I had experiences with the Anne Arundel Crisis Response team about 15-20 years when dealing with a bi-polar teen. They would only "immediately" come out if police were involved, but then they still wouldn't arrive until after the police left. They leave their business card and say something to the effect "call us during a crisis". But when you call as an individual they don't respond until a few days later, After A Crisis! Was told late last year that the Crisis Response team has improved dramatically over the past few years. (Their business card is still placed in my house in plain view and their phone number still remains in my cell phone after all of these years.) Flash forward to the past month. I called twice (late Dec 2020 & last week of Jan 2021) because I needed help in defusing a situation. Was told they won't come out unless I called the police (I can read between the lines ... they want the police there so somebody can be arrested!). Was called back 2 days after the Jan call and was told once again they wouldn't come out until I called the police. The situation had resolved and we were not mid-crisis ... once again!. I told the caller K**** that I was not pleased with the lack of response and she told me I needed to "hash it out". Sorry to tell you, but you don't "hash out" a medical/mental situation! Needless to say, K**** is going to be reported for her lack of professionalism. read more
