AK Steel domestic appliances cametomy housetochangs a thermocouple on a gas cooker.It is a one man…read moreoperation.He charged £25 to look at the cooker ,it took him under 5 minutes.He left taking a picture of the name and model no, which I did too. I found the part from the numbers on the back of the cooker for£20.He told me on the phone that the cooker wasn't what it said on the back and he had contacted Smeg to find the correct part.The part he installed was the same thermocouple but charged me £30.He returned to fit the thermocouple and left charging another £30 so now total£85.tThere was a screw left out which as he was in such a hurry to leave he coudn't be bothered to find where it came from. 4 days later I rang him as the fan in the oven now rattled, which it did not before he installed the thermocouple.NoreplyI rang him 2 days later , noreply . I text him at least 3 times , noreply , Finally I reverted to using a friends telephone,He answered straight away ! When He realised it was me, He acted sheepishly.I asked him if he would come back and he replied no ,I was furious and put the phone down. Avoid this Man at all costs.He likes money and he does an appalling job
