Worst hospital in the Antelope valley, this place is a complete joke. Came in because I had a real emergency all they did was do blood work and ultrasound and then had me wait over 5 hours in the Waiting room. Not only was I already discharged I had to wait another 2 hours to get my paperwork. This place is a complete joke. Never will I come here again for any emergency. I rather drive the hour to the valley to Kaiser Panorama City. AV do better honestly you will cause someone to have harm or cause a serious injury due to the lack of patient care and lack of medical attention. All in all I can't complain about the service i received once I was moved to the floor but the emergency room was the worse experience ever. There was a nurse Alyssa who could not do an Iv for the life of her. She kept moving the needle around and trying to suction blood out then pumping it back in. No matter how many times I told her she was hurting me she swore she could do it. She left me so bruised in less than an hour and she was the only one. She got upset that I asked her to stop. They did take a long time to get things done but I loved the nurses up in the second floor they were very polite and tentative which is why I'm giving them two stars but all in all would not want to go back unless absolutely necessary. read more

I had taken my brother there because he was having thoughts of harming himself they didn't offer any help they kept him in the waiting room for over 6 hours and he started to get a lil stir crazy and restless, so he started acting, belligerent and out of hand and they wanted to try to restrain him and take him to the PINK ZONE.. then when he gets to the PINK ZONE he's yelling screaming and cursing they told him if he doesnt stop they they were going to escort him off the premises. I'm not sure if this is the proper procedure. They take when a person is threatening to take their own life, I can see why they just do it. read more

I was a First time patient at the AV hospital was rushed to the er by ambulance. I was beyond surprised at the Fast Doctors care I received in the ER and by the Nurses. I had to be admitted and they gave me a room within the 3 hours I was in the er. Again amazing service per my wife as I was in a death situation. Once I was moved up to pcu again the Doctors from kidney, general drs Rashid and Dr. Avetisyan and the Nephrologists Dr Nabaly I think his name was that saw me were alll amazing. Took time explained everything to us sat down with my wife and I and I'm truly beyond thankful for their care!! Thank you all!! What I personally observed during that visit was nothing short of unacceptable. She was placed in a gown and left waiting for over three hours--without food, water, updates, or any acknowledgment from staff. This wasn't secondhand hearsay--it was my direct observation as I waited alongside her. Eventually, someone from the nursing staff informed us--casually--that there would be a delay. No apology. No explanation. My mother, already fasting and immunocompromised, was left anxious, weak, and uncomfortable. The lack of urgency and basic empathy from the staff was glaring. What makes this worse is that my original Yelp review--based entirely on this firsthand experience--was removed. Yelp's reasoning: "it wasn't clear that your reviews described your firsthand experience as a customer of the business." That's flatly inaccurate. I was there. I saw it. I lived it. To suggest otherwise is not only dismissive, but silences real accounts of poor care that other families deserve to be warned about. The care my mother received fell far below what any patient, should expect. We had a good experience here today. I thought my toddler had swallowed a toy, and came into the ER at noon-ish. Everyone was very kind, even as frazzled as I was. We were taken back quickly, and checked on multiple times while waiting for results. The xray tech was great and even let my toddler see the xray. While waiting for discharge, a woman was walking around handing out coloring pages and crayons to kids while they wait. We were in and out within 2.5 hours. The waiting room is a little outdated, but the beds in the back were clean and private enough. Overall a good experience. read more

To my surprise, I walked out and found a violation notice on my car and happened to call when I got home that took me like an hour and a half. I don't live around there and when I called and spoke to Sealy security officer, he couldn't help me transfer into a voicemail, which was Delilah, very knowledgeable and helpful and resolving my violation and informing me what I needed to do or how to handle this I really appreciate that I had a long night and day and to come find out I have a violation or ticket on my car. My sister was in ICU is still in ICU. She's been there since 29 February. I just wanna say Del handled it very professional in assisting me in resolving this issue. Violation date was March 3. The last couple of months I have battled a kidney stone, sepsis, and diverticulitis. Each time I have had to go to the ER I was treated with respect and kindness. I was well taken care and I never saw anyone else treated badly either. I feel this hospital gets a bad reputation because of where it's located but as for me I will highly recommend it if you need to be seen right away. They really do care and they do the best they can. read more

