We expressed interest in a property to Mia directly, but then received a call from an assistant. I had to ask them to have Mia call us to confirm that they were in fact who they were stating. The assistant was late arriving at the property, and did not give us a courtesy call to let us know. We had to call her to make sure she was coming. There are numerous other inconsistencies in what was communicated to us about their process that I won't go into. We specifically asked if the credit check would be a "soft" or "hard" inquiry. To which the assistant replied, "what is that? I've never even heard of that." WE then explained to her the difference between the two, and asked her to get back to us with an answer. She informed us that it would be a "soft credit" pull. 2 days later we check our credits reports only to find a hard inquiry. Mia and her team tried to back-peddle, and even made up a story of speaking to us saying she told us, "she was not sure if it was a hard or soft inquiry, but she believe it was a soft inquiry". IN FACT, she never spoke to either of us about this. We only spoke to the assistant. After getting her to admit we never spoke about this item, I then asked her to provide a "letter of removal" for us to submit to TransUnion to remove the inquiry from our credit reports. I explained that I would need her to mail them to me because we would require the original copies, not just the scanned copies she sent me. All I received was a reply stating, "I have done all I intend t do here. Enough time has been wasted by all." Mind you... we have already paid the application fee of $55, but we decided to not move forward with the property because we didn't feel comfortable dealing with her and her team. Even after lying about her mistake and being called out on it... she still persisted to be worst professional we dealt with in the Houston Real Estate Market.
