Whitelyes treated it with the utmost care, and it came back looking absolutely pristine - the colors were vibrant, and the fabric felt incredibly soft. They even managed to get out a stubborn stain that I thought was permanent! The alterations service was equally impressive. I had a pair of trousers that needed to be shortened, and the tailor did a fantastic job. The new hemline was perfect, and the stitching was so precise that it looked like they came that way. I have used many dry cleaning and laundry services around the world, and level of service typically ranges from poor to acceptable. However, when I first used Elias in Hampstead, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that excellent laundry services really do exist! My shirts were lovingly cleaned with special attention paid to my collars and cuffs, which often get battered during a long day in the office, but after their first visit to Elias, they all looked as good as new! Remarkably, Elias had managed to remove stains and marks and had persisted for years as 'untreatable' by other services, putting new life back into my clothes. They also added small, unobtrusive barcodes to my shirts so that they could be processed more quickly on return visits, saving me a lot of time when I drop them off. I have now had shirts cleaned and ironed there over 100 times (I have a lot of shirts!) and I can say without hesitation that this is the best cleaning service I have ever experienced anywhere in the world - even compared to those my clothes have had in five-star and six-star hotels. The owner, Roxy, is a star, who clearly cares about her customers and takes her business very seriously; she and her staff are consummate professionals.
