One of the best mystery/triller podcasts to date. Each week you be left wondering what the &$@k just happened. The show follows three hosts who are all a wonderment in their own right. Mike Coffey disappears to europe on secret projects, he also owns a "coffee" company.. trips abroad? secret projects? Coffee? it's all very strange, I don't want to give anything away but who is he really? And does he drink so much coffee he never sleeps? he does all of this under the guise of running a wood shop and leaves you wondering if he will show up from week to week. Daniel Dunlap is the sleeper in this group- literally he sleeps a lot- but don't count him out he fights against and exposes elitist corrupt corporations, he gives excellent reviews on finishing products with the best snap back hats and he frequently has awful luck building doors. He does all this whilst running a successful Etsy website. Peter Caspar is the glue that holds it all together- he is a lyrical genius who has weekly tales of mysterious creations- like amazing grabby things for rock climbers. He is also tasked with wrangling Mike, Dan and other guests on the show like Jackman who is a scary but a likable figure. To mix things up they also receive calls from multiple people asking questions- often from an interesting frenchman Thomas Saint George. Is there a connection between Mikes trip abroad and Thomas?? So many questions, so many mysteries... If that's not enough- they have a pre show that is a can't miss. There are often clues left in the preshow that if missed will leave you completely confused once again wondering what the $&@k is going on.. . ...and they also talk about woodworking. Started listening a while back during the saga with the furniture finish company that shall not be named. Since then I've taken it upon myself to formulate my own finish using beet juice as the main ingredient. My initial batch used 3 parts beet juice, 1 part jello, and Pam's Placenta that I've had in a jar in my cellar since 2012. That batch worked well, but Since Jim and Pam Filed a restraining order against me I had to look for other sources. My review is a true "phenomenon". After celebrating my birthday at a local bar I was struck by the first episode of awp while driving home. I woke up the next day in my woodshop with a thirst for more woodworking knowledge. I had to listen to more awp. By episode 15 I had gained the ability to do high level math and algebra in an instant. At episode 69 people were bringing me their broken woodworking projects to heal er fix. By episode 100 I was able to move a shop pencil with my thoughts. Unfortunately today I woke up with a tumor the size of a polish sausage attached to my brain. It was actually the long lost pilot episode of Another Woodshop Podcast. Since it was recorded in the early 80s, it was just DD singing his favorite hits into his Fisher Price recorder, but I will never forget that voice from heaven. Never stop singing. I recently tried this podcast for the first time last week and it was exquisite all around. The ambiance is modern yet homely. The service is friendly yet cold. For some reason the only thing on the menu is Tossed Salad but boy was it good.
