Had Sunday brunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe in Elkridge and we loved it! We had a party of seven that they easily accommodated. The staff was amazing. I was the first one there and asked the hostess if my party had added our name to the wait list (which can be done by phone), and the name I thought wasn't on the list. So I said I'd wait. A minute later the hostess came outside to find me and said we should put my name on the list, just in case. Wow! Thank You! The place was packed and busy, so having a place in line was a good idea. By the time my entire party arrived, the table was ready! Kudos to the hostess! The server was great, especially considering how packed and busy it was. Extremely friendly and helpful. One of our party was a woman with a disability and the server was so patient and kind, listening carefully to make sure her order was correct. One order was wrong (spinach in an omelette where spinach was explicitly excluded), and our server took the plate back immediately and in less than 5 minutes was back with the correct order! We were pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing. Most of us had some breakfast offering (even though it was about 1p.m.), while I had the Bacon Lover's ABLT. Everyone loved their food. Lots of omelettes were enjoyed. We also shared beignets that were amazing. Only two little quibbles, both of which could be due to the fact that the cafe was packed, with people waiting to get in. 1) It was rather loud. It was a bit difficult to hear others at times. 2) The food was a bit slow coming out. Because there were so many people, I do think these are quibbles. This was my 1st time in the establishment. I thought the place was nice and had pretty flowers on the outside. However, the service was not the best in my opinion. My server was super not attentive to the needs of the table. My breakfast order was not complicated at all. I requested a veggie omelet with Cheddar cheese, chopped ham and mushroom. It also came with on the side potatoes and an English muffin. It came with overcooked eggs, large pieces of mushrooms and the ham looked pulled apart. I was not going to complain and just eat it. But I could not because it also had another cheese in the eggs that I did not request. I sent it back and just request to make it a scrambled egg with the same things as before. So I tried eating on the other stuff. I asked for a hot tea with lemon and honey. She brought me hot water, a lemon, no honey, AND NO TEA BAG! The food came back out undercooked and I chose to eat off it a little. I told my friend I cant eat this. In fact I started to feel weird. Needless to say I had to excuse myself and I had to throw up. My family and I decided to try out a new place, it was Sunday. So it was busy, we were sat in the back. And left with no after service for almost an hour. We ordered, almost another hour to get our food. My wife's over medium egg was not cooked right. Our daughter's food was good, mine was good. Overall, the food wasn't bad. The biggest issue was how long it took from start to finish. By the time we got our food, it had been almost two and a half hours. If we are to ever go again, we would have to go during a time where there isn't a rush at all. The waiter was very understanding and helped us out as much as he could. read more

This place reminds me of home! I moved to MD from the South so I had high expectations. As soon as we walked into the restaurant we were greeted and felt welcome. All of the staff were helpful. The food was delicious and as ordered! The location is perfect, it is right off of Route 1 and easy to get to. There is still construction so you have to walk all the way around the building (don't use the side door for the patio), but it's not too much further to walk. We will definitely be back! I came here today for the first time, and everything was great. The restaurant has a nice layout. I ordered the Mardi Gras Omelet with an english muffin and potatoes and they were delicious. And I had a side order of the buttermilk pancakes. I had a cranberry juice and an ice water with these. My waitress was very helpful and brought me two take-home boxes for the generous proportions of food. read more

We ordered take out on their website, when I arrived to get the food half of our food was missing but the worker that packed our order made sure to grab everything that was missing. We ordered the shrimp and grits, lobster Benedict, crab cake Benedict and a couple kids meals. The food was very good but I just wished the packaging was in plastic containers and not paper especially for the shrimp and grits. Definitely will try again but will come inside next time read more

