This hidden spot with a beautiful courtyard that's quiet and away from too many people. The seats were extremely comfortable and gave off a very classy and refreshing atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable for the high quality of cocktails. A surprisingly nice selection of whiskeys offered. They even had the resources to smoke the glasses and it was very theatrical and entertaining. I'd highly recommend this spot to any whiskey enthusiasts. They did offer a lot of other spirits, but my heart is with whiskey. read more

This place was AWESOME! I love that they have a mixologist that serves up a specialty drink for you based on what you like... When I first walked it, it had the candlelight dim-lighting type of vibe and even though it was a busy night and we didn't have reservations, the hostess was able to make a table for us. As soon as I walked in, I saw a girl drinking from this IV bag w/ a metal IV stand. It was mini-sized as it was sitting on her table and was pouring the drink from the IV bag into her glass. However, I thought that was the coolest thing I had seen so far as drinks go. The bartender was able to get us some tasty drinks and was able to order me drinks that weren't too sweet or sour and were a little strong, as I preferred. We did have to move to a different table because they needed our table, as it could seat more people, however, the service there is remarkable. For having to move us, they offered us a fruit wine that was delish and on the house for the trouble of us moving (though it was the next table over and no trouble at all). Overall, this place was fun and classy. There were some people in there wearing the mask from the movie, V for Vendetta. Daniel was our bartender and he created the perfect experience for us. Fantastic speakeasy bar! You have to go through an unmarked door, then a bit of a corridor before you actually reach the real entrance of Anonymous Bar. I highly recommend making reservations (you can do this online but not for tables after 9pm) many walk ins were being turned away. The drinks are about 200-225 crowns each, which is a little pricier for the area, but I think it's worth it. Most drinks come with a gimmick - the flying fawkes is a pulled flaming tea where you can see a fire show at your table. Some drinks are served in wooden miniature dog kennels. There's also a secret menu - ask for the blue light, and you'll see drinks printed in UV ink on the menu. The decor feels like a medieval man cave - so, very fun. read more

This is one of the coolest bars I've been to. It has a really nice atmosphere with mood lighting and little nooks. Nice and cosy and not noisy. Order the 'remember' drink and they will give you a mask and take a polaroid of your group. Be aware the drinks menu is small. read more

This is probably the best and most unique bar that i've been to recently. I was there a week ago and thank to Yelp i found this place. The staff was really welcoming and were recreating the entire V for Vendetta theme. My bartender was Peter who was really efficient at making great drinks and great to talk to. The staff kept on pouring water to keep me hydrated (Something which you don't see often and is a great thing). I went for the hidden menu which you can uncover after ordering their first drink. The first drink was Rum infused with spices and other things which was quite splendid. The main drink was totally unique and wonderful creation. It felt really nostalgic that they made a drink with unique ingredients from India since i was visiting India in a few days from that night. This is a unique bar with its unique flair. They have a good staff and perfected what a different bar restaurant would be. If you are a tourist and do noir often goto cocktail bars then this is a place you should spend a evening. The reason for lower stars was the cocktail menu was very limited. They hav shake a dozen drinks that they have perfected. Creative but limited. I had a classic old fashioned. It was decent and not the best I have had. We sat at the bar and the bar tenders are bilingual. But they rarely chat with the patrons. Typically one would expect cocktail maestros to Interact with hire guests as part of the experience. Also the pours were smaller than typical bars. A wee bit more alcohol would make drinks better. read more

This place is pretty epic! It's unlike any place I've been before. Some reviewers have had sub-par experiences, but we had a great time! My boyfriend and I arrived a little early (around 20:00) and I think that might be the key to a successful visit. By the time we left (around 22:00) they were turning people away at the door. We started by walking down a candlelit path to knock on a big wooden door. The hostess answered and seated us. We ordered the drink to unlock the secret menu which was called "Vino Veritas" first. Off of the secret menu we ordered one of the strangest sounding, but most amazing drinks. It came in a wooden cradle with a pillow. My boyfriend ordered The Fifth of November and something with the word "gentleman" in it. V's Blood was also awesome and came in a blood bag! The bartenders and waitstaff were friendly and quick. Anonymous Bar is place I've heard so much about and recommendations from many people to visit while in Prague. It's a little difficult to find. It's in a small alleyway and it's hidden inside of a building. Try and ask locals around the area and they could help point you in the direction of it. We arrived on a Monday night. It wasn't super busy. I didn't make a reservation ahead of time but our group was able to be seated right away. It has a very classy and intimate ambience. Most of the employees wore anonymous masks. It's a small bar. We were seated upstairs at a table 4. The chairs were really awakened and we asked if it was fine for us to sit on the couches and it ended up being fine. I don't think the waitress was very happy with us sitting there but whatever. They have some handcrafted cocktails that were pretty cool! I ended up ordering the Mai Tai and came in a cute cup that looked like a tiki. It was super cute. We all enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere. They didn't have good beer options, but you could order a Pilsner if you wanted. This places is definitely for cocktails and liquor. However, I do think it was pricey but I think it gives off a classy vibe that it works for them. Every time someone ordered Absinthe, the dim the lights and they flame the drink. It was pretty cool looking. It's definitely a spot that is very chill, relaxing, and intimate. Definitely a place that should be checked out in Prague! read more

After reading some awesome reviews I knew I had to check it out. Don't make reservations through Yelp like I did. When I got there, they didn't get my reservation and said they don't use yelp even though I got a confirmation message from this Yelp account. Luckily they honored it after I showed them the message. I came in around 6pm. It seemed quaint and quiet. But, the longer you stay, the more surprises! This has to be one of the coolest bars I've ever been. I'll leave it at that! read more

