Upon landing in Masai Mara in western Kenya for a weekend safari my business associates and I were met by two ladies one a native Masai who would be our guide for the weekend and the other a plastic surgeon Antela Arjona Murube from Sevilla Spain who arrived on another aircraft moments before ours and like us, was taking a short Safari before returning home after volunteering in Nairobi for surgery on a woman who was disfigured in some kind of an attack. Antella joined us for one of our Safaris, dinner under the stars, and watching Masai wariors sing and dance. I hope for the opportunity to meet her again some day as I enjoyed our conversations. I can attest to her good eyesight as surgeon from her ability to spot a serval (see photo) asleep on the side of the road. A serval is a cat with the coat of a leopard. read more
