The omelet does have the slightest bit of spice, so if you're sensitive, I would would compare it to a mild salsa. The grits were creamy, but you'll have to add your own salt and pepper. We stopped at Another Broken Egg in Melbourne on our way to a Mets spring training game, and it was such a great experience! Garrett immediately noticed we were NY Mets fans from our shirts and struck up a fun conversation -- which was such a nice personal touch since so many fans stop in this time of year. He surprised us with beignets to try, and they were absolutely amazing! The coffee was great, the food was delicious, and everything came out quickly. My wife and made our first visit to Another Broken Egg, yesterday. Will not be our last. Our waiter was eager to please without being overly so. We both ordered coffee, which was good. We both ordered the Country Power Bowl, which consists of, Scrambled eggs filled with country ham, onions and tomatoes over Cheddar Jack cheese grits. Topped with country sausage gravy. Served with baked bacon and an over-sized biscuit. The two bowls duly arrived, we immediatly decided to take on home and split the other. Pretty empty on a Thursday around 10am .Inside there's a combination of tables and booths with a nice modern look. I sat at the bar.The server greeted me and handed me three menus. The first two were a list of cocktails and coffee drinks some with alcohol. The menu had alot of traditional breakfast items plus lots of fusion and eclectic items. I ordered a coffee and pancakes with goat cheese,fresh blueberries and lemon zest with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs .Food arrive within 10 minutes. Bacon was super crunchy. The online waitlist check in is essentially worthless! We are driving to South Florida and planned ahead by joining the waitlist 1.5 hours ahead... we got there exactly 1.5 hours later and they told us it would be a 2 hour wait and that the online check in doesn't really mean anything... just know if you're trying to get a table here, they don't care how early you checked in. The host was not apologetic at all which made the situation worse (I know it wasn't her fault, but it would be nice to know someone cared!). My mom wanted to go out to breakfast, so I decided to take her to Another Broken Egg Cafe. It was easy to find parking and the rustic interior reminded me of First Watch, but I appreciated that their menu had more of a New Orleans flair serving items such as shrimp and grits, Mardi Gras omelet, and biscuit beignets. The later two options being the ones we ordered. Everything was made to order and tasted delicious. We also found our waitress, Ashley to be attentive to our needs. Although our dining experience was great, I noticed a few areas of improvement: My mom's decaf coffee was brought to her lukewarm instead of hot. However, they quickly reheated it. We had to request spoons to stir our coffee, brown sugar (which was not found on the table with the other types of sugar), and water. I don't know if their patrons don't normally ask for these things, but we had to request them and they were promptly provided. Enjoyed our breakfast in a mostly empty dining room on a Friday morning. The staff was very friendly and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We had 6 people in our group and they took great care of us. Everything showed up correctly and was tasty. They were very accommodating of my handicap friend who was with us and made sure we were in a comfortable spot and put his wheelchair somewhere out of the way. Another Broken Egg is a wonderful restaurant to visit. They often add new and exciting options to their menu. During this visit, my husband and I tried the Mardi Gras Omelette, Crab Cake Benedict, and the Blueberry Smash Mocktail. I enjoyed the bits and pieces of shrimp and crawfish in the omelette, I was nervous it was going to be too salty but it wasn't. You could taste the various spices used to make this dish stand out. I would order it again. I did order Grits on the side which was tasty, but I do think the cheese on top was excessive. The Crab Cake was mushy to me, but my husband was happy with it. The Mocktail was delicious. At first, it was a little on the sweet side but once the ice started to melt I was able to enjoy it more- the mint helped to balance out the sweetness. I have complained and complained about the sauce issues I had with ABE. I called corporate many times and now emailed CEO Paul M 2x regarding how I uber the food and fight over the sauce issues Mike the Manager said he would take the charge off on the order placed on the app to be Sent to the house! Never did! I called Mike on 2/26/25 to just remake my food and he did and I got home and finally got to my apple fritter .. there was 2 containers of sauce .. 1 container had 3/4 full off OiL.. I don't have a gallbladder and I dip my food in the sauce so I noticed by looking at it it looked watery or to oily.. I stuck my fork in it and saw all the oil coming off the top of it! Came in early morning with a party of 10. We were seated rather quickly. The menu is all day so you can order a cheese burger for breakfast! They also have a full bar! Mimosas are really weak way to start a long day of drinking. Way too much acid to switch the liquor later so we can just start on the good stuff. We had a variety of different orders. The French toast was a bit of a small portion but nothing to complain about. I would say don't bother with the stuffed French toast or any of the flavors get the standard. I did get the apple fritter French toast, and the apples were canned apple pie filling pie and just not enough there. So get the regular. If you're looking for a large portion the omelettes are definitely the way to go. The lobster omelet smelled Delicious and you could see the lobster on top of it. The cheeseburgers looked fully loaded with bacon and were not the smash burger but a standard delicious looking burger oh definitely try one of these. The