Positives: it's a beautiful restaurant with nice staff. My friend ordered a veggie scramble. It was good. The potatoes were overdone and tasteless. I ordered eggs Benedict ( the one with tomatoes ). I sent the first one back as it had raw egg. The manager brought out the replacement meal. Someone in the kitchen needs to learn how to prepare poached eggs. They were deposited onto mushy tomatoes before being drained. Needless to say, not good. Our mugs of coffee were never refilled. 3 stars is probably a generous review. read more

Poor service. We waited 1 hour to get our food but people who came after us got served between 15-20 mins before we received our food. When our food came it was barely warm and my order was incorrect. Thank God my friend shared her barely warm eggs and slice of bacon... or I would have left hungry. Will not go back. read more

After church my husband and I found the cafe near the beach Although our names somehow got omitted from the waitlist Austin the waiter noticed and immediately rectified. From there we had a delightful experience with the unexpected menu starting with the Benes to the mango spinach salad with chipotle dressing. Yum yum . It makes no sense that one has to go inside the restaurant in order to be seated outside. Upon entering, there were half a dozen servers next to the cashier, standing around talking to each other. We were seated outside, and the server took our order. My husband's sausage was rock hard and looked like someone had taken a dump on his plate. Chip, Our waiter from Louisiana was not only a delight, but, well versed in the menu and on his suggestion I ordered the Popeye omelet that had baked bacon, fresh baby spinach, Monterey Jack cheese and perfectly scrambled eggs. Great spot for breakfast. Maybe the weekends are a different experience but both times I've visited during the week, I left satisfied and smiling. The wait staff are pleasant and attentive. My coffee cup was always full. Checked on me several times. Both times I ordered the Hey Lucy omlette and subbed egg whites. It's filled with avocado, chorizo, sautéed onions, green chilies and topped with Cheddar Jack cheese. I got the grits as my side. Delicious! Yet another horrible experience...had a issue with a really rude server in the Delray location a year ago and wrote a review and even called the location to complain and NEVER got a response. So never went back. I live nearby the Boca location and gave in and thought maybe it would be different. IT WAS JUST AS BAD. We walked up the restaurant and were greeted by numerous tables with dirty dishes and food on the floor at the outside tables. Went in anyway and were told we could sit at the bar with no wait. As we sat down, guess what...more dirty dishes. What makes it so frustrating is the young lady working today behind the Bar was more interested in having a conversation with the folks next us at the bar about her other favorite restaurants she didn't even greet or acknowledge us. Worst of all she was exceptionally rude. Not sure but I think I see pattern here. We walked out without ordering and traveled only a short distance to another restaurant and had a wonderful breakfast with really nice servers. Im confident I'll never get a response from the owner. This would be a 5-star review but I have to deduct one whole star. Let's start with the food and service - in a word - amazing. Great selection of seasonal dishes and outdoor seating is delightful. Pumpkin and spice-inspired creations complement the fall menu really well getting you in the holiday spirit. However the one flaw that they can't seem to get right is the coffee. It has to be the worst brewed in Delray. No amount of cream or sugar can save this terrible brew. So, get a mimosa with breakfast or stick with water - even iced the coffee is awful. Have been to another broken egg location and it was wonderful therefore I decided to give this one a go. Service was terrible. I went at around 1:30 when it was pretty slow and not busy. The waitress took FOREVER. I asked for water 2x and it took about 20 minutes let alone. I ordered smoked salmon Benedict and substituted fruit for the bagel (which the waitress said would at no charge). When i got the bill, i was charged an extra 3$ for fruit and when i spoke to the manager he said he can not do anything about it and he apologizes. Service is terrible and unprofessional.
