will be contesting the bill and they will not be getting another dime from me. read more

Where do I begin? I went in on a Saturday in early January 2014, after I dislocated my knee cap, and after a truly bizarre experience I thought it was best to wait before I wrote a review. The check in process was easy and I saw a nurse within 5 minutes of being there. After asking me if this had happened before, the doctor asked me "so how is this usually treated?" After I gave my answer the doctor agreed that he wanted to proceed with the same treatment. I then got an x-ray of my knee, which I never saw nor did the doctor ever discuss with me. Finally I was sent off with a prescription for an anti-inflammatory with a prescription pad for two doctors that work at the Taylor Romulus Urgent Care (which is weird since I was at the Ann Arbor Urgent Care), and neither of which was the doctor I saw. Moreover I later got a bill for seeing one of the doctors on that prescription pad that was NOT the doctor I actually saw. The only thing that was positive about this place (and the reason I'm giving it two stars versus one) was the two techs who took my initial vitals and my x-rays, the rest of this place is just bizarre. read more

Never again. I went here twice for the same awful chest cold a while back. Like, this was an epic chest cold that made me feel 80 years old and like I had emphysema. Anyway. The facility was clean enough and I got in and out pretty quickly both times, but left with two entirely different diagnoses. The first doc said it was bacterial, and gave me a round of pretty harsh antibiotics that, sadly, did nothing but leave me with days of a really bad stomachache and the inability to digest anything but say, yogurt. I try not to be all Internet Doctor and diagnose myself, but I had a feeling it wasn't bacterial. Second Doctor confirmed this, but said there was nothing I could do or take to relieve my symptoms, except "tea with honey", which was strange, considering I didn't have a sore throat... but, whatever, i'm not the doctor. Also, there was a billing hiccup, wherein they didn't bill me enough the first time, I guess. As a result, they charged me twice as much the second time, which was annoying because I wasn't really expecting that on top of having to pay for needless prescriptions. ALSO, they billed me twice for their shortage, including sending a bill to my mom's house, just because that's the address on my insurance policy. Not only should I have not had to pay for their mistake, I don't thing, but I especially shouldn't have had to pay for it twice. When I explained the mixup at the second visit, the receptionist batted not an eye and just explained that's just how it is. read more

I went in on a Saturday morning. Check-in process was easy. I was taken in to meet with a med tech within 10 minutes of getting there. The room they use for consultation/discussion is visible from the outside. There is no privacy. After consult with the med tech, I was taken into an exam room (private) to wait for a physician. MD examined me and ordered an X-ray. I was taken into a disorganized x-ray room with a pile of boxes in the corner of the room. I was in here for about 40 minutes while the techs took X-ray after X-ray, unnecessarily. I overheard them talking saying "I don't know how to get this angle" and the physician giving directions. After 5 tries, someone else had to come in to get it right. I'm all for teaching environments, but not when it comes to exposing me to unnecessary radiation. While sitting there for 40 minutes, I noticed that the X-ray machines was manufactured in March 1986. Yes. that would be a 27 year-old machine. I was told that I have a fractured foot and they gave me a boot. I went back 4 days later to get a copy of the X-ray report for my doctor. I was informed that the X-ray had just gone out that morning for a radiology read and that I could get the X-ray images on a CD for $5 to take to my doctor. Went to my doctor with the CD. The ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON opped in the CD and looked at all the x-rays. Could NOT find a fracture. Not the most efficient and staff definitely needs better training. I will not be returning. read more

I came in yesterday for a persistent cough, congestion, body aches, etc. I saw an NP and NP student - both were some of the kindest, most thorough health care providers I have seen! They were able to give me some ibuprofen and a breathing treatment while J was there and ordered the meds I will need to combat these symptoms. Only downfall was spending 2 hours there total while I didn't feel well, but I know healthcare can take time and there are staffing shortages. read more

