The scheduling and communication leading up to the appointment were excellent--specifically, I needed to coordinate between my condo HOA and Anson for insurance certificates and contractor's license. Upon request, Anson had no problem providing the necessary documentation. In addition, leading up to the appointment, I needed to make changes to the scope by adding a few additional outlets and a lighting fixture. They were incredibly accommodating and provided excellent value from the original quotation all the way through to project completion. The electrician, Matt, was extremely professional, knowledgable, and helpful throughout the appointment. I honestly wasn't sure about this company at first. I selected them based on their positive Yelp reviews and my initial email exchange with them was fantastic regarding the project I wanted completed. Then they were a no-show on the agreed-to appointment date. I wasn't very happy about the missed appointment and immediately thought "typical contractor" but I reached out to their office and discovered it was an honest mistake where my previous email thread on Yelp regarding the appointment time didn't get on the schedule with the front office. Teresa was very quick to rectify the situation and was able to get an electrician out within a couple of days and even offered me a 10% discount for the inconvenience. Great customer service and an immediate solution. I have now used Anson Electric twice and both times the electricians did a great job, they are friendly, honest, show up when they say they will, and their prices are fair and reasonable. I needed some electrical work done at a Santee condo, and requested a quote from Anson Electric. The owner, David, came out and I was impressed from the start by his honesty and knowledge. I decided to go with Anson Electric, and Matt and Daniel did a great job installing a new Square D power panel in the unit, rewired two ceiling fans with 3-wire, installed Alumiconn connectors on outlets and switches with aluminum wiring, and identified and corrected a couple of other issues with my approval. Their admin, Teresa, was also an absolute pleasure to deal with. Prices were fair. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend. This review should really count for two reviews, as my neighbor also used them for similar scope work (much of which was required by our HOA and insurance company for code compliance) and she was equally impressed with Anson Electric. read more

I had two issues: I needed a new transformer for a doorbell and an outlet repair that wasn't working. The experience was good from the first phone call - Teresa was very helpful, answered my initial questions and provided estimates for the work. The Electrician - Matt - arrived on time, assessed the work required and explained what he would do. And then he did it - no fuss, no mess, no hassle. I particularly liked that he replaced the switch for the outlet (which we did not need) with a flat plate as part of the job. At the end I asked him questions about other potential work and, refreshingly, he did not try to up-sell but instead explained the different options and recommended that the work in question did not need to be a priority right now. Over the years I've identified favorites for each vendor type (plumber, HVAC, etc.) but never found an electrician that I wanted to have as a saved contact - until now. This is gonna be another epic review. We were required to replace our out of code Zensco electric breaker panel and after looking at numerous quotes, decided on Anson Electric. From the initial contact with Teresa through the site walk thru with Matt and after 7 weeks of waiting on SDGE, I am thoroughly impressed with the final product. Teresa's ongoing communication was extremely good and helped build my confidence at the onset. Matt guiding me through the steps required to secure an SDGE work order and his 'heads up' that they were slow to react kept any frustrations at bey. From day one when Daniel arrived to do the prep work, I was greeted with incredible professionalism from a worker who guided me through the next phases of the work. The next day both Daniel and Erik worked in some pretty intense heat to complete an absolutely incredible job as seen by the attached photos. Finishing up the stucco work that all other companies in the multiple bid packages would not do, was Jose. This was where my greatest worries were. On his ability to perfectly match the stucco. I needed to have my electrical panel replaced and moved and among several different quotes we went with Anson Electric. The same day of the request Matt came out and gave us an estimate. I had what I thought was a relatively simple request: To update 2 can lights in an outdoor covered patio. The existing can lights had 4 pin G24 sockets. I needed to have them converted to E26 sockets so I could add screw in smart LED floodlights. What I received was a tech who was clearly unprepared to finish the job correctly. He had the wrong components for this job to begin with. After a trip to the supply house and struggling for over 1 hr. to finish 1 of the 2 lights, the tech had to leave for his next job. I was left with 2 capped wires and no fixture left dangling from the patio ceiling and 1 light that wasn't even started. I decided to move forward with a different contractor, who replaced both can light housings + trim kits + smart LED floodlights in about 45 minutes. Now in Anson Electric's defense, David and Theresa both handled this situation well and apologized for the less than optimal customer experience. I truly appreciated this. read more
