The pizza is just ok, sadly the coal fired oven is clearly wasted on standard pizzeria ingredients versus true Neapolitan style pizza. I have never experienced a pizza so delightful as coal fired pizza. Here was my first time ever trying this oven style. The pizza here is so good. It makes me want to come back daily. Even a plain cheese is a savory treat. The salads are delicious here as well especially because they add chickpeas on top. The atmosphere is a little bit darker which is a good effect. There is wait service at the door and if they are available, they will open the door for you. They make a great martini as well as offer a craft beer selection. It was busy, my wife and I waited about 20 minutes for a table at 12:30 pm on a Sunday afternoon. We shared a lunch salad (lettuce, olives, chickpeas, onions, with Italian dressing and two pieces of bread) and a small Meatball & Ricotta pizza. It's unusual that they don't have fountain sodas -- everything is bottled. I was surprised that my coffee was $3. They have a nice NYC-style atmosphere, a small bar and the waitstaff is very efficient & friendly. A nice selection of classic rock plays overhead and they have plenty of TVs playing all sorts of sports channels. I was really looking forward to this pizza but was pretty disappointed. It was very bland, no flavour. I'm not sure what kind of mozzarella they use but it seems very low quality. Can't remember the pizza name but it had mozzarella, tomato and basil on it. The tomato was extremely thick slices and made the pizza soggy/watery. The one half of the crust was burnt which I was actually ok with but it shows they probably don't turn the pizza while it's being baked. read more

My husband has eaten Anthony's at another location. The idea of crispy thin pizza doesn't appeal to me but a great meatball sub does. We went on a Sunday after church. They have a fun old Hollywood/ Italian decor, a good drink selection and a good menu. I got the meatball sub and it is hands down one of the best meatballs I have had. Went for dinner here with my girlfriend. We were enticed by the cauliflower topped pizza. The service was prompt and courteous. I was disappointed by the ice tea served in a bottle, since it was a sit down restaurant. Once we received the Cauliflower pizza, which smelled and looked fantastic, we found that it was very spicy and inedible by most people from the Western Hemisphere. First the good: this place is probably a solid 2-3-Star for food and service. Average to below average pizza, service, and selection of drinks beer. Absolutely nothing to write home about, but would probably be somewhere low in our normal rotation list. Of note,when I asked our server last night about a beer list she said she could tell me all of them and started listing them. Later, I noticed a board on the wall listing a lot more, three of which I would have chosen over the one I ordered... The BAD: Beyond the general mediocrity of this place, it really fails in a key area by seeming to sit any party with senior citizens in the back left corner as one faces into the restaurant. I've noticed this before there when joining my parents for dinner and even joked about it in the car on the way over in Saturday evening. Sure enough, we were seated second to the last table in back corner. The 5 closest tables to us were all senior citizens, and some turned over to other senior guests while we dined. Not a single table with seniors in the rest of the place. We joked about it with our waitress and actually mentioned it to a "manager" who seated an older couple next to us and patronizingly asked us how everything was. They both of course denied it and feebly said something about just a normal rotation by server, but it is obvious now from my last three visits what's going on... At almost $70 for a large pizza (4 toppings), 2 beers, 1 sangria, and tip there are much better options nearby anyway. read more

I have been to other locations before, and love going!! We came here an hour before closing and was not rushed at all! The server was great! The chicken wings were delicious along with the caramelized onions added on top!! I wish we ordered more. We had half a meatball and ricotta pizza and the other half was Paul and Young Ron. Placed a delivery order when called to ask questions about why it wouldn't let you exchange items that are normally known to be equal or sometimes even less when it comes to the cost of those items because you liked the pizza but some of the items were not as good as others got huge attitude and asked if it was possible to speak to a manger about how we were being treated were told the manger/managers were too busy to come to the phone and they are going to tell the same thing as I'm letting you know now. Then get hung up on get our delivery and like we thought because of the response we received from the person we spoke to in the phone it was nothing like we had gotten before it was super burnt and after seeing it was not even sealed we had to throw everything away because not only was it burnt to a crisp but the delivery driver also had eaten or at least removed a slice of the pizza from each of the boxes. Would never recommend after our recent experience especially when getting three pizzas plus four pieces of cheese cake for dessert it was my friends birthday and she really loved their pizza until yesterday have six new people who refuse to recommend to anyone or go back but will definitely let everyone know about how horrible they have been to us especially when we tried calling back and were told once again management was too busy to come to the phone and no one is going to care that it was $130.00 plus tip down the drain for us and on top of it they ruined the little birthday get together we had for her. Very very very unprofessional and I haven't seen any restaurant act this way in a long time EXTREMELY EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! Anthonys Coal Fire Pizza always delivers great food. Last night I took my two kids to dinner (actually they took me for father's day). They are both under 10. The restaurant offered outside seating along with the adjoining restaurants under the new walkway that is now covered. We sat outside as it was a beautiful evening. There was no pre seating set up on the tables i.e., no silverware or napkins. The waiter came over and I asked for two kids menus. To my surprise, there is no kids menu there. What restaurant does not have a kid's menu? No kids sized drinks. Nothing kids sized. My daughter asked for a coloring book. He died being out a literal coloring book and some little pieces of crayons. Nonetheless, my daughter was happy. He did then bring out two balls of dough for the kids to play with. That was nice. We ordered the 4 meatball App., square margarita pizza (that instead of having fresh basil put on it, there was a stalk laid on the side for me to break apart and apply myself). A personal meatball pizza and a personal cheese pizza. We each had a drink (remember no kids sizes). Our total was $60!!!! There were at times that it felt like the easier forgot about us outside as well. I think I'll just stick to getting my order to go. read more

A little pricey but money is never an issue if the food is great. Let's start with the worse part. The chicken breast I'd bet a paycheck is a frozen pre-cooked chicken breast. It was absolutely disgusting, tasted horrible,. and I'm quite shocked they even allowed it to go out the door. No way possible it was a fresh chicken breast. Now onto the Pizza. The Pizza I believe fresh out of the oven and eating it at the location may of made a difference. But when I got it home it was literally cold and soggy. Even though it being cold and soggy, it was good, not bad, not great, just good. The wings were their "original" which were not very good either. The salad was very good.