What a cool find in the heart of old town! My sister recommended we stop here for a drink and we are so glad we did. Our first drink, we each ordered something off the menu. My husband got a manhattan type drink, and I got something delicious with egg white, my favorite. They were both absolutely delicious. Was a bit disappointed honestly. We got seated ata high top within 10 minutes but had to wait 20 minutes for a server to come over. They sat us at a hightop which was pretty uncomfortable so the sever said she'll put us at a table once one opens up. When a table opened up we asked if we could grab it and they told us no because its a 3 seater (it was just my wife and I). We told the server we would like to pay our bill and thats when she said it'll be okay for us to take the table.. drinks were good and presentation was nice. Well that was certainly an experience. AnonymouS Bar serves cocktails for crazy people. And I mean that in the best way possible. Recommended to me by a trusted friend, I bellied up to the bar at AnonymouS, somewhat prepared for the WTF experience I was about to have. Craft(ier than you'll find at most places in Prague) cocktails served up with completely insane presentation. "Secret" menus. Bartenders in masks. I don't want to get into too much detail, because I believe half the fun is in discovering just type of crazy-ass bar you've found yourself, and that reading up too much on this bar beforehand could tarnish the experience. Here's what I will tell you: A trip to AnonymouS is a feast for the senses, and while I hardly believe that anybody is a regular here, it's an experience you won't regret having at least once. Based on my three selections, they serve up good but not great cocktails, elevated by the just bizarro state in which they arrive. I enjoyed sitting at the bar because I got to see many more go out than I'd be able to ever consume in one sitting. The staff was friendly and know how to put on a show. The coolest cocktail bar I have been to. The bar is dimly lit and set up like an old Victorian study or library. It is a very intimate yet relaxed setting with a hint of mystery. The menu is full of interesting concoctions, some of which you have to search for a bit. They are presented and served in a variety of unique ways. So I spent a few weeks traveling the world in November and Prague was the second stop on the itinerary. Seeing that Prague is incredibly Yelp friendly, I instantly got my search on and sought out a bar serving some of the city's craftiest cocktails, which led me to AnonymouS Bar. It's easy enough to find in the city and they take schtick seriously here. Little details are implemented to heighten the overall cocktail experience, but they just seemed forced and a bit corny to me - even confusing at times. We were also seated at the back elevated table, which I believe removed us from what could have been a much better and interactive experience with the bartenders. On a future visit I'd most certainly sit at the bar where it seems the best connections and libations are made. All in all, none of us were really impressed with our drinks. Mine came served in some Davy Crockett type canteen and was poured into my waiting glass, but the presentation was really about the only memorable part of the drink. It was supposed to have an old aged leather tone to it, but I got none of that - all show, no substance. The prices were steep, service was slow and drinks lackluster. Maybe I come from a city that is swimming in high-end cocktail bars and I'm hard to impress, but I also feel that I am fair and sensitive to the surroundings that I'm in. This was, by far, one of the coolest bars we visited while traipsing around Europe. It's V for Vendetta themed and they take it very seriously, with Guy Fawkes faces everywhere and juxtaposed into famous paintings like the Mona Lisa. It's just as random and quirky as it sounds. Obviously, they play scenes from the movie too. The catch is that you have to buy an item (in this case, a sparkling wine or whiskey) to "unlock" the special drinks, meaning you're then given a black light to read those pages. It's pretty cool, and the special drinks are bomb. They were presented awesomely and my friend's drink ("Baby in a cradle" or something) came in a miniature cradle! Though there was a bit of a language barrier, our waiter was super friendly and helpful, letting us play cards and chill for a while as we drank the night away. It's also close to Old Town but feels so far removed; it felt like we were the only tourists there. read more

Notorious, Secretive and Elusive. Those will be the key words Notoriously... difficult to find. After walking up and down the same street several times, we noticed that this place was well hidden. Secretive... prepared drink's menu. 6 Blank pages that can be unlocked for reading when you use a 'key-phrase' which is hidden in the menu. Elusive... Even though many previous visitors commented that you should book, we visited on a Friday evening around 18:30 and stayed till 21:30 (ish) and hardly anyone was there, It fill out a bit later in the evening, but go early enough and you'd get the place to yourself. I'll add the element of surprise - a changing cocktail list. presented via a Dia Viewer. I ordered a cocktail based on the Hitman video game and I got one similar to an old fashioned with a red tie and...a replica colt .45 hand gun. Try THAT in the UK! (you'd get arrested most likely) Well worth a visit - if you can find it. read more

An Anonymous themed bar (think V for Vendetta meets 4chan meets everything else on the internet). The cocktail menu is composed of the classics on the left page, while the right is the 'anonymous twist' on the cocktail. We didn't go for any classics, but every twist was quite a pleasant surprise. It'll vary from one that comes in a blood packet and drips into your glass to another where you put on a mask and get a souvenir polaroid photo of your night there. The drinks themselves are very unique, and make the trip worth it. This is in addition to the wonderful music taste (they played a lot of Parov Stelar at one point), while V for Vendetta shows on the television. The bartenders and waiters were all a delight and seemed like they legitimately enjoyed working there. This place made for a magical first night in Prague, and it will be something I will always recall when I think of my travels there. read more

Went here with a big group of friends, and we had a good time trying to decipher exactly what the hell was going on at this bar. Our server's English wasn't the best, so we had a hard time figuring out if the first two "secret pages" on the menu would be uncovered if we ordered a particular drink or not. I had an espresso, which I will always appreciate European bars carrying when American bars do not. The rest of my group had a varying assortment of cocktails from their menu.
