I saw the person behind me and they appeared to be slowing down so I wasn't too worried as I looked back to the front of me and waited a second for the person coming from the other direction to pass by me so I could make the left turn. Unfortunately the person behind me neglected to stop in time and before I saw what was happening I heard my 8 year old screaming and then a flash that I don't remember as I can't remember making the turn. The kid was 17 driving a large truck that was totaled by this accident. He got me at 35mph. I was completely stopped in my Ford Escape so the impact was rough. During the insurance process I got frustrated and upon someone's recommendation I hired this outfit. BIGGEST MISTAKE. I will be reporting them to the bar and doing my own investigations into what exactly they did. I only spoke to Mr Stepleton twice.. at the beginning and when he called to offer a ridiculous amount for ALL that was taken from me In This accident. He has an agreement with a chiropractor and it feels fishy. I was in a car accident like 20 years ago and they paid me as much as this man was rendering for a far more serious accident that triggered some PTSD, so much so that the attorney he sent to interview me at the chiropractors office noticed how unfocused and distracted and bouncing off the walls I was and literally asked if I had ADHD. Nope, dr diagnosed as PTSD being triggered from the accident. I was also treated for 20 chiropracticvisits.. months of back and neck pain and we had our daughter checked out. I wasn't able to start work, take a trip that was scheduled for 3 days after the accident and ended up paying more to fly due to my anxiety and PTAD from this accident. The truck was TOTALED and I didn't have my car for a month. When the attorney told me the number (3000$ or a bit more - he kept changing it) I was hugely disappointed and instead of explaining, he started blaming and shaming. He started reading my medical record to me (obviously he chose the embarrassing and humiliating stories of my life to further traumatize me) as if I didn't know what they said. My ptsd being triggered caused a lot of trauma and I had to switch to a more day experienced and new therapist. I tried to get questions answered about how much mental health care would be covered and nothing was ever got answered effectively. I DONT take advantage of people and since I have insurance I used it after the first appointment with the therapist. If I'd had guidance I'd have known I should have charged the car accident insurance... I'm picking up a service dog due to the trauma of this next month and I'm selling my condo that I JUST bought last august as I'm so fearful to turn into my complex. This accident affected EVERY part of my life and this attorney is ABSENT. You will only do yourself an injustice by hiring this practice. Don't hire anyone and you'd be better off. Hire anyone else and you would fare better. Do not hire him. Go anywhere else. I hesitated to write this before my case closes but this man is there to collect for himself and the attorney he sends out to ask if you have ADHD... and the lovely receptionist that I believe does the brunt of the work.. STAY AWAY... I recognize they will probably provide backlash to me for this but the accident has already taken so much and these attorneys lack of empathy, support or availability is truly awful and I would rather save someone else from this incredible disappointment. I mean I went on medication (which I abhor) and had never been on any similar type. It made me really sick and ruined a trip someone took me on... and .. the end. Don't use.. worthless group