service was really good, Food came up quick, The white stuff was paying attention and kept our glasses full. **UPDATED REVIEW** Ever since I learned that Another Broken Egg Cafe (which I will shorthand simply to Another Broken Egg) had a special menu that was made available only for a season, I checked online to see what said menu items were. At the time, the menu items that caught my eye was the Mediterranean omelette, which in short is an omelet emphasizing seasonings and ingredients prominent in Mediterranean/Greek food. In short, the Mediterranean omelette was fantastic. I also paired it with the brunch drink/mocktail/cocktail of choice with the meal, a blackberry smash mocktail. Which I will also include was fantastic, too. As a result, I wanted to try out all the menu items on the seasonal menu, which was for the Fall/Autumn 2024 season, as a means to see if Another Broken Egg would earn their fifth star for consistency. Spoiler alert: they earned their fifth star as every menu item on said seasonal menu was delicious, ranging from pretty good to downright fantastic! Before I continue, I must stress that all the effects of the prior review, with some nuances that really won't be much of a change, are still in effect. Please look to that review for a more well-rounded review minus the fifth star for consistency. But for today's update, I must stress that the fifth star for consistency was earned because of two things. First, all four meals including their accompanying drink were very good to fantastic. Second, the service was actually better as a whole, especially with Alex as my server/waitress. First, the food. Here is a list of each meal I had and the brunch drink/mocktail I had with them. Take note a detailed description for each menu item will be provided in my pictures of them, not in this update. 1. Gingerbread Waffle w/ Spiked Vanilla Cold Brew 2. Lobster Hash Benedict w/ Cabaret French 75 3. Tiramisu French Toast w/ Maple Spice Cold Brew 4. Mediterranean Omelette w/ Blackberry Smash Mocktail As mentioned, all of them were delicious. Probably the "worst" food item of the four was the lobster hash benedict as some of the flavors did not gel well and it was the priciest of the four. The "best" was definitely the Mediterranean omelette. Everything I wanted in a specialty omelette pertaining to a locale went into this creation. For the drinks, the "worst" was the spiked vanilla cold brew. It wasn't bad per se but for a "spiked drink," it actually devalued some of the flavor of the vanilla. "Best" was the blackberry smash mocktail. Definitely a lighter option but had all the wonderful flavors of a blackberry smash without the alcohol. There was still a kick as it had fresh mint and ginger ale. And to bring it all together, Alex was an amazing server/waitress, and even engaged in some conversation showing interest. I would expect that somewhat from the bartender, but to go above and beyond and still remember me right after an initial meeting? That definitely goes a long way. So ultimately, this branch of Another Broken Egg has earned its fifth star. Definitely give this branch a chance (as how it is right now) and I hope they take care of you as well as they took care of me, or even better. Ashley was my service pro for the meal and she was OUTSTANDING in every way a server could. The streak stands at seven. I asked Ashley for one Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich, an order of Shrimp & Grits, some Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast (because, did you see the name of that dish?) and a half order of Beignets. As Ashley retreated to place my order, I snapped a few pics of the joint and kicked back to await my Strawb....err, order. Based on the turnaround and presentation of said order, I would hazard a guess that the kitchen staff on hand was as pro in their duties as Ashley was in hers. I mean, look at that stuff! This brings us to our penultimate stop on our culinary journey through the menu of Another Broken Egg Cafe: the staggeringly beautiful Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast. Look at the picture. Look at it! French toast-style pound cake topped with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and crème brûlée sugar - how could this not be fantastic? This was literally divine and is highly recommended. I had to stop myself or I wouldn't have room for even one bite of the item yet to be sampled, their Beignets. I am a door dasher so I did not eat there and store appeared just. But I was mostly ignored while I waited a full half hour to get my customers food. I should have unassigned but I feel for the customer who might get even later service so I usually wait it out. BAD decision. You can be violated and lose you job for excessive delay in pickup. Even if it's the stores fault. Customers were noticing how long I was waiting and we had conversations. This led the manager coming to ask me to wait outside. She actually said door dash is not a priority and I said obviously. She also said pancakes can take 40 minutes wow. I felt all the food was over cooked. I got the biscuit and gravy with eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The biscuit was burned on bottom and dry. Sausage tasted burned like fried in old oil. The food I've eaten here was very good. I have no complaints at all. My only issue was with the bartender who at the time had a turkey on his head. I've been meaning to leave my experience here since I haven't been back since. I ordered the grand mimosa with the Grand Marnier. When he made my drink he literally just poured a pinch of the Grand Marnier in my glass. Not a half of ounce or an ounce. No measurement or anything. When I asked about the amount he's suppose to pour he explained " oh it's like over $100 for Grand Marnier and I've been bartending a long time I know the amount". Finally another option for brunch! I've gone to another location in Tampa and that was my first time trying this restaurant. The