My insurance covers A2 Urgent Care, which is why I chose this particular urgent care center. I was feeling miserable with a fever of over 104. The wait was reasonable (about 30 minutes), but awkward because it shares common space with several other medical agencies. When I was called, I explained to the nurse that I have a hearing-impairment, requiring her to enunciate and speak up. She was incredibly quiet, so I asked her again to speak up. And again. She stated that she just speaks quietly, and it's "hard" for her to speak louder. I explained - through tears (remember, I was sick) - that one can't provide care if her patients can't hear her. She shrugged. The doctor I saw was equally as dismissive; it was clear that it was the end of his shift (~4:50pm) and he was in a hurry to get home. He had already left when my strep test results came back, so I strained to try to understand the quiet nurse's instructions for care. I will pay a premium to go anywhere else; my experience was terrible. read more

My 18 old son when to the Urgent care with acid reflux issue. I am not sure which doctor saw him but I believe he said his name is Dr. Sai. I live in NY so I requested to speak with him but he brushed me off by saying I have prescribed 7 medicines for my son. When I asked for names of the medicine he won't give it to me. Later found out that he has prescribed "ZANTAC" for my son. This medicine was recalled about 2 years ago and he has prescribed that to my son yesterday. Isn't that dangerous??? How can a doctor not know about the medicine that is recalled??? read more

Ended up here unexpectedly (don't we all) and everyone here was wonderful. I had to come back for a few checkups and so I saw a variety of the staff here. I didn't have to wait long to be seen and I never felt rushed when being seen. Felt listened to and it helps they have later hours (due to my job). Came here several times in the beginning of January for a wonderful illness that just kept giving. I'm so new in town that I don't have a primary care doctor yet, so I had to rely on urgent care when I got very sick. After starting a new insurance plan for 2014 and having a pretty lousy experience at another urgent care facility, I gave this one a shot. There's something a little trashy about this place, even by urgent care standards. It's a little run down, the staff at the front window are indifferent, but for some reason, it still manages to feel comfortable while waiting to be seen. After I was taken back, the nurses listened to the history of what I was going through, since I had been struggling with this illness for a few weeks before coming in. I had to explain a couple of times that I was there because symptom A was really unbearable, but they were fixating on symptom B. When the doctor, Dr. Alli, came in, he addressed the symptoms the nurses were concerned about, and then came back and wanted to talk about the symptom I was concerned about. I was given enough perscriptions to supply a small nation and sent on my way. But here is where my experience with Ann Arbor Urgent Care was excellent. Dr. Alli told me to come back the next day. He would wave the copay. So I did. I was pulled back almost immediately. He saw progress, but wanted me to come back again. So I did. I had 3 follow up appointments, all at no cost. He was very committed to making sure I was on the path to recovery. Other Urgent Care facilities I've used don't do any follow up other than to send me a bill. read more

The decor is somewhat drab and the office seems a bit outdated. The women at the front desk did not smile, nor were they very warm, but they got me checked in very easily. I waited about 15 minutes, which seemed odd for the empty waiting room, but when I did go to the back I found the service from the doctors to be amazing! I met with Dr. Ali who was kind and thorough, unlike most urgent care doctors I have met. He quickly ran tests for strep and flu just in case and offered me a prescription for my severe sinus infection as soon as those came back negative. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and will return if I am again in need of an urgent care facility. read more

Go to a different place. The med tech was thorough and compassionate. He did the most comfortable strep test ever. I don't think the MD even read the med tech's notes. He did the most cursory exam I've experienced in 50 years: He swiped the stethoscope quickly and lightly over my wool sweater (I was there for bad cough and sore throat, eye and sinus headache, and had had a high fever a few days earlier). The listening to my chest part took 4 seconds. He didn't look at my red throat. He inserted the ear exam instrument but didn't look into it and only put it halfway into one ear. At the end of the 60 second interation he said "Your strep test was negative. You don't need antibiotics. Do all the usual things for colds. Hydrate and gargle with salt water, and rest." Also the place pressures you to get expensive tests (flu, covid, strp, urine) that you probably don't need. Asked no questions and had a stoney face. A joke of an exam by a disinterested provider, who may be putting your health at risk. read more
