I knew right away it was more than just a sprain, but I continued playing on it for two years. Over time, the pain became unbearable. I started to believe I'd have to live with it permanently, which took a serious toll on me mentally. Finding the right specialist felt uncertain, and I was skeptical anyone could truly fix it. That changed when I met Dr. Randall. I had surgery, and just six weeks post-op, the pain that I lived with for years is gone. For the first time in a long time, it feels like I'm not going to deal with that pain again. I'm extremely grateful. Dr. Randall gave me my quality of life back. G-d bless her--she's an exceptional physician who saved me from a lot of long-term pain and suffering. Thank you.

At the first appointment, the doctor examined my son, prescribed physical therapy, and ordered a custom nighttime brace to keep his feet at a 90-degree angle while sleeping. The problems started immediately. We were initially double-charged for the office visit, and it took more than a month to correct the billing error. We were also told our insurance would cover a significant portion of the brace, but after the order was placed, we were informed that a staff member had made a mistake and failed to account for our deductible, leaving us responsible for the full amount. A few days after my son's feet were scanned, the office called to say they had lost the scans and we had to come back for another appointment. After the second scan, they called again to ask whether the brace was supposed to be for one foot or both. The doctor also prescribed physical therapy. I contacted numerous pediatric physical therapy providers, but none accepted children my son's age. When I asked the office for guidance, I was told the doctor would recommend another provider. That never happened. After waiting another month, we finally received what was supposed to be the custom nighttime brace. It wasn't. It looked like a simple shoe brace with no straps to hold my son's feet in the prescribed position. When I called and went for another visit, the doctor initially tried to convince me that this was actually better than the brace she had prescribed. Only after I insisted did they agree to remake it. Then came weeks of delays and conflicting information. Every time we called, we were given a different explanation. One person said we had already picked it up. Another said it had been sent back for correction. Then we were promised it would be ready the following week. None of those promises were kept. By this point, we had lost confidence and sought a second opinion from another pediatric orthopedic specialist. After examining my son, that specialist told us that, in their medical opinion, he did not need either the prescribed physical therapy or the brace. Finally, after more than FIVE MONTHS, we picked up what was supposed to be the corrected custom brace. The doctor didn't even come into the room to check the fit or examine my son. We were simply handed the device and sent home. When we got home, we discovered something that perfectly summed up our entire experience. Both braces were made for the RIGHT foot. Not one for the left and one for the right. Two right-foot braces. After five months of delays, repeated mistakes, conflicting explanations, and a device that was not usable, we ultimately chose to stop the process. We were told that a partial refund could be issued, and we received back approximately half of the amount we had paid. Even with that refund, the experience left us without a usable brace and with months of our son's treatment time lost. ***Update after the doctor's response*** The doctor's response still does not address my main concerns. My son was not supposed to receive an AFO in the first place. We specifically chose a nighttime brace because he attends preschool and we did not want his walking or play to be affected unless absolutely necessary. If the final solution was simply an off-the-shelf night splint with no right or left side, why were my son's feet scanned and why was I charged $550 for what was presented as a custom orthotic? I also find it disappointing that the response emphasizes how the staff "worked tirelessly." They spent that time correcting their own repeated mistakes. Fixing those mistakes was part of their professional responsibility, not a favor to my family. What is still missing is a simple acknowledgment and apology. P.S. Despite receiving a partial refund, I was still charged over $200 for a device that appears to be a generic night splint available for around $15 at Walmart. My experience with Dr. Longo and the entire staff at Dermatology & Aesthetics has been nothing but great! For them it's not about up selling, it's about their experience, knowledge and providing high quality care. Last year when I noticed an unusual, grayish tinted spot on the bottom of my chin bone that kept growing. I knew I had to get it checked out. It turns out I had a cyst and Dr. Longo removed it, it was benign. No scar. Yay! Dr. Elizabeth is very knowledgeable and thorough in her exam and consciences. She explains diagnosis and recommended treatment in layman's terms. The entire staff at Dermatology and Aesthetics is very friendly and caring. As far as I am concerned, it's a win, win for me. I am truly grateful that I found them. Thank you Dermatology & Aesthetics!

I realize now that handing me off to a PA should have raised a red flag. The glaring problem is the front office management. This practice is poorly run and they have no respect for patients' time - they simply don't care. Today I drove an hour in traffic and arrived 7 minutes late. I was told first that because I was late there was not time for the PA to conduct the exam, then I was told the PA was pulled into "emergency surgery." Neither of these explanations was plausible. Furthermore, on previous occasions I have remained in the waiting room for excessively long waiting times. What is obvious is that they overbook because they have too many patients and it results in bad medical care. So today, after wasting 2 hours driving, I am leaving Dr. Dye's group to find a practice that has respect for their customers. If you have options I recommend you look elsewhere for dermatological care.

I went for a whole body scan and to see if any of my moles were a problem. They took a biopsy of one and it came back malignant. Dr. Dye gave me a nice 1 1/2" cut to take out a basal cell carcinoma that was small and contained on my stomach. It's common and doesn't spread so I guess it's the best kind to have if you're going to have any kind. The assisting nurse said that he's like a plastic surgeon he's so good. Well, two weeks later the stitches were removed and what was left behind was a really ugly keloid. I don't get keloids. I bought their silicone scar reduction product and used it religiously and it didn't help the scar. I went to a plastic surgeon who will take care of it for about $1500. That plastic surgeon gave me a cortisone shot which minimized it and made it less red but only temporarily. I also had to come back to get leftover stitches removed because I was feeling something sticking out of my chest and it was more thread that wasn't taken out the first time. I wish I could sing Dr. Dye's praises but my experience was not an end result from a doctor whose work is like a plastic surgeon. What I was given was something left behind for a plastic surgeon to fix.