food & drinks were good so I was expecting the same for this new location. Since I came on Sunday, of course parking was very limited. Thankfully, I waitlisted so as soon as I found parking, I was seated within 5 minutes. The server quickly attended us, took our drink order, which was the amazing blueberry lemon mimosa pitcher. This was soo refreshing and not overly sweet! Went here around 11:30 am on a Saturday for brunch & was told there'd be about a 30 minute wait although there were plenty open tables. We probably waited a bit less than that though. The service was good. Our server was attentive and timely. The food was delicious! The omelet tasted fresh and was well-filled. The potatoes were well seasoned but not salty. My friend really enjoyed the s'mores waffle, but it's definitely sweet. My other friend also enjoyed her burger. She said it had a lot of meat on it. I should know better than to try a place on Veterans Day . I have never once been thanked for my service with a good experience. I understand it's busy and am fine being patient but our waitress Ashley seemed particularly overwhelmed. I am disappointed to see there's no teamwork aspect implemented, no one seemed to help each other. I ordered the salted caramel Kahlúa iced coffee. My husband had a regular coffee and when she asked our daughter what her drink order was, we informed her that she is autistic and nonverbal and ordered her a water. There was quite a lull between ordering our drinks and ordering our food, but again no problems there, didn't mind being patient. When we ordered our food, we asked for a half order of beignets to start. They never came. While we were waiting on our food , my daughter reached for something across the table and knocked my drink all over the place, my iced coffee spilled all over the table and under it and on my purse. I went to the bathroom to wipe my purse down, came back, and my husband was struggling with napkins to clean up the mess, it was very busy and no one was willing to help us. when I returned from wiping my purse down, I took my daughter to the restroom to clean her up as she had coffee on her shoes. When we returned from the bathroom, my husband was still cleaning with a rag and spray bottle. He had to find our waitress to give him the materials to clean the table. Not one member of staff offered to help. For our main, we ordered chicken and waffles, a side of biscuits and gravy, a side of toast and a side of bacon and I got the veterans French toast. I asked for my blueberries on the side they were on the French toast, there was no powdered sugar, but the waitress offered to correct that (I said it's fine). my husband's toast was not there, however and it took a while to flag our waitress to let her know we were missing yet another item... By the time it arrived the meal was nearly over and it looked like raw bread, not toast. The waitress assured us it was slightly toasted, but she could get it more toasted for us. We said never mind.. The food was OK but my sides were eggs and bacon and I really enjoyed dipping toast into the eggs so the fact my husband's toast never came sort of ruined one of my sides for me. It's a personal preference thing and overall the food was OK... nothing amazing. Also, when we got the syrup bottle, it was literally covered with syrup on the outside and super sticky. It's a real turn off, especially when you consider cleanliness.. it should be standard practice to wipe down the syrup bottles between tables no matter how busy you are. My husband said his biscuits and gravy were good. He said the gravy was very peppery and nice. My daughter killed the chicken and waffles. I thought the French toast was OK. I like mine a little more well done it was fluffy like a pancake. That's a personal preference thing, but it was hard to enjoy more than one piece of French toast because I pour a little syrup at a time and I didn't wanna keep touching the sticky syrup bottle. I understand things are busy, but I never once saw a manager, walking the floor and checking on guests, perhaps they were expo on the line but if so, you missed several things. I wish I had felt like anyone cared that our experience was terrible. I don't even think it's really Ashely's fault that our experience was so unpleasant. If there was more of a teamwork aspect and a supervising manager, whose presence was known, I think all of these hiccups could've been handled better. Ordered takeout from here today and it was awful when we got home. The bag and the containers were literally wet with condensation from the steam of the food I'm sure when it was first placed in the container hot. The takeout containers, although eco-friendly, I don't know how good they are for keeping food, fresh and warm. Also, my food was upside down in the bag so my pancakes with toppings on it were upside down and smashed. My scrambled eggs were like rocks. One meal came with three pieces of bacon, and the other one came with only two. Went at 10 am on a Thursday even though, they were not busy. The dining area felt like a walk in cooler. My husband asked for eggs over easy and he got hard yolks. Our hashbrowns tasted like they had been sitting in a warmer for hours, not fresh. They burnt the tortillas on the huevos rancheros. The wait staff was kind and attentive which was it's only redeeming quality. This was the second time we tried here and both times equally disappointed. Way too expensive for what we got. This place is kind of pricey. Two of us with pancakes, eggs, sausage, and two spiked coffees spent 50 bucks. I had the Bourbon Street Pancakes which has bananas, pecans, and a rum butter drizzle. I was pleasantly surprised that they put toppings between the pancakes. The pancakes were good, the eggs had zero flavor, and the apple maple sausage needed more spice. He got Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese pancakes he really liked them. I had the Vanilla Cold Brew iced and he had the Caramel Cold Brew hot.
