During the assessment appointment, she took the time to investigate my current condition thoroughly, she listened to my personal issues and then explained the process and the steps she was going to take very completely and patiently. I don't trust people very easily but her positive attitude and patience won me over and am I glad that I trusted her! I have followed her treatment plan which included several adjustments and an exercise plan. Dr. Anne is very thorough and professional, yet positive and friendly - not always an easy balance to achieve. Her office is very welcoming which includes her dog Mercury (I love dogs). The whole experience did NOT feel like going to a cold, sterile treatment clinic at all. I highly recommend Dr. Anne Bowness.

However Dr. Salidas has retired and a new dentist (Dr. Mersal) has taken over. The first time I was seen by the new dentist I was informed of three cavities that needed to be filled. I was told that one of the cavities would be $250 and the other two would be $200 each for a total of $650. I am retired and on a fixed income without benefits (the dentist was aware of lack of benefits) and $650 was more than I wanted to spend at one time. So I made an appointment to have the worst cavity filled for $250. When the dentist was filling the cavity I was informed that he would like to fill a cavity in the tooth next to it while I was already "frozen" and save a return trip. I agreed. When the procedure was complete and I was preparing to pay I was informed that I would have to pay more than the cost quoted. I was also told I still had two cavities remaining. When I questioned the increase I was told the dentist had to drill more than he expected. The cost went from $250 to $300. And the cavity in the the tooth next to it was one that he did not know about before (even though I get x-rays at the recommended times and had a check up three days previous). He charged me $230 for the newly found cavity. My expected $250 trip to the dentist just became $530. Not very nice for fixed income budget. So I have to wonder about the competence of this dentist when he could not use the x-rays to determine the extent of the original cavity and also not being aware of a cavity in the neighboring tooth three days after a check up.. Obviously I am now changing dentists and would not recommend this dentist to anybody. I need to trust my health care providers and I certainly cannot trust this dentist.

I had been to the doctor and to physio, and decided to try massage therapy. After the first session, I could feel the improvement, and with a session every couple of weeks over the summer Petr was able to extend the range of motion back to near normal.