Great Food And Great Customer Service! Came in to pick up a to go order. There was some sort of mix-up and my order did not get processed.. Toni and Karl immediately addressed the error and got my order prepared quickly. With a full house they ensured that I received my order quickly and also provided me a cup of tea during the wait. The only thing that would make this Brunch spot more amazing is to have Mimosas & Bloody Mary's on deck... to which I was informed that cocktails would be available in a month. Decided to get a late breakfast today and once again it did not disappoint! The food is amazing but I truly believe the service is just as good!!! Our server was Sarah and she was down to earth, knowledgeable, and even though it was Wednesday (which is a slow day of the week, especially for breakfasts and lunch ANYWHERE) she took her time with us and gave us amazing service. Dined in on an early Saturday afternoon for brunch and was seated outside which was great. However, our server was very unfamiliar with the menu and ended up putting in our order wrong. She did not bring us any plates, napkins, water, or silverware. We had to ask multiple times and had to wait till our food arrived to get the requested items. Of course, the orders were wrong and we patiently waited for our server to come back and correct the mistakes. When she came back and we told her the orders were incorrect she replied to say "I don't know the menu" and walked away. She then proceeded to come back and take away the incorrect orders and said she would put in new orders. Minutes later, another food item arrived that again was not our correct order. When we finally got to speak to the manager to tell her about our experience, she was not apologetic and just informed us that we can pay for the one food item that we barely ate, but the other two incorrect orders she'd take off the check. The total was $18.54 and we paid in $20 in cash, but the change given was only a dollar. When asked where was the 0.46 cents in change, we were told that anything over 0.50 cents it's their policy that they don't give the change back, and right now they don't have any coins.......? I offered to pay for the check with card instead, since I wouldn't be given my exact change back but was told have a good day and motioned me out the door. Terrible service and unprofessional. Took forever for food to come out. My veggie omelet was very small and hardly had any vegetables in it. They also forgot the jack cheese I ordered in it instead of goat cheese. It took 15 min. to deliver my coffee I ordered right away. Awful potato side--just big chunks of fried potatoes--should be Hash Browns with eggs. My english muffin was hardly toasted and soggy. We were 4 of us and all the food came out just luke warm like it had been sitting waiting for pick up a while.The ambience is nice, waiter was pleasant and they have a very interesting and ambitious menu. The waiters are obsequious. The food is attractive and delicious. They have ample seating. You can check out the menu on line, which is a plus. Had a few friends dine here but they all commented that the service was slow/not the best and their food had come with errors/cold but we figured we would try it ourselves. Quick wait after joining the waiting list and checking in (less than 10 minutes), was sat at the table by the hostess and ended up waiting 30 minutes for a waiter/waitress and decided to notify the hostess to ask if we could have a waiter/waitress to our table to order. After ordering we waited another 30 minutes for our food and one of our breakfast entrees was incorrect so had to wait another 15 minutes for the food to arrive correctly. My wife and I visited this location after seeing it held a 4.2 stars review. I added our name to the list and was told a 30-45 minute wait by the hostess. After an hour I realized people that had arrived after us were being seated. I checked with the hostess for our place on the waitlist and she said we were sixth in line. After waiting another half hour I checked with the hostess again and she said we were next to have a table. I then watched as she picked up menus and sat a couple that had also arrived to put their name on the list after us. Two other tables were seated before us when we were told we would be the next table. A couple arrived once we had been waiting for a table for an hour and a half and it was obvious the male knew people who worked there. He kept asking to be seated once he arrived and had not added his name to the waitlist. He kept pointing at an empty table and asking to be seated there. The hostess kept looking at my wife and I knowing we were next. We were finally seated and that couple was seated immediately after us when it was obvious they weren't the next to be seated. It was also obvious we had been skipped in our wait because I saw people seated and eating when they arrived long after we had. There is an obvious use of favoritism that if you know the staff you'll get seated earlier than others. Once we were seated the couple from before had received service before we were asked for anything. We even heard another server tell their server to "take care of them". The male in this couple continued to send eggs back because they "looked fake because they were yellow". It seemed as if the server we shared was working at his first job and this poor guy was made to take back eggs three times before the male realized egg yolks are actually yellow. Our food was average at best. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits were clumpy and the amount of powdered spice used was excessive. My wife order the chicken biscuit and it held no flavor. The presentation of the food was rushed and sloppy. It also seemed everyone was doing everyone else's job with the hostesses serving food and the servers figuring out the ipad system. This is a lot to read, but, there was a lot of favoritism for service and unless you know the staff I wouldn't recommend eating here. read more

I've dined here twice and had a great experience both times. Today it was super packed, I managed to snag the last two seats at the bar. Despite how packed it was we still got our food very quickly and everything was tasty. By far the best omelet I've ever had and I'm a big foodie.