I would not have put any stars this ER is horrible! The most nasty place I've been in! The poor nurses that have no choice but to work here! I had to come here because I'm super sick! They really need help with the lazy and rude security guards at the front, and the receptionist! I was discriminated and hushed like a child! This place is a joke! I can't walk and my spouse wasn't allowed to enter however there were several others here with their spouse! I've been here for more than 6 hours and some people have been here 12 or more hours! I was informed that I as a Traveling Journeyman Wireman, I should contact My Primary HMO about any concerns and that I was informed that I'm perfectly fine. You can literally be dying from pain and ask what the waiting time to be seen by a doctor their answer would be idk that's a lack of professionalism. any other hospital would say yes waiting time is about 30 min to an hour. This hospital should be shut down. My father experienced a stroke and was brought to this hospital. At the time he was actually an employee. So of course like all hospitals when their own workers are hospitalised, they are VIPs. From the moment we arrived the entire thing was a disaster. The emergency room shouldn't even exist at this place because they don't have a clue what they are doing. From regular nursing staff to doctors we were consistently spoken down to, told we didn't know anything about our father and just struggled to get any type of assistance from the staff. The man behind the curtain next to us had to change his wife and all of her bedding three times and could not get one of the ER staff members to assist him. At one point one of them simply showed him where to get the items he would need. From there it just gets worse . While in a heightened anxious state, my father was unable to do a necessary MRI . So they knocked him out . They put him on a breathing tube and then we could not wake him up. Once upstairs and out of the emergency room and in intensive care, we spent an entire day attempting to wake him up, poking him and prodding him all at the advice of the Doctor Who was managing his care. So imagine our surprise when two days into our stay the stroke doctor arrives and is absolutely appalled that we have been trying to wake him up. The revolving door of doctors and nurses continued. We were constantly probed on insane questions such as "does he use cocaine?" Alarming to hear seeing as he's their employee. We had nurses who couldn't be bothered. We had a nurse that spoke to me like a child after she failed to inform us that she was going to be taking him to remove the ventilator. The Doctor Who removed the ventilator had not read Our father's chart, had no idea how long he'd been on the ventilator, and removed the ventilator without knowing our father had pneumonia. then the nurse who was supposed to stay with him didn't. During that period where my father lay hunched over in bed alone struggling to breathe the nurse explained away why she doesn't HAVE to call anybody to let them know they're taking him off of a form of life support . Then while in the room the doctor decided my father didn't have any idea what was going on., that It was actually fine but of course now we need to reinsert the breathing tube. I am the younger sibling so I needed to call my older sister and at that point while hovering over my father the doctor had a very condescending conversation talking about how our dad's failing to thrive and asking my sister do you want me to do everything I can to save your father? Even though we were not in a pull the plug situation. It absolutely doesn't get better after this either . We finally get moved to another department when my father is awake and no longer on the breathing tube and we've already had to have a meeting with the hospital administration because we have doctors coming in daily asking us why we made such and such decision. decisions my sister and I , who are not doctors , were simply doing what we were told by the doctors " treating" our father. You think since he was an employee of this facility and they want to keep dropping the term VIP things would've gotten easier at some point -wrong . We couldn't get these people to fill out the disability paperwork. When my sibling asked the doctor about it because obviously our father would need to be getting paid he stated perhaps we should start a go fund me.. honestly, if your family member could die in a parking lot, they'd be better off than going to antelope Valley . Both of my parents have worked in the medical field for my entire 36 years of life. The negligence, the disrespect, the constant inappropriate questions and behaviour of the staff at this facility is truly disgusting.. I highly recommend taking any family member to any other location no matter how far the drive. It's more likely that antelope Valley will kill your family member then save them. read more

I will advise you to go to Palmdale regional before antelope Valley although all the hospitals in antelope Valley are horrible if I had to choose between the two, it'll be Palmdale regional it's more clean. The staffs are more pleasant. The intake is more welcoming. The security guards are more respectful. The nurses as well as the doctors seems a lot more open and communicative with patience so five stars. antelope Valley Hospital needs to be reevaluated. It need to be investigated and a lot of staff need to be either retrained or let go because they treat their patients sick people elderly people it don't matter who you are. They will treat you like Dirt. they will talk to you like Dirt and they will take forever on helping to get you in and out as soon as possible like Palmdale regional Dude if you're sick, you're sick but if you're not then you're out. They have homeless people coming in just sitting around. They don't tell them to leave the security. Just don't say nothing. Just walk right by him. These people are loud obnoxious doing nasty things and it's like a security or afraid to say something staff will have to be told for them to do something. It's a germ infested scenery the emergency room you will need an emergency if you go there with just a common cold. Just read everyone else complaints. This hospital needs to be shut down and re-made over from the floor to the ceiling to the staff that it employees.. ... there is a nurse that was very helpful to a lot of people that I noticed, and she were very kind and gentle, and it seemed like she was just a genuinely nice helping person, and her name is Kirsten. Why everyone else walked around sick people she tried to help and get them to help. They needed it as well as myself when I sat in that emergency room with an infection that was killing me for over 4 hours without being seen. She went to the back and I felt she wasn't never coming back like the rest did without telling me anything. She came back with the help I needed. I hope that there's something done about this because this hospital has a lot of lawsuits against them. Whoever this may help, just know if you still decide to go there protect yourself with a mask and don't touch anything my four year-old cop feet and mouth at that place.... Worst and most traumatizing experience i've ever had! My water broke and I immediately rushed to the ER. They had me waiting while my pants were all soaked. Once they called me into the rooms where everyone waits until they get assigned with a room - I was in there waiting for 24 HOURS to get assigned a room meanwhile having women around me screaming and yelling how freaking traumatizing! They didn't put any IV's in me to start inducing me. I left the next morning because the nurse stated I wouldn't have a room until 3PM! What?! I got to the hospital the night before at 7pm so your telling me I'm just going to sit here and risk my babies life meanwhile with no IV's in me or nothing monitoring me and my baby? I ended up leaving and let my doctor know that I am originally assigned too in Santa Clarita the situation that was going on they were in complete shock and told me that I needed to leave right away so I signed my liability form and rush to Santa Clarita. I made it to Santa Clarita and within minutes they rushed me into a room starting inducing me right away but because from the VERY beginning they did not start to induce me at THIS hospital when I arrived to the AV hospital I didn't delivery my baby 3 days later!! This is my 1st review for any facility. I created this account just to be able to explain my experience. No one typically goes out of their way to leave good review. I want the hospital to know how secure and helpful their staff has been to my situation! I went in for a laceration to my shin. I was assisted by the best staff that I could have ever asked for. They distracted my mind, kept me laughing regardless of the pain and discomfort I felt. They answered all of my questions and kept me calm during the process. Not everyone has a good experience but not all should be recognized for the fault of others. I'm truly grateful for those who've assisted me and I wish to have remembered the names of those who were involved.